Our Yamma beachfront house stay was both relaxing and memorable last dec 17 to 21. We wanted some privacy from the active hustle of the usual surfing fave spots(yes, we are not surfers😁) but at the same time enjoy the beachfront.. Ushering the usual december rains of Siargao, we were fortunate enough to witness a sunrise though not the sunset due to the late afternoon to nighttime outpour. Daily sight of a rainbow even with the whole arc compensated for our afternoon stroll. A deluxe room at the beachfront is where we stayed (room 1) which was spacious, well-lit, soft and comfy queen bed and linens (loved it) and a generous supply of water from the shower/ toilet and even the for drinking provided with a large dispenser (not the usual mineral water bottles that we usually end up requesting for more) so we were happy for that. One can hear the sound of construction from a nearby villa during the day, but no more at night and we didin't mind as we went out island hopping . Their partner Barrel Bar with a 2-3 min walk to the main highway was one of the delectable eating spots in General Luna with large serving sizes - love their chicken. The Filipina owner- madam as she is called was kind, soft spoken and accomodating. We can always go back to this place when we visit Siargao.

Set along the beach, Yama gave us 2 very relaxing nights away from the traffic and noise of the nearby Tourist Road.
Each cottage has a lovely sea view. The room was very spacious and immaculate and included a fridge and kettle. The free drinking water, tea and coffee was appreciated. They even very thoughtfully included washing up liquid and spong for cleaning dishes/cups etc. The room had an aircon but we only needed the ceiling fan. The bathroom, again immaculate, had a hot shower. We were impressed by the overall standard of features and cleanliness. The balcony infront of the cottage had a bed/settee to laze around on. The garden has a number of tables, chairs and hammocks to relax and admire to view out to sea. There is a pool table too. The Staff, especially Nini, were all very pleasant and helpful.
We would definitely consider staying at Yama again if in General Luna. J&S

We've been stranded in Siargao during Covid quarantine and by chance we've found Yama appartments. The owners made huge discount on the room price and were so kind and helpful, so was all the staff. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The atmosphere was great and peaceful with a sofa on the terrace, a pool table, hammocks on the beachfront. Moreover Yama's guests have 15% discount in Barrel restaurant that provides delicious burgers and chickens stuff. We highly and definitely recommend this place!

Everything, including de owner, was such a surrealist experiencie. Lots of noices, insects, bathroom dirty, air cold broken and without electricity sometimes.

When you’re too intoxicated at work and wanted to escape even for awhile then my friend this is the place for you. Private, calming and a real paradise. The location is superb the staff are very warm the food in the barrel bar really superb and a must try. I wanted to come back here again love this place. Two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻
