we stayed in November for a week in Siargao Inn and we had such a lovely time. Rico is such a lovely person and explained everything to us on our arrival and throughout our stay. Our first dish was the fresh fish of the day - Tuna - wow !!!! so delicious !!!!!!! We stayed on the 1st floor of the beach Bungalows, the Beds are super comfortable, the bathroom big sized and from the balcony a dream view over the pacific ocean !!! The complex of Siargao inn is located so centrally everything was just around the corner - with the scooter or the tricycle. We enjoyed the stay so much that we are already planning out next stay !!!!
Just picture yourself lying down this hammock while reading a book and petting the resident dogs of the hotel. Total relaxation!!! Rooms are clean, aircon is cold, beer in the restaurant is always cold. Enjoyed my stay at this gem in the island.
Just want to say Siargao inn was a awesome place to stay, eat and especially drink! Rico was the most laid back and chill owner ever and his staff was great. The rooms and view where amazing. 5stars!!
This hotel turns our vacation into disaster!! Picked this hotel coz it is 5 star rated, but we were very DISAPPOINTED ! We got there an hour earlier than check in time, but we have to wait because they are still cleaning due to the late check out of the previous guest, and still waiting for more over the supposed to be check in time because they aren’t done cleaning. After another 30 minutes of waiting they finally let us in into our picked room by the ocean view, (additional paid) which is also a minus because there is no way for us to go on the water , it was rocky , algae and not worth soaking your feet into the water. As soon as we get into the room, i already noticed the bed sheets and blankets doesn’t look like they change, and smell it , 90% i doubt ! But i chose not to say anything because we were exhausted from a tour, until we found a fresh stains of blood in the pillow, disgusted!!.. this property is under constructions so it is very noisy and lots of workers around!. At the RESTAURANT at first we got empressed with the flavor except their pork adobo that looks like potato carrots paksiw! We had our first dinner at the restaurant , it was not bad until we got all the dust from the ceiling straight to our food due to the construction going on upstairs( they should be considerate to at least move us or stop them ) ..so they made new one , found a bug in the food, and yet i told my partner to just continue to eat and put the bug in the side of the plate, after we ate we inform the stuff what we found and say nothing..the next day we asked them to change the sheets in the bedroom and to make sure we wont be charge for that blood we found. ... there was no, HOT WATER , it was not working! Cabinets dosn’t close ! Molds and algae on the wall, by humid , i got it!! , holes on the window screens in the bathroom so expect mosquitos! No exhaust fan so the stinks plus humid!..STAFFS are ok when there are NO problems or issues, when a situation arises , you will never see an attitude of a customer service “ except the manager “ they act like they fixing situation by reasoning out!.. with a stinky attitude! .. the manager gave us complimentary food and drinks for all the issues! Finally the day is over!!Check out time, went to the reception and ask the bills , they charged us full amount of 10,659 peso for 2 days accommodation , what make it worst is, we got charged by booking.com 30 percent and still the hotel charged us 100 percent of the full amount!!! Headache!! Found out the hotel have lots of this experienced about this situation. their reason; because they got email from booking.com really late and we checked in already, because their wifi is so slow, so the hotel ask us to settle the situation with the booking.com for the 30 percent instead of them talking to the agency for what business agreement they have ...over all, not worth the pay and specially our time.…
The property has a restaurant and rocky beach access and constructing a small swimming pool. Their wifi is negligible as it cannot be used for a long period of time. The staff need more training in taking care of their guests. Our rooms were not that clean and there are a lot of mosquitoes in their restaurant/reception.
Simply the best place on Siargao Island. Rooms are nice and clean. Food and drinks are great. All stuff members are very nice and helpful. Thank you Rico and stuff for our perfect holiday. We will be back
Did a lot of research for this trip and it paid off big with the Siargao Inn in General Luna !! When you arrive you walk down a tropical path towards the beach, until you come to the restaurant/ bar / office / place you'll be hanging at. Check in was done quickly and bags were off to the room, our room was next to the bar upstairs overlooking the beach. Beautiful second story room overlooking the beach. Noise from the bar was never an issue, as we normally either closed it down or returned from bar hopping after it was closed. I think there are 12 rooms in all, 4 larger oceanfront facing rooms, and others are mixed in and around the jungle tropical setting. All rooms appeared to have balcony / sitting area with 2 chairs. The beach and grounds were beautiful, when they built this place they preserved every tree possible, and have added tropical flowers and different plants to add to the tropical vibe, which the've done well. Numerous beach loungers and hammocks strung thru the trees. I'd call our room decor surfer elegance......great comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows, (bonus points) good solid bed frame that did not squeak, good AC, great large shower, (bonus points) fits 4 very comfortably....... large sliding glass doors with screen doors also, large balcony with 2 great lounge chairs, and clothes line!! The girls and guys at the bar / restaurant were nothing short of OUTSTANDING!! All island girls from the surrounding areas, knew all the ins and outs of the land and different island tours. Very easy to talk and chat with and after the second day they all knew your name. They always knew which of the bars would be going off later in the evening, as it changed from night to night down in General Luna, and they were spot on the nights we went bar hopping. Food and drinks were relativity inexpensive as this isn't a big tourist area yet, it's Cloud 9, surfers and backpackers make up a large percentage of the out of towners. hope its able to stay this way awhile. Food was over the top, loved everything I had, had a better cheeseburger there than what I can get in Florida. Had an eggplant omelette for breakfast the second day, and everyday after that. Everything we had was excellent, drinks, shakes, snacks, dinners. Yeah get this, they even had a bottle of Cuban Rum....I live in Florida and can't get a bottle of Cuban Rum, but travel half way around Mother Earth and find Cuban Rum in the PI. Rico the GM, is onsite everyday and is a hands on guy, and it shows, all the employees enjoy working there, and make the guest feel like family. Rico is always around the bar in the evenings chatting with guests, sharing stories, and sharing a Red Horse or two. We met his parents while we were and enjoyed chatting them. We booked all our tours with them, and unlike many other small resorts who contract the tour services out, all our trip leaders were Siargao Inn employees, who were responsible for food, drinks, Island and tiki hut rental fees, and so on. All tours aspects could not have been better, great coordination with pick ups, transportation, boats, and return, with a cold beer or drink always available. Scooter or car rentals are available, and they can arrange for Bingo transport which is what we used for land tours. Highly recommend them. Great location also, Cloud 9 surfing area 15 minutes away if you turn right out of resort, turn left and General Luna starts in about a 7 minute walk. Also great open air seafood restaurant right across the street with live music every night. Plenty of t-shirt and unique homemade gifts shops within waking distance of the Inn. Negatives : all I've got is in the bar/restaurant area it's open air, and you might get an occasional fly at your table?? That's all I got! This was week 2 of a 2 month long trip hitting a different island every week in the PI. (Coron, El Nido, Boracay, Sabang, Batanges, Cebu. Now that we're back, and remembering and looking back at all my notes, this has to one of the best weeks we had thanks to the whole gang at the Siargao Inn. Thanks again for everything Rico, your team is excellent........the NASA guy! …
We stayed for a week in April and treated ourselves to an enjoyable experience. Staff are knowledgeable of Siargao. Food is plentiful. The property is beachfront. We definitely enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets everyday for 7 days. This is a typical Filipino house by the beach. Simple. Basic. It has what you need. It is laid-back. We truly had a great time at Siargao Inn.
Couple traveller. Helpful staff. Great with info on the nightly disco venues. Food is great. It's smashing but comes with a price. Alcohol is reasonable. Suggest eat out, come home and get sloshed. The rooms are great, the aircon is fantastic. The water pressure on the shower is poor. However the heating is great! If I will return to Siargao, I'll give a 75% chance of returning to stay there.
What a great place to spend 5 Amazing Days! At a relative's suggestion, our group of 9 stayed at this fabulous hotel. We were not disappointed. The place is clean and well appointed. My husband and I were lucky to have a second floor ocean view room. We kept the sliders open, and fell asleep to the sound of the waves and the caress of the wonderful ocean breezes every evening. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise every morning. Breakfast is always made fresh to order. I really enjoyed the tapsilog. We loved our moonlit cocktails on their private beach. Our host, Rico, was extremely kind and helpful, offering many helpful suggestions on activities to do on this island paradise. Thank you Rico and the most wonderful staff at the Siargao Inn. I hope to return soon:)
