Detailed Reviews
My wife, my 4 year old son and I stayed at this resort for several nights. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again but I would like to go e the pros and cons so other customers are aware:
PROS:
- Beautiful resort with beautiful surroundings.
- Friendly and helpful staff and owner.
- Accommodation was good and decent quality.
- Good onsite restaurant.
Cons:
- The owner very sadly blocks reviews from Agoda that are not 100%/5 star reviews so customers never get a true account of the resort or its true rating. We booked our stay there through Agoda and Agoda confirmed this to me. Disappointingly dishonest of them to do that!
- Although right on the sea, it is very difficult to swim/snorkel there as there has been damage from the last typhoon and the steps down to the sea have been destroyed and other damage is very noticeable. This could be improved by some building work.
- The staff at the restaurant are a bit slow and they need retraining on how to serve food. Our family meals were spoiled by us being served our meals half an hour after one another most nights.
- It's 2022, they have no option to pay by credit card and we had to spend an afternoon going to 4 different ATM's on the island before finding one that worked so we could pay our food and drinks bill before checking out. They really need to make credit card payments an option for guests to make their experience easier and hassle free.
- Lastly, they really need to sort the road/track out that leads to the resort. It's a terrible bumpy potholed dirt track that can be pretty dangerous in the wet. My wife is pregnant and this was dangerous for her.

Response from Silan Hong, Owner at Azure Camotes Resort Hotel
Responded Aug 10, 2024
Hi, thank you so much for your honest review. My sincere apology to what you had experience with the previous management, as of the moment we are under a new management and we will make it sure that things like this wont happen again. This place was devastated with the typhoon before the time you had been here, that was the primary reason why the place was a bit outcast. As of today we are trying to fix things to make this place suitable to the guest. You should visit us here once again... Thanks and God Bless

Quel dommage
