The resort in overalls is beautiful. Stuff are very friendly, tasty food and drink clean and comfortable. Very quiet area but with 5min walking distance to the bars, restaurants and shops. Recommending to everyone family's and couples.

The villas are beautiful and big, the gardens are well mantained and the views around are gorgeus, but it lacks of atmosphere. I feel like the staff doesn't angage much with the guests, the service is poor and sometimes they come across serious. The first interaction is with the reception lady and she didn't welcome us well. She gave us the key very quick and answered our questions with short words, I couldn't even see a smile on her face. At the restaurant for breakfast you have to always chase the satff to get a drink, they never come and offer something. my husband requested a black americano, they brough it to the table but they forgot to ask me if i wanted something and this happended every single morning i ate there; i stayed 5 days. The hotel is lovely but i think the staff could improve.

We were rather unlucky with the weather while we were on the island, so in many ways we benefited from the superb accommodation offered in the premiere suite with private balcony. The location right by the beach is stunning and the water is shallow a long way out, so there are patches you can swim in the calm water, or just wade out and enjoy the view. The food was good & the service extremely helpful. The breakfast option is good but they limit one small cup of coffee per head. They want 70 pesos per cup after that. For the room rate they charge, it wouldn’t cost them too much to give you the 2nd cup of coffee for free. The island itself is quite backpacker-touristy, and has a good surf vibe. Perhaps not entirely what we were looking for, but it was always friendly and sociable. We went to the secret beaches & magpopongko (both in the rain, so not ideal, but we were getting wet anyway!) Otherwise we stayed around the resort - a great place to unwind & relax.

Have you ever stayed at a hotel and they did everything completely wrong for you but treated everyone else very well. Yeah neither have I…but unfortunately this was that experience for us. From our transfer trying to take us to another hotel, then reception lying to our face about it, to them down grading our room without telling us and when we asked what happened they tell us we will transfer you to your room tomorrow (unacceptable), to making us sit in rain for breakfast and having to open our umbrella to stay dry while we eat and when a white couple walks in they create a table in the dry area (racism or poor service or both?), to not having any food on the menu we want, ugh…oh ya getting soaked in the rain because staff took our umbrellas when cleaning. Ugh honestly I can’t wait to get home from this nightmare holiday vacation.

The villa was great and the amenities (pool, surf/paddleboards, scooter, etc.) were nice. The restaurant had a great lunch & dinner options, but the breakfast buffet was below-average. If it wasn't included in our stay, we would have had breakfast elsewhere. Also, it's a bit confusing that "restaurant credit" and "food & beverage credit" is listed, when in fact you get no credit at all, you can simply use a credit card there. It seems to be a language/translation issue and not a huge deal to us, but some other people expecting food 'credits' to use like cash might be upset about this mixup. Overall a great stay.

We were not informed about the construction that was ongoing in the resort. After multiple flights and more than $150 USD a night for what was supposed to be a relaxing and romantic 4 night island vacation, we could not sleep past 7am or rest in the afternoon due to the constant banging. When I politely voiced my complaint and asked if another room was available, the otherwise friendly staff quickly became very defensive and rude. The three staff behind the desk eventually said they would check if we could be moved to a room further from the construction but no follow up attempt was ever made by them to inform us. I made this known again by the time we checked out to a different, very friendly but ultimately unhelpful front desk staff who confirmed with the manager that we indeed had never received any notice about the noise. The previous three had not logged the complaint though another room was readily available. In the end, we received no significant concession despite the confirmation that we were a) never informed prior to arrival, b) received no follow up after the initial complaint and c) a better room was available to us, but never given. We instead received a free airport transfer (around $15 USD value) and we got in the van to leave with a very negative experience. The resort is otherwise very nice and comfortable minus the occasional pile of dog turds, and until you complain the staff was very friendly. I could not recommend for the price we paid and experience we had.

We stayed here for 5nights and it was a wonderful stay! The staff is amazing! Front desk is always so helpful. Mam Cel helped us out with all the information we need for our tours! The restaurant staff at Warung are so helpful. Wonderful breakfast fusion of Filipino and Indonesian dishes. The restaurant has good Indonesian food, very flavorful! Our room was Sky Villas- beautiful view of the beach- sunset is amazing. AC is great, so is the wifi. Slept well, housekeeping comes regularly. Dogs in the property all friendly and adorable. The pool is relaxing especially after a day of going to the beach! Property has motorbike rentals all in good condition.

The Siargao Island Villas are a great place to stay in Siargao. The rooms are really spacious and we really appreciate the outside balcony for added space and a great place to enjoy the tropical breeze. The restaurant is also one of the best on the island. The breakfast is great also.

It has been a horrible experience in every way. The restaurant and pool area are well maintained but the rooms are, both the new and the old villas, very poorly maintained. The first two nights we slept in Villa 1, it was one of the modern ones and it was right next to the construction works (from 7am to 5pm), which made it impossible to sleep after 7am in case you wanted to rest a bit longer. After 2 nights we asked for a change of room where we could rest better, and they offered us the island villa 8 (supposedly a higher range room) and at first they told us that we should pay the price difference per night. We refused and then they agreed to make the change… in the end, I don't know what was worse if the noise from the construction of the previous room (in addition to the fact that the water came out orange in the shower and toilet)... or the constant strong smell of pee in the bathroom of the room we were changed to. Not to mention the cockroach I found inside of the room… During the stay we asked reception on more than 3 occasions to clean the bathroom because it smelled like pee. Reception staff does not seem to enjoy guest servicing, they make you feel like you are asking for big favors instead of like a guest. Cleaning service was not great nor dedicated... they would normally forget to replace towels or bring toilet paper once exhausted. So we had to keep calling for asking for those with the subsequent long faces.. Even breakfast is a buffet with very few options… 2 of the 4 days we went out for breakfast! There have been lots of small things that after 4 days make it annoying and exhausting to be “fighting” with the hotel to try to enjoy a decent stay, which definitely shouldn’t be the way to feel during your vacation. We thought it necessary to be raised to share it with other potential guests. This was definitely not a good experience and it is difficult to believe anyone would be satisfied, let alone happy after staying here. Finally, upon our check-out, we shared this feedback with the reception staff, who did not seem to care much about it… Nothing like this had ever happened to us… We live in Philippines and people are super friendly and helpful but this hotel has been a complete disappointment. We don’t recommend to stay here, you can easily find better options in the island!
