Thank you to the staffs who looked after us, i am afraid I don’t remember their names.
Oh one last thing..... try their fresh fruit shakes.
The place is so relaxing. Their resto/bar is overlooking the beach. The food is excellent. The rooms are not that expensive - Php1400 to 1600 per night, complete with towels, tv, AC, hot shower. It is not luxurious, but very decent and clean.
What I really like about this hotel is the staff. They are the friendliest and most accommodating that I ever encountered. The owner/management must be very lucky to have them. I never hesitated to show them gratitude by leaving extra tip every after meal.
The food - very tasty and in big serving. Ala Gerry's Grill yet its way cheaper.
PROS:
- Affordable: It is not a luxury hotel, but it is very clean and well-maintained...not to mention they provide well for their guests (more on that later). For around 4,500 PHP for a room good for four people, with free breakfast and a 2nd-floor room with a great view of the sea...this was an amazing stroke of luck for us especially since this was during the summer season.
- Excellent Location: Along Sabang beach, there are several beachfront properties and Bayler View Hotel is in the middle of all these. Facing the beach, if you go left there is the Baler Surfer Grill with their signature Volkswagen grill. Go right and there's the Hungry Surfer restaurant. Behind the hotel is Yellow Fin, which serves amazing grilled food like yellow fin tuna, pork liempo and squid.
- Well-Provisioned:
--- OUTSIDE: Along the open hallway there were clothes racks that we used to hang our wet towels and swimwear. There were also these varnished driftwood benches outside the rooms and power outlets near them.
---- INSIDE: For each of us there was: A bottle of water, one pair of disposable room slippers, a toothbrush with a little tube of toothpaste, several cotton buds (or q-tips), and a towel. There were also hangers in the cabinet and a new roll of toilet paper. Sounds pretty basic, but you'd be surprised how many hotels with this same price provide much less.
- Clean and well-maintained: The room had no musty smell (yey!) or any other weird unpleasant odors (another yey!). The bathroom didn't have moldy walls or floors. The air conditioning unit looked clean and did not breathe out bad smells (here again with the smells). Nothing in the room was broken or needed repair.
- Good Service: My sister banged up her knee while we were surfing and she needed a cold compress. We asked if they could lend us an ice pack and they sent one up right away. The lady at the reception desk is always smiling and ready to help.
- Good Food: Though not GREAT food, their restaurant served a good, hefty breakfast (for the average Filipino). If you're used to American-sized servings, then I don't think a single serving of their free breakfast will suffice. ALSO they serve VERY tasty homemade ice cream. Please try it!
CONS:
- Clutter: From the restaurant and on our way to our room on the 2nd floor, there was a lot of clutter in the courtyard (or atrium, whatever that space is called). No big deal, it's just something we pass by anyway.
- Cold Floor: The floor of the room was cold and clammy, but since there were slippers provided, then this did not bother us too much.
- No beachfront washing area: This is something I think should be a staple in every beachfront property. I did not see a washing area for sandy feet at the entrance of the hotel facing the beach.
- Small waves: This beach is for beginners so the bigger waves are found in another beach (like Cobra Reef). Also the month of May doesn't boast big waves--best season is said to be from October to April.
- No in-room WiFi: We had mobile data anyway so this was fine. If you really need WiFi, there's free WiFi available at the hotel restaurant downstairs.
OVERALL: If we're on a budget, I will definitely come back to this hotel! It isn't swanky but we were very comfortable here.
they told me they gonna help...i hope that this hotel could give consideration, because its not really litte money that i send...and that i trust the person i called to the hotel that all my inquiries can be answered by Ms Sheila thru Email....
its really a traumatic experience...
I hope this will not happened anymore to anyone, I hope and pray that this will be a call to the hotel....God Bless everyone!
We also went to other hotel to eat and some resto, but Bayler view really has fast service and their staffs are all friendly.
Another one is I stained their towel due to hair color. And they didn't ask me to pay for it.
I am really happy that we got to stay at Bayler View. Truly they're the best at Sabang - in terms of service, scenery (front of Sabang) and affordable than others. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Baler.

So there you go it up to you if you want to try it or not :)
Their restaurant had a very good choices of food and although it's going to take a while for your food to arrive, their foods were so delicious! Their choco-nut turon was very outstanding! as a matter of fact, we tried eating out at a different restaurant before we came home but we had to eat one last choco-nut turon before we left. Also, they had a complimentary breakfast!
It was a good experience knowing that after you had a very long tiring day touring around and swimming at the beach, you'd still get this feeling that you're in a very nice safe place where you can relax and sleep all day... Also, one thing I liked about this hotel was that their bathrooms had a bidet which was excellent!!
unfortunately, their wifi only works in the first floor so my boyfriend had to come down all the time and stay at the lobby just to get wifi.
Overall, great staff, very clean place, and scrumptious food got me want to come back again to this hotel!
The reservation staff is responsive with my queries both email and sms.
They have parking space. No swimming pool.
