While visiting family in Baler (first time everyone was together from different countries back to the Philippines for a family holidays visit), we found this listing. The price is right and the experience was like going to a beach home, if we had one. L’Sirene has several features that had great appeal for us including a stress free environment, other guests in nearby rooms/cabanas were all friendly and we met a couple that were frequent visitors. It’s dog friendly and family friendly, and the staff was accommodating. The food was great and the private beach is quiet and felt like we were the only ones there-not a busy public beach. We liked the stay so much we had 2 rooms booked for most of the week, and invited family to enjoy the peaceful surroundings by booking 2 additional rooms for a couple of nights. We will definitely be back!

Baler is one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. With long sandy beaches, lush jungle covered mountains, waterfalls and some of the best and most accessible surfing in the country, Baler is surprisingly undiscovered. Sabang beach is the most popular beach in the area and can be crowded on the weekends with the few hotels full and very expensive. A much better alternative lies on the other beaches in the area which are both prettier, less crowded and more unique.

L’sirene is in an idyllic location on a long, lonely stretch of beach with no other hotels or even any other buildings nearly as far as you can see. It is postcard beautiful and features great breaks for surfing and shady trees and breezy afternoons on the berm of the beach. There is also a nice pool for relaxation after surfing or just cooling off for non surfers.

The hotel is well maintained. The food is good and the staff there is friendly, helpful and super accommodating. For example, I had to cancel my last reservations because I couldn’t get there due to the Covid lock down. And hotel management cheerfully canceled the reservation and gave me a full refund. They have always been very helpful on all my visits; giving me rides into town, arranging transport such as the express bus back to Manila. I have stayed in a lot of hotels on my numerous trips to Baler and L’Sirene is by far the nicest and the best value. It’s location and staff make it a must stay if you visit Baler. I highly recommend L’Sirene!

What I like most about this property is you have a lounge pool right out your doorstep (we stayed at rooms A1 to A4), a medium sized lap pool under the shade of the coconut trees, and the Baler beach with its trademark waves. It has an exclusive feeling because no other resorts are nearby, and this adds to the peaceful and restful ambiance of the property. It is quiet at night, perfect if you want to have a good night's sleep or chat with family. We had a bonfire at the beachfront after we had our dinner. If you are with family members composed of seniors and young children you've found the right place. They have their own restaurant also so no need to worry about where to eat. Be careful not to misplace or break any linens and glassware in the room so you won't be charged extra for incidentals.

It was our first time travelling to Baler. We are a family of three, our toddler is 3 years old. We booked 13 out of the 15 rooms in L'Sirene and happy to say we all enjoyed our stay. The rooms are big in size and the two queen beds are worth the money. Sleep quality is excellent, mattress, sheets, pillows are all comfortable and smell very clean. Take note that the bathroom is two separate areas. To the left is the toilet and to the right is the bath area.
Amenities are extremely limited. Free standard soap while shampoo, conditioner and body wash is inside the dispenser in the bath area. Also, there is no refrigerator in the rooms. We had to bring our own cooler and buy ice
quite a long drive away. Take note of this if you are travelling with babies.
The pool area is very nice, and the restaurant is 4 out of 5. Not bad quality food. We had breakfast there each day and spaghetti and fries on another night. Just take note that the restaurant does not open til about 7 or 730 as the cook arrives late.
It is also a short walk to the beach, and on the way there you will see another wading pool fronting the beach.

** Note of caution. Please do not let your kids run along the wet tile in front of your rooms. One of our friends' kids was walking and slipped and hit his head really hard on the tile. Thank God nothing serious.
** This is also about 15 mins drive from Costa Pacifica area. And to get into the L'Sirene property you must drive for about eight minutes along rough road.

A gem in Baler, fifteen minutes away from town, away from the crowd. Beach is fantastic.

The less travel path , comfortable, enough parking space., top with the best local food, heaven!

Property owner is responsive, hands on.

As an after thought if you are going by car, do not trust waze and google map, best to send message to the responsive property owner.

I always belive that gem, is really hard to find.

Lovely place.. truly botique. Loved the white theme, the place was clean with all the necessities. It was a family vacation, the kids loved the pool and the adults the coffee and the palm trees. Lazed around.. ordered a ton of food from the HNGRY MRMD and even tried my hand at surfing.. worth the 5 hour drive from Manila.

I really commend the staffs here as they very accommodating to their guests. Every requests we made were attended well with gusto. The place is not just perfect for staying after touring the city but it is the perfect place to rest outside of the city where all you need is peace and quiet. It’s also tempting not to leave this place for meals as they have a good selection in their restaurant. Great to come back to Baler again and stay here.

We went to this resort for my birthday and at first, we had hard time searching for the resort. Baler has limited internet mobile connection which made it hard for us to find it Waze. Finally when I called Riza (receptionist) she told us the way to get there. I don't recommend using non SUV when going to the resort as it has rough road and deep holes.

We arrived 1pm and since check in time is 2pm they didn't allow us to get to our rooms even though we see vacant and our room (she said) was ready. We are a group of 7 adults and 3 kids, took 3 rooms but there wasn't any consideration given. I asked for at least 1 room so we can rest inside as it was super hot that day but, they are charging us for 250php an hour. Not a good experience but fine, we waited until 2pm to get in. The rooms are clean, it has 2 queen sized bed (deluxe) which is good for up to 4 people. Shower and toilet is separated, it has water heater but the pressure is low. Bath amenities are complete, towels are white and nicely kept.

There is an in house restaurant called Kahuna and they offer discounted plated breakfast. Although the selection was few, food is quite good. The price for their meal is 200 and above, some are overpriced. We ordered beer while we're having bonfire (bonfire costs 500php) but upon check out found out that we were charged for 25 php per bucket. What?! My niece also happen to order an extra salted egg, it was 65php. Food is not allowed which is okay but I hope they'll extend their food choices and make it more affordable since you've got no choice but to eat in their restaurant.

The hotel is not within the normal Sabang beach area, it was on the other side of the island so no other restaurants or resorts nearby. Overall, our stay was great. Other than the overpriced resto we have nothing to complain. Their staff are friendly and accommodating.

1. The room rate I booked is a Super Deluxe at 8,016 a night to which to my surprise does not include breakfast. The resort is secluded and there are no other options for their guests. They are marketing themselves as a boutique resort. Based on their website, the place was inspired by a resort in Bali which I am sure that that particular Bali resort have breakfast inclusion.

2. We arrived early around 8am from Manila to which I understand that early check in is subject to charges. We booked 2 rooms and the receptionist/owner gave us the first room to freshen up. After freshening up, we left the room for a city tour and requested housekeeping to lock it up since they cannot issue the key to us yet.
We arrived around 2:15, the receptionist/owner went to our van and said that there was a mishap and they are now transferring our stuff to the new room. We were shocked that they did this without our consent! When we stepped out of the van, the staff were already moving our things! This is a security and privacy breach! The owner's excuse was, "its in the rules which you signed, that we can move guest's belongings without the

I felt uneasy with these two concerns of mine and I felt the need to talk to higher management. Unfortunately, the person i'm dealing is already the "owner" and they just told me, "we're very sorry, we're not really in ths business of hotels".

My point is you are pricing yourself up there and of course, your guests are expecting value for money. Do not give us that excuse.

I super love this resort! I went here with friends to chill out for the long labor day weekend. It's a 20-minute drive from the hip and happening places in baler and that can be a good thing for those who prefer peace and quiet - like us! Of course, that means you'd have to bring a car if ever, but don't worry - they have free parking! Just watch out for falling coconuts though.

The Rooms: So lovely! They have such a clean, beachy kind of aesthetic. We got the super deluxe which has 2 queen beds so it's perfect for 4 sexy people. It also has a separate toilet and bath area so it's super efficient when one of you need to shower and the another friend needs to do their thing in the toilet.

The Amenities: They have everything - a pool that's kid-friendly because it's only 3 feet deep, the best surfing spot in baler all to yourself, an optional bonfire, relaxing lounge chairs leading up to the beachfront and by the beachfront itself, and a restaurant with good food.

The Staff: I swear, the mindfulness and consideration of their staff can outdo some of the best-known 5 star hotels in the world. They're really nice and courteous. They're also super mindful of their guests, starting with a thorough orientation of the t's and c's with a safety briefing before checking in down to the waiters knocking on each door just to remind guests that it's their last call for food. That last bit was quite impressive for me considering that (1) the place is far from civilization and there are no nearby restaurants in the area and (2) since some people may want a midnight snack, at least they're informed so they can still go and grab a snack elsewhere.

The Food: Yummy! Their pork salpicao is so delicious and has great value for money because at php250 or so, it's big enough to serve 2-3 people. My friends also loved 'the mountain' breakfast which was 'naked' longganisa with 2 eggs and rice. Unfortunately, one of my friends found a huge fried fly in his longganisa but the staff were kind enough to replace it with a fresh batch. I had 'the american' which is 2 pancakes with melted cheese (or chocolate, your choice) on top. It was ok, not pancake house quality but still not bad for only php80.

Overall, i would definitely recommend a stay in this resort. Make sure to bring a car and a decent internet connection with you though because this resort and its wifi may be hard to come by. But all that doesn't trump the lovely vibes, great accommodations and much-coveted serenity of l'sirene.
