Pacific waves inn has 2 buildings, the main and the annex. We stayed in the annex which is the newer building and has parts which are still under construction.

PROS:
-The staff are helpful and responsive to the client's needs.
-The room we stayed was clean and with good water supply
-The inn is near the surfing schools, around 5-10 minute walk to the beachfront, but other accommodations are literally just few steps away from the beach.

CONS:
-The location of the inn is a bit far from eateries and restaurants but they also offer food and beverages in their lobby unfortunately i was not able to try it.

Overall it was a great experience, but i will try other accommodations next time :)

it was on the month of May 2015, that my girlfriend And I visited baler for the first time. Before we travelled going there, I did the research and reservation. I suggest That anyone who are planning to go on vacation Must First do a research, About the place you are about to visit. It really Helps a lot when you do your own research. We booked a room at pacific waves inn. Thru the Pacific Waves inn website, I booked a room good for 2-3 persons at the annex building. The annex building is not a beachfront but the main building is. That detail is indicated On their website as well. The room's price is 1,300 pesos and it has this rustic vibe. It has a hammock in front of each room, it has 2 Beds. A single bed and a double bed. It is an airconditioned room, 1 bathroom and it has no television. We don't need tv anyway because we kept ourselves busy with our phones and other gadgets because the inn has a free wifi access plus we have 4G so surfing the net wasn't a problem after all. You can buy your own food from the market and the staff let you use the utensils and cooking equipment. You just have to pay for the usage of the lpg. We didn't cook there. We wanted to try out the famous rolling stores which sells very affordable set meals, gerry shan's buffet restaurant, baler surfer grill, hungry surfers and the bay's inn restaurant. We were able to try and eat in all of those mentioned restaurants while we were in Baler! It was a really satisfying and fulfilling experience. The staff of Pacific Waves inn are nice and they offered a day tour for us. they contacted a tricycle driver with an official ID from the baler tourism Office so the fee is all fair and square. For 800 pesos for 2-3 persons in a tricycle the tour includes museo de baler, old balete tree, quezon park, aurora quezon's house, ditumabo or the mother falls, lukso2 islets. The tricycle driver/ tourist guide / photographer is quite nice and respectful. We started the tour at 8am and we went back to the inn at around 4pm. When we visited the inn there was an on going construction of the rooms and the pool in front of our room. They are still planning to expand the inn because compared to other hotels and inns around baler this is quite the most affordable, clean, cozy and fair enough the staff are accommodating. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Pacific Waves Inn.

Got fooled by this resort. We made the reservation on their frontdesk and said that we'll get a room for April 2 Saturday but was corrected by one of the staff saying that it was the 3rd that was a Saturday, out of trust we didn't bother to check anymore and booked that date. I just recently realized that it was the 2nd that was a Saturday and when I tried to call and rebook, 2nd was no longer available and that we'll be charged 50% if we refund. Very nice. I'd suggest to avoid this place as much as possible. There are much nicer accommodations that I would like to think are honest on dealing with customers.

We stayed in the beach side family room (6-7pax). The room was spacious, tv with cable, deck where you can cook/eat, and free wifi. Affordable and clean!

They also offer surfing lesson for 300php instead of the regular price of 350php. Our regular instructor was Marlon, Enzo, Poi, Felix, Randy and forgot the other one. They were really nice! We stay 4 days and 3 nights everytime we visit Baler.

The best surfing time is around 8am and in the afternoon around 3pm.

My friends, daughter and I, went to Baler for the first time just this weekend for my birthday celebration. Costa Pacifica was fully booked and other places, too, so I ended up staying at the Pacific Waves Inn. There were 5 of us and I was able to book a room good enough for 8 pax.

BOOKING PROCESS: It was efficient. They strictly allow you to do this only through their website. You browse thru their list of rooms and can only click on a room of your choice if it's still available, otherwise, you can't proceed with the process. Soon as I made the deposit and emailed the slip to them, I immediately received a booking confirmation. And I got the exact room that I booked.

I like nice hotels. I try to go for comfort and convenience more than the price. So, I was really aiming for Costa Pacifica and was disappointed that it was fully booked. When we got to Pacific Waves Inn, I was initially disheartened with the initial look of the place and the area. But then again.....

THE ROOM: Clean with good air condition and strong wifi. The T&B was small though. You could sit on the toilet and take a bath at the same time. It's that small! But it has good running water. There were 4 twin beds and since there were only 5 of us, we had good space for sleeping. All for only P3,500!

DINING. Bring your own food and drinks, or you can dine outside. There are many afforadable restaurants around the area. We tried the famous Gerry Shan's buffet for P200, which comes with a number of main courses and bottomless iced tea. The food is good, considering the price. I am from Pampanga, so I hope my opinion counts for something. Pacific Waves Inn can assist though, like in the morning, we ordered rice, coffee and juice and they prepared that for us. But it was more of like 'an accommodation' rather than an available service. The place could do better if they readily offer cold drinks and snacks/meals. After trying to learn surfing, you can really get thirsty or hungry.

THE BEACH: I got the beachfront room, and it was for real - beach front. They have an annex which would be a couple of meters more from the beach but still a good walking distance. I am not a beach bum. In fact, I often prefer the pool. I'm not fond of beach sand and I find the water to be too salty to be fun and it often hurts my skin. But Sabang Beach in Baler was fun, especially in our area. I'm not a beach expert so I don't know how it can change from our area to the next. All I know is that I enjoyed the sand and water there, surfing or not.

SURFING. Please don't go there without trying surfing. It does not hurt. It's tiring, but fun! The instructors are also very nice.

PARKING SPACE. Not a problem in Pacific Waves Inn.

Thumbs up!....Just don't take the Bongabon route to and from Baler. NOOOO!!!

This became a pushed-against-the-wall choice during our 2nd day stay that long weekend we visited Baler. Others didn't have websites. Been booked to 5-star hotels but there was never an instance when the first thing you do is sign something that tells u u'd be responsible for the damages inside the room when u'v barely settled down.
And at their price, not even a roll of tissue paper comes free with it.
Whatever assigned smoking place they have isn't fair for an asthmatic like me since they have it at the entrance to the rooms's alley.
The staff were kind but they can do nothing about the owners' rules.
Woe to them! The other establishments we stayed on the first day and the others we asked around when we were already there can afford to offer free toiletries & breakfast at half or 2/3 of the price they charge.
Now, how can you recommend them when most travellers barely use the room when we go to explore a place?
Hopefully the owners will come to realize that it's not all about the room with tv & wi-fi & parking space only that should come with their charge.

Positive:
-They provided us a temporary room (without AC) because we arrived early, we used the room for less than 2 hours.
-The old lady at the resort is friendly
-no more

Negative:

before confirming my reservation I asked their reservation staff if the rooms I'm getting are beach front since the picture states "ocean view". I even asked a very definite question "if i look from my window, will I see Sabang beach?" she immediately answer YES! so I paid in full as they require full payment for the reservation.

I arrived July 2 (Saturday) very excited to see Baler even after a tiring 6 hour drive. but after seeing my room I got very disappointed. Their place is not beach front, they are located at the back of another beachfront resort. Their ocean view rooms are located at the side or their building facing another resort... so WHERE IS THE OCEAN VIEW!!!! the pictures on their website are very misleading. Room looks messy and old, no water heater. one of our rooms has poor AC unit. my room AC went off when i get back from the beach @10:30am. since its near check out time I did not bother asking the front desk. But I learned upon check out that the caretaker turned it off from the breaker because they know we went out. what???? But they forgot to turn it back on even they saw us when we arrived.....I will never go back to this resort and if all resorts are fully booked I will just reschedule my trip.

Friendly and accomodating staff, great food although it took almost an hour for our food to arrive and only a few seconds walk to the beach, but it needs a bigger parking space and I also like that it's 5 - 10 minutes away from a bar and a coffee shop.

WE stayed a the Pacific Waves Annex.
There is a construction happening and in order to get into their supposed "front desk" you would
need to shout at the workers at the 2nd floor in order for them to stop working or have the risk of cement dropping on your head.
It was my sister's reservation but I was able to check in even without presenting any print our confirmation voucher nor any ID to confirm my reservation. A sure security risk for the inn.
By 2pm, there was a brown out and the gen set that they have could only provide power for the lights. No aircon amidst a 39C humid weather. This lasted the whole afternoon.
At night time, we also experienced erratic power supply, to the point that the airconditioning units no longer cools down our room.
Thankfully, water supply is strong, but then again, the water heater in the room is so hard to manage that you get either very cold or very warm water.
There is cable TV in the rooms so at least, we were entertained. There is free "slow" wifi.
Servers are apologetic and very much willing to provide what they can - to call for tricycle should you wish to go the the city center or go sight seeing.
The kids loved the hammock right outside our room, but we noticed that this tends to be a problem as other unit occupants tend to stay here as well and if you are sleeping, you would definitely be bothered with the noise.
So there, our realization is, you get what you pay for, it is definitely a cheap place to stay in, but no, we will not stay here again.
