The place is relly nice but the staff is not friendly... specially the receptionist on Uniform. I say that on Uniform because actually the staff the on call is actually really nice the one working at the day time. No hospitality. I never seen a Filipino workers without the smile on their faces in any hotel that I stayed. they look at you like you like not a guest or a person ..During Breakfast they can't even bring water or tissue kailangan mo pang e request... walang initiative at common sense ang mga staffs.. they always in their cellphones.worst services tlaga...sana naman mabasa to ng boss niyo para naman tanggalin na kayo...di kayo karapat-dapat sa trabaho na yan kung ayaw niyo.... suggest lang bosing mag CCTV kayo at nang makita niyo ang mga staff niyo... and the balcony off our room it looks like it never been cleaned ,I never experienced in any hotel here in the Philippines that they can't bring service in the room, while thier staff is really do do any thing g but standing in that hour, My friends and I feeling not welcome in this place. Very disappointed place. And you have bad Supervisor…
The staff were super accommodating... It was a surfers paradise... Breakfast and menu selections are good... The kids really enjoyed the warm pool... The deluxe rooms are the gold if you want personal space to unwind, relax and enjoy the view...
Unfortunately we stayed here over Holy Week and it is not the place to stay with children in the family Nipa Huts. The music and microphone pumped through our walls until 3am and then people were partying till 5a. Being right on the beach the locals swim with children from 5am so hence there was no sleep for two nights for our family!! The breakfast included is a Filipino breakfast so if you dont want garlic rice and dried up sausage forget about your free breakfast. The hot water system didnt work so no hot showers and we paid over $250AU a night!! When we had to change this accomodation due to the noise, we were denied a refund, I would not recommend this resort to travellers.
Accomodation: We had a Premier Nipa Hut (8 px.) reserved. It had 2 floors. The1st floor had 2 double beds while the 2nd Floor had 4 single beds. The only concern was it only has one bathroom. For 8 people sharing a bathroom you have to be a little patient. It was clean, neat and Ok. The view was very picturesque. The place is just by the beach front. Hands down 5/5. The best view of the beachfront is here IMO. We had a long walk and checked the neighboring Inns which we also saw on booking websites. We checked each one of them personally and compared it to our Inn. To be honest, the location and the view from Nalu was far better than the others. It was comparable to Costa Pacifica, and it's less crowded with a friendlier budget. Aesthetic wise, we chose the a worth it winner. We shared the entirety of Nalu with only a few number of tourists. It's not crowded and that is why we appreciated the place even more. But, during Fridays or Saturdays they have a DJ that plays music so expect those days to be a little crowded compared to days like wednesdays and thursdays. If you plan on going to baler, Surfing is a must. Nalu has it's own Surf Instructors and trust me they're entertaining and Friendly. With their help, I actually learned how to surf within an hour. They also have a photographer ready to snap and capture every moment. The Photographer is very good in timing. He knows the right angles and when to click. The images were awesome. Surfing; even just for an hour is really tiring so the free soda they provide after the surfing lesson is perfect. For only 350php it already covers the board rental, surfing lesson itself and the images. For that price you learned how to surf, you have awesome images, you were entertained and you have a free drink. Since we're 8 people we brought alot of food and there is no corkage fee, so we often went to thex resto & bar(sandbar) for the free breakfast. The Food and beverage employees were very still. The Service was unsatisfactory. The do not smile, and in some cases it felt like they were unsure of what they were doing. When I'm talking to them, I don't know if they're nervous or scared or what. If you plan on dining inside the resto, bring alot of patience. Foodwise (breakfast) they're delicious and presentable. I recommend their longganisa for breakfast. Chilling with a cocktail under the the shades by the garden during the night was very refreshing and relaxing. But, it's pay as you order which is underwhelming.. it actually made the experience a little cheap. But, the drinks were actually pretty good. Still, having those drinks made our night much better. Th Reservation Process: I would have to be honest to say that the process is a headache.. We had a Premier Nipa Hut reserved and paid for it advance and we received a confirmation but it was stated that for the date we paid for was no longer available. The lady on the phone cleared that it was a typographical error on their part. She apologized but it felt a bitter impression, but that impression faded when we saw the view from our place. Recommendations: If you plan to have your stay in Nalu, I recommend that you choose the Premier Nipa Hut No.1 because it has the best view. We'll not have the same experience if we did noy choose the Premier #1. It really makes a difference. Overall we had a pleasant stay and our visit in baler is very memorable. The beauty of the place orvershadowed it's few cons, and there is no Perfect Inn. For the price, our stay was really worth it. Overall it's a 4.5/5.…
First of all, the place is great!! Music is spot on!! But the food quality and service, ZERO STARS!! My son ordered his bacon burger expecting it would be a burger, but to our surprise, it was just bacon and eggs stuffed in a burger bun with mayo with NO PATTY?!? Apparently it didn’t really come with the patty, sucks right? They should have just said that its a sandwich and not a burger. Another thing our friend ordered the grilled pusit which to our surprise once again was the size of my son’s finger, that’s it!!! Third strike of the night was the “Fries Fries Fries” they have on their menu, it says “three kinds of potato fries topped with smoked cheddar” it was not available and none of the staff mentioned it was unavailable, so what they did was they served us the normal fries with no heads up and they expected us to pay for that poor ass service. We tried to talk to their manager or admin regarding this, but no one came out like they do not care at all. Overall nice place 10/10 but would not come back.…
The Deluxe Nipa rooms cost just under 10 000 php/night and are in a beautiful location right on the beach with a balcony overlooking the water. The food including the breakfast was delicious but about 80% of the menu items were unavailable for some reason and the coffee was Nescafe instant. The only other drinks available were Red Horse and Coke. The menu on their website is false with not even a San Miguel pilsen to be had. There was no room cleaning each day and we had to specifically ask for clean towels. They are currently building a surf school building which means loud construction noises.
We arrive at the Resort at 6am and of course we know room is still not available. Instead we had breakfast first and asked for as city tour. The receptionist helped us to get a tric which is really cheap actually. We return at around 4pm check in and rest for awhile. the following day I asked for a surfing lesson at the reception the price is very affordable and it comes with beer😊. all staff are very friendly and helpful will greet you once they see you and all are smiling when you approach them. Thank You Nalu Surf for this wonderful and awesome stay.. Will surely visit you guys again 👍👍 Ritz Tan
In July, we went to Baler for a week and stayed in one of our relatives' house. But after a few days, we decided to just book a hotel on the beach front because we would like to go surfing. Since we already had our surfing lesson with Nalu Surf Camp a few days back and we were very happy about it and we usually went to Nalu Surf Camp for snacks almost everyday so, we decided to just book with them. Also, I stayed in Nalu Surf Camp in July 2017 in Ifugao AC room and my stay was really good. I also like Nalu Surf Camp's food cause it's deli and affordable. We arrived at 2 AM at Nalu Surf Camp. We asked the receptionist for different rates and my boyfriend checked some rooms. Since my boyfriend doesn't like the bathroom outside of the rooms because of bugs, he asked if we could book the room at the beachfront which costs 7,000.00 pesos each night (good for a family). We were trying to book for 4 nights but the receptionist said he doesn't know if the room is available for 4 nights because there's no way for him to check. Instead we asked if we could check in in Ifugao Room with AC and transfer the next day so he can check if the 7,000.00 pesos room is available by the next day and if we could check out late because by the time we'll check in is already at 4 AM and the check out time is 12 Noon. That's paying for 1 night for 8 hours of stay only. But the receptionist said there's no late checkout and we have to pay each hour that we stay longer which is RIDICULOUS because I was able to check out at 2 PM before. Oh and we've been to other more expensive hotels and they can accommodate late checkout! We did not get any sort of offer from the receptionist. He only apologized and explained that he is new. Well, you don't just assign someone at the reception area with no training! Good thing we found a good deal online for Costa Pacifica and our first night was free! Every year I go to Baler and I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna go back to Nalu Surf Camp :(…
Nalu surf camp is clean and affordable, all the staff are friendly and accomodating, they have. Good ambience and a beautiful landscape.we really enjoyed our stay there they offer surfing lrssons at an affordable price their instructors are very good.
The place is easy to find. Serene and really beautiful. Fine black sand, clean (no rocks) shore line and beach. Nice room, as well as the beds. I liked that they have fleece blanket. A/C is strong. Bathroom with complete toiletries, strong water pressure also. Food is just okay. Menu is limited but for me its just enough to choose from. Many restaurant outside of the camp also. Staff were friendly and courteous, most of them. Except their restaurant staff. Needs re-training. Saturday morning, During the "buffet" breakfast they were panicking. Once we stepped into the restaurant they were saying (in a louder tone but not to the point of shouting) "self service" and a bit grouchy. Since guests were full inside the restaurant our Dad gave the stubs to the staff and went to find empty tables outside facing the beach side (nicer view though). So we lined up and when it was our turn to get some food, the lady asks us "asan stub niyo" (again grouchy voice). I told her that our stub were given by that guy in the orange shirt and point to our dad. I asked if we can get some food since we were lined up already and to follow the stub later. She looked at us and we were not allowed to get food, since some guests are lined up, our group stepped out of the line and I went to our dad to assists us. He told them that I gave it to you already point to one of the staff, and told her our room number. She stared at us and point to the food, hand signalling of "go ahead". All the kitchen utensils were wet, straight from the dishes actually. We asked if we can have some tissue to dry it out and they point out over there. That door is near the kitchen so we went over there get some tissue and the staff carrying the mugs splashed the remaining water in our feet. We reacted "hey, ate nabasa mo kame" she just went on (maybe because she is just in a hurry). They looked like they were all panicking and a bit chaotic. Friday night, we went to the bar at the second floor of the restaurant. They were having acoustic night band, it was nice upstairs and we enjoyed our meal. However, the staff follows the rule of "Pay as you order". Literally as "pay after you order". So whenever we order we pay after. We stayed in that bar for 3 hours, since we were also drinking and enjoying the acoustic band. So it was a bit inconvenient in our part to order then pay, then order and pay, order pay and order pay. Sunday morning we went to buy brewed coffee, we paid and while waiting we asked if we can go to the roof deck to get some photo. I told them that since we were leaving already we will be back after a minute. They said yes we went up, took some photos and hurried back down stairs. While walking down the stairs we overheard the lady asking her co worker "nasan na ba yung nag order ng kape tagal tagal naman nun" in a irritated voice. I answered, that's us. Her co worker told her "lagot ka kay Ma'am pala yan, narinig ka ni Ma'am". I told her we were in a hurry also since we were checked out already and just buying coffee to transfer in our mugs. I over heard one of the guests, when we were checking in, that she asked one of the staff when she's buying fruit shake if she is angry. I never knew, that we will experienced it also. After all we are the guests and we are the ones adjusting to their behaviours.. Anyway, they need retraining... specially when we knew that the owner, is very accommodating and warm during our telephone inquiries. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back, here in Nalu, we learned how to surf and we liked it. Nalu is one of the best place in Baler. …
