Clean comfortable rustic rooms. Beautiful grounds. Beds were fairly comfortable. Highlight of the location was the on ite resturant. Great dinner there and i was so full from dinner, my wife went to a great breakfast without me. one drawback was the entire staff while we were there was only Spanish speaking...both at reception and the resturant. easy enough to make do with hand signals and my pidgeon Spanish, but just a heads up. Very nice though.

Reasonably priced, casual, friendly, low key hotel, great for a stop when traveling in the area. Ingrid the manager is terrific. The restaurant on site is top notch and a pleasant surprise at a small hotel. Try the sopa de camarones, fantastic and enough for two.

Local hospitality. The rooms are dated but clean. Can have a hot shower. Good air conditioning. Room was quite. No chairs or table in the room. No chairs for sitting out your door and no fridge. There is a pool. The price is right and the free breakfast is very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

why doesn't the guapiles-sarapiqui area not get more attention? its one of the best parts of costa rica with forest mountains and beaches not far. it really has the best of everything and Sun Sun is right in the center of it all. rustic bungalow style but attached rooms are spacious and private. lush landscaping feels like your in the national park. guide made for a great day hiking up the mountain very knowledgable i learned more about birds than any other day in my life all with spectacular views. great value and nice folks. you'll be glad you went. I'm glad not many people know about this place - more for me all to myself.

Looking for a nice place to pull over to switch drivers on our way to La Fortuna we saw a nice landscaped entrance of a lodge. After stopping we decided to drive back and check out the restaurant. They weren't open yet but took us in early. The food was great and they were extremely friendly, Worth the stop for dinning.
