We came here twice. First for lunch, and unfortunately they didn't have any fish so no cerviche and sashimi. The second time we went for a wine and the service was a bit clunky (we had to ask for the white wine to be put in a bucket), but the wine list was good and the bottle was nice. So I've given this place 4 stars, because it is still a very nice place, it's not in a major city so produce could be hard to come by, and I'm sure that this is probably a good place for dinner.

The Moroccan chicken tajine is to die for! Went back for it twice and everybody I brought there thought the same thing. Another best seller is the bruschetta and home made ice cream. Pricey but extremely satisfying! Kudos to kawayan's chef and server MJ. Simply the best dining experience every single time :)

I've been going in and out of siargao now for months since last year and I make it a point to visit the restaurant (either breakfast or dinner) almost every time. We usually bring friends along. And at all of those instances they always love it. No complains - just all praises. This time we tried an appetizer make of chili with some sort of cheese dip and some breaded chicken balls. These were absolutely delicious. Also had the seafood pasta which is fantastic and be enough for two people. I really suggest to people that are planning to Siargao is to at least try eating at the restaurant.

We chose this resort as a friend of mine went and said it was beautiful. My family and me loved it: amazing huge bungalow very private as surrounded by a lush tropical garden (and just 2 rooms, so it feels very private) set up in a native style but with a contemporary twist. Both my kids and me felt in love with the open shower (the young one still talks about it!). Food is also very very good: French food at its best. We loved this resort and would recommend it. Just be aware it's not on the beach but the access to Cloud 9 is just 2 minutes away. Davis the owner was very helpful.

David and his team at Kawayan are fantastic hosts. The location is perfect to Cloud9. The food is fresh and very good. Home baked bread, and great pasta's. The team is ever so helpful with any request, and friendly at all times. We loved our stay and will return in near future. We already miss Siargao.
