At first I stayed in another Hotel because it was cheaper, my room did not feel very safe.
So i moved to the Molave, where it felt much safer and had more secuity & better rooms.
Don't be like me and ask for the cheapest room on the ground floor, with only one free a day breakfast & only a cold water shower, it is better to ask for the best on the 2nd foor. Ask for SUPERIOR ROOM at 990p or $22.50 a night you can't go wrong, with 2 Free breakfasts each morning and a Hot water shower. There is A/C in every room at the Molave and Cable TV, but to get an Internet signal you need to be on the 2nd floor.
Bring a Philippines power adapter plug and a power board because of limited plugs.

This Hotel has everything you need or want, ask for the best quiet room "A1"at 1,200 peso a night (about $25 AU) and get 2 free breakfasts every morning in the Hotels Resturant
or just ask for room service.
You can stay in the cool of your room all day with Free Cable TV and Free Wifi,
plus have a warm shower together at anytime without leaving your room.
The Hotel has great Security and a Backup Generator, which is a must with the local power grid, just bring a Philippines adapter and a power board since there are only 1 double power outlets. The local tap water doesn't taste nice so there is a machine just outside your room supplying cold drinking water or hot water for tea and coffee.
Staff are on hand to clean your room at anytime and are very helpfull.
Molave can even handle every part of your Wedding Day, clothes, makeup, photo's,
cars to and from the Church and even the after party with food, drinks and music,
they did it all for our Wedding in 2011, no stress.
Wines and Hard Liquor are available from the Resturant.
Resturant open 6.30am to 11pm

This hotel is not a five star but again- its not 5k per night either. I'm from the U.S. and traveled most of the 48 cont states. This hotel for service and quality of food in the restaurant is the best I've had! I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for the best deal on price, service, security, and meals all in one location. And its only a short ride to the malls. I also recommend their second and newer hotel the Herobenhometel on Osmena extension. Walter

This used to be the only Hotel in town. Many others have come up in Tagum but I keep on coming back here. Good value for money.
Its an old building but well maintained and good food. Expect a bit complications in negotiations. If you need special arrangements for a business meeting etc. you hear often "our policy is...." and then the weirdest explanations come. But staff is friendly and warmhearted and truly care and a solution is always at hand.
Made a negative experience but its not the hotels fault. Asked for a referral for a car rent which they arranged. The driver was irresponsible, bringing his child along to sleep on his lap, leaning on the steering wheel while driving.

Upon entering the room you will be welcomed with attentive staff. The hotel has its rustic ambiance. It has free breakfast, so so. Not walking distance to malls and other establishments. I would prefer somewhere else.

We used to have our testimonial party here in this hotel whenever colleague is due to retire. Nice grand hall to accommodate large group.

We had our civil wedding and reception also held here. Very spacious and comfortable.

Its a budget hotel, basic amenities - aircon, clean room, cable tv, if Jr suite with hot n cold water, wifi in the lobby ( but the 1st flr rooms have). What I like about it? Its the friendly and very warm n accommodating service.

We were able to stay there for a week during the 2015 palarong pambansa. If you are looking for a basic and budget hotel, this would be the place. Its the oldest hotel but their service is good

Accessibility? Its near restaurants and mall. And walking distance from their night market, banks, drug stores..its in between the municipality of Carmen, panabo, new corella.

It has a coffee shop, and it serves good food... Their sinuglaw is delicious as well as their kare kare. Price is also budget friendly.

So for budget friendly travellers who is looking for basic accommodation - you can check it out.
