Detailed Reviews
It was one of the best hostel that I stayed in Philippine! I really recommend it, clean beds and very friendly stuff, always there to help you. We had dinner together almost every night, it felt like home.

+1
THe hostel had a good atmosfere and they provide tours and daytrips. The staff was very nice and welcoming.
Kitchen was also fine. You can make your own coffee and use the fridge. There is a water bottle so you can refill, it does cost 20 php per day per person.
· We had a private room (2d cabin). It was so Moldy. It smelled terrible, the showerhead was full of mold, the bathroom was really small ( to shower, you had to accept the stinky water due to the mold, and almost stand in the toilet itself)
We didn't ask for another room or anything so maybe the could solved it but we decided to go after 2 days. I heared they were building a new facility so maybe this get less attention atm.

The owner is a violent and aggressive person that threatened me saying he was going to get me banned from the island, took pictures of me and when I took a pic of him, he stole me phone and he pushed me and hit me. Could u believe it? I’m a solo travel and never have this experience and never expected a Filipino would hurt a women. Not only that, he threw all my stuff to the street and break my luggage. I had to call for help and other guests came to rescue me and helped me to go to a new hostel ( even when I had paid for 5 nights in salty nomads. They told me the saw everything and were afraid to stay there. Not only the owner is violent to hit women, the room didn’t have doors, was full of mosquitos and hot. Only 2 toilets and showers for everyone. Don’t go there and take care if you are a women solo traveler #metoo

I ended up here by chance and what a blessing it was. I stayed here 4 nights in a private room and had an awesome time. I met so many other travelers from all over Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. What makes this place so special is the team who run it (a shout out to Geo and May) who make you feel at home. They organize their own tours and have scooters for rent. There's always an activity planed each day and night and they ensure all the guests are engaged in the festivities.

Salty Nomads was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Not one of the best, just THE best. It truly felt like a family. Geo and May are such amazing people and go above and beyond to make everyone feel included and is having an amazing time. Make a highlight of your trip and be a salty brother/Seaster!
So all in all. Amazing staff, awesome hostel activities, great atmosphere. But I didn't catch any waves so 3/10.
