I love how everyone is like your friends already even you just met them there. The staff will welcome you warmly. The rooms and restrooms are always clean. There are spaces and events that encourages people to bond. The ambience promotes creativity and comfort to people far away from home. Downside is the lack of emergency preparedness. Overall, I will very likely come back to this place once I hit up Baler again.

Overall experience was very good. However, during emergencies like brown outs facilities should have generators, back up supply of electricity etc... Beacause its hard to deal with beast mosquitos all over the place.

People running the hostel are very accommodating and friendly. Common areas has the coolest vibe, mini skateboard ramp, bean bags with charging stations. They practice CLAYGO. You can arrange VAN transfers, Tour and they offer Surfing Lessons. I think the only downside during our stay is that you can't expect 100% cleanliness, especially inside the common bathrooms/toilet. But still I will definitely stay here again.

I've lost count on how many times I've stayed at this hostel. Friendly vibe, affordable lodging, and comfortable facilities. It's not as fancy as other hostels The Circle has its own charm. If you want to meet new friends and discover hidden gems around Baler, join the Circle :) Shout out to the friendly staff: Ate Viah, Kuya Cesar, Ate Grace, and Kuya Onyo!

Really nice staff, everyone’s super welcoming, surf board rental available and it’s real comfortable with bean bags, beds and it’s got a little three foot kicker for the skater boyz. Beach is really close by, shops and tricycle stands around the corner. I loved staying here and would definitely go again.

By far my favorite hostel!! This place is a magnet for good vibes. Quickly, strangers become friends... some even family. So, if you like to meet new awesome people, to have fun and of course to surf, this is the place you're looking for. Miss you guys! See you soon! #nostrangers

Short walk from the beach, surf shops and local restaurants. Low key, friendly and relaxing place with hammocks, board racks, mini half-pipe next to a spacious lounging platform of bean bags and what not. Nice little dorm hut with bunk beds and mosquito nets (There is a limited amount of private room) The only downside is music from nearby establishments, which got quiet around 1 AM anyway. You'd probably feel too wiped from surfing and drinking that Lambanog local coconut wine to bother. Friendly and helpful staff. On the right night, we shipped in the money and Rafael who runs the place made us best sashimi in the world with fresh fish caught just an hour before. Stayed there four nights with a group of friends, really amazing!

We had an unfortunate few days in Baler, where we came to surf, but the conditions weren't great & it rained the whole time! Luckily for us, Circle had hot showers, comfy beds & a nice chill area to watch movies. There is free drinking water and Tom & Jerry the hostel cats are great for a cuddle! We liked the style & ethos of the place, nice vibe, no wifi & friendly folks. Nice to see a lot of Philippinos visit here too.

Arrived using the Joy bus from Manila, took about 5 1/2 hours. Staff were around from 6:30am so not really much point arriving before that even though there is a phone number posted on the gate to call just in case you do. An open kitchen with free cold and warm water to drink . Stove can be used for 50php per use. Small area with seating for dining. Skateboarding ramps next to the kitchen. Seating area with charging stations, tables and beanbags for hanging around. Mixed dorms, hammocks and privates rooms are available, all with fans. Girls and boys separate bathrooms with toilets and showers available, with hot water! Quite a few food establishments within walking distance as well as a short walk to the beach! I took a surf lesson from the hostel for 350php, guide came to the hostel to pick me up and he was a great and patient teacher. Very helpful and accommodating staff. There was a scheduled power outage but we were informed in time. Not got wifi , this does help you to connect with other people in the large open air seating area upstairs but it would be useful.
