Spent just one night and got a large room. King size bed. Functioning bathroom with hot water.
Borongan is a small city and i was not expecting a structure like this.
Just breakfast was not good. I am vegetarian and... I starved.

I arrived Borongan around 9pm, considering I took the last trip of the shuttle from Tacloban. At first I was hesitant to stay in this hotel since this one's literally an expensive place to be. But nevertheless, staying here for 2 nights wasn't bad at all. From the front desk who were all accommodating and very helpful, I didnt have any regrets that I chose to be here. The hotel has everything you need, it has a supermarket at the ground floor, near to Shuttle terminal. Whenever you'll be in Borongan, I would recommend you to stay here. Room rates are not that expensive but it is worth!

My Fiance told me this was the place to stay in Borongan. It was connected to a mall and near the center of town. I could not find a website that supported this Hotel to make reservations, so I had to look the number up online. Did some searching but I did find it. My Fiances brother who works in Borongan got me the number also. I called to make reservations and the lady on the phone seemed rather bothered that I was calling. Like I was taking up her time or something. The room we got was nice and clean. Our room was on the top floor and near the back of the building. There was a bar below us that did have a dance one of the nights and the music was very loud. Made it hard to sleep till it ended. Everything worked well.

Mom and I stayed for about 3 weeks in Feb and March of 2012 (NOT May). We had such a restful and good stay there, we've recommended to family and friends visiting Borongan.

The hotel is adjacent to the Uptown Mall, and is also seems just a block or so to the center or town. Amenities include a restaurant, pool, disco, gym, laundry service, security, banquet room, and its own generator to insure no effect from from power outtages. A bank, courier service, shops, a laundrymat are steps away.

We had a jr. suite and asked for a roll-away bed. Very roomy and easy to manuver, especially since we had our full allotment of baggage and many visitors. We much appreciated the spotless room overlooking the pool and sunrise vistas, clean linens, comfy beds, air conditioning, satellite tv, and very cordial staff.

HDV as our home base very much helped us transition from temperate to tropical climate and went along way in helping my elder asthmatic mom enjoy a wonderful homecoming.

Really had a great stay while visiting Borongan in Eastern Samar. Staying at hotel Dona Vicenta really made the experience! I was part of a difficult medical mission and having the beautiful clean hotel to come home to each night was a blessing. Staff was kind and honest, very courteous and quick. The in house laundry service was cheap and fast. Food and drink by the poolside was delicious. The shower was a bit confusing in the room but once I was instructed on how to use it I had no other problems.

Nice hotel. Make sure to bring cash as they do not take credit cards. The Presidential Suite is very roomy. Can sleep several people. Has a refrigerator and a hot pot for boiling water. Room bathroom was nice and had good A/C. Suggest you let A/C run a long time to get rid of the bad smell in the room. No hotel WiFi but they do have computer access through the T.V. Hotel sits in front of the Pool Side Restaurant and next to the UpTown Mall. Rooms and hallways are clean and the staff is very friendly.

I was so disappointed the way they handle their costumer.we were booked for typhoon ruby for thursday and friday only.since the weather forecast was not yet clear we told the receptionist that we are not sure if we are going to extend our stay.yesterday as we checked in we requested for extension til saturday. Only to find out that on saturday our room was already booked by somebody. We were not asked if we had planned for extension. They even asked our contact number but they didn't contacted us. We tried to talked to the management , we beg for one room only for our extension. Even just their function hall. So disgusted they did nothing. What we did we checked out so that we still have time to searched a shelter for our family.

First of all, its a blessing to find such a decent Hotel, where you can sleep peacefully in a some what neat and clean room. Therefore, there can be no complains on what I don't have in this Hotel. I only wish that, what is already provided by the Hotel is also maintained well, so that, its own Investment is not lying waste and useless for its customer. The Hotel must urgently pay attention to Noisy air conditioner, dysfunctional hand shower, leaky water tap and those terrible door locks. By the way, what do i do with a tea kettle without having supplements?. Do I really crave for warm water in this hot climate. Any way, as I said before, don't want to complain much, am contended to find a good room to sleep at night, and get on with my business during the day.

The hotel is very accessible as it is situated on the highway close to the city center. The only mall in town is right beside it. There are shops and eating places within easy walking distance. The rooms are basic and clean but need a bit of refurbishing. The staff are nice and helpful.

The key negative point (considering the price) is that my room didn't have a 'real' window - there was a window with blinds but you can't see anything through it - as most probably it's just a wall. But I guess it's better than not having any fake window at all. My colleague's room window was to the hallway. I asked if there's a room with a window that I can transfer to but they said they no longer have any other room available that time.
The room was very clean, bed sheets and towels smelled nice and fresh - no overpowering fabric conditioner smell. Complimentary toiletries, bottled water (but only the first day, you can request for service water if you need more). Water heater didn't work but I don't mind it. Serving size of the complimentary breakfast was rather small - 1 fried egg, a cup of rice and either 3 small pieces of hotdog or a half-fist size of sweetened pork, then instant coffee or instant hot choco. You get to enjoy it by the pool though.
The reception and housekeeping staff were also accommodating and eager to help.
Free wifi access only at the lobby. I was happy to use my own mobile data in my room but I can't get a signal there.
It's also connected to a "mall" with a grocery store.
