Stayed here with family during Holy Week and the manager, Al Luchavez really took care of us. He accommodated us by moving us to a bigger room when one was available, he recommended that we try the native chocolate (which was delicious), when we saw him in the restaurant and we saw him everyday interacting with staff and other guests, he made sure his entire staff helped us with whatever we needed, and he allowed us to reserve a space on the “sunset bar” to throw a small birthday party!
The grounds are constantly attended to. Every single one of the staff are very helpful and seem very genuine with providing outstanding service. I’ve been treated better here than in high end hotels in San Francisco, California.
For being in a pretty remote location, the wifi is strong in the Bamboo restaurant, you receive complimentary access to the sister resort next door (Mangodlong Rock Resort), you have access to two private beaches and a HUGE pool. There’s a small souvenir store across the road where they offer laundry service and there’s a scooter rental too.
Our experience here was so great that we’ve decided to come back next year. Thank you, Al and staff!

Nice location, pool was cloudy and had lots of flies in it. The room was nice and bed comfortable too. Room not cleaned for 6 days, no towels renewed, had to ask for toilet paper and the water was only replenish on two occasions after asking for it. I gave up on day 2 and bought my own from the shop. The price of this hotel in the Philippines is no small change and the service was poor. Great staff in the restaurant and the food good too. Pool and some areas are in need of a refurb.

Upon arriving we were transported to an absolutely luxurious and unique setting. We snorkeled on both white sand beaches, and enjoyed the pool for hours with our youngsters.
We rented two separate rooms. Occasionally, problems in the hospitality business are inevitable. This properties' staff were quick to respond and remedy a problem. Our AC broke (at 1am) and Jae-Marie (manager) called in 3-men to totally replace the unit. They accomplished the task in less than 20-minutes! Jae-Marie always had a smile and friendly greeting. She was also quick to help us to explore locations and gave us a map. We went to visit several caves we would never have found without her help. We also took her recommendation and visited a lake and Zip-line.
The GM was also exceptional! We had brought specially marinated meat for our family. He had the head chef cook it up and the creativity in plating and garnishes were 5-star! The free breakfast buffet was delicious too.
Al (GM) has decades of hotel experience and he runs a tight ship. He has assembled an amazing crew, we spoke often while enjoying the very fine dinning. He has managed some of the biggest hotels in Cebu, many of which we have stayed in over the past 20 years.
We enjoyed the 2 for 1 drink / happy hour each day, along with chess, billiards and karaoke. "Kia" and "Ford" were great in the restaurant too! They aren't cars, they are real employees...LOL
Papa wandered off one day and the parking security guard went searching. Papa was found several houses up the road singing karaoke with a family he just met. All the staff treated us like family.
The only negative was booking for just 3-nights. When we return we will book a week!!!
This hotel was the high lite in our 30-day PH trip!

Pros: The environment was very peaceful especially during the night. The ambience was calming & relaxing and the rooms are spacious. Their restaurant had a sufficient amount of choices except they only have halo2x for dessert good thing the staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Cons: I have not been informed that our room is on the 2nd floor and isolated when there were available rooms facing the pool in a cheaper price. The shower was not working well and rusty, I had to go down all the way to the reception to complain as there was no telephone at all in the room. Our room was not well-prepared, there were no towels and toiletries as well as rugs to dry our feet from the shower room. The TV was outdated, it seemed like we were watching from a pirated dvd with the picture quality. The staff needs more training especially with serving food in the restaurant considering that their food is quite pricey. They won’t serve or offer you water and table napkin unless you ask them.
In general, camotes is a very nice place but travelling there is time consuming. There’s only one time a slot per day in travelling to the island and going back to Ormco City. The boat from ormoc leaves at 1PM and arrives in Bokok later than 4PM, your day has been wasted. Also, when going back to Ormoc the trip is ridiculously early around 6AM.

The food and drinks were good, and the view was amazing. However, our experience in the dining area was not good. The line of cooks was unprofessional and not disciplined. They were loud while preparing food and discussed personal things in the dining area. We didn't feel safe during our stay because the resort didn´t protect us from bullying and harassment from the nearby resort and internal staff. The workers here are ungrateful and they don´t deserve their jobs.
I recommend not coming to this resort because the staff are unprofessional and need further discipline training. At least the beach resort was okay.

Staff were very accommodating from booking up until drop off at Concsuelo port. They were very receptive to our queries via chat for pick up, drop off, Camotes tours and boat booking. Staff and waiters were also accommodating while we were there.
Special shout out to Shy of Bamboo restaurant who went out of her way to serve us food that was not on the menu. :)

A really great hotel, friendly service at a lovely location with beautiful gardens and excellent food. We took the ferry from Mactan Cebu which takes only 90 minutes and the hotel picked up from the pier and brought us straight to the hotel which only takes 10-15 minutes.
The rooms are nice with hot water, comfortable bed and nice veranda.
We had a great time and will definitely return.

The place is simply great! From the arrival, shuttle is waiting from the port to bring you to the resort. It's a 10-minute journey, very good location. The place is clean, and quiet (we stayed during weekdays), perfect for unwinding. You can rent a motorcycle just in front of the hotel to drive around the Island at a very good rate. The food and drinks tastes great with an excellent presentation. Rachelle from reception and kuya Judy from Bamboo cafe are quite attentive to every request. Thank you for making our stay worth it. We'll definitely come back!

Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. They went above and beyond making our stay enjoyable. They also helped by getting our rented scooter running by picking up a new battery from the store and installing it for us. Much appreciated. Restaurant staff: Jesse, Clifford and the team were excellent. We loved our Paradise Villa suite with ocean view. Thank you guys for 9 days of feeling spoiled by you :-)
