The finca is a 5 minute drive outside the town of Aracena. It is a perfect spot to disconnect for a while. The rooms are just like you see in the photos. Very homely and nice an warm. The staff were very helpful and you are given a pack to prepare your own breakfast in the morning. Everything is very clean and the water pressure for showers is great, only slight complaint is that the showerhead is low so a person over 6ft has to crouch a little. Would highly recommend

We could only stay for one night because we were travelling from Huelva to Calais, and we chose this hotel because it allows dogs. I wish we could have stayed longer because it is so lovely and in a stunning location. The owner even brought us a bottle of wine as it was late and nowhere was open - what a guy!! Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Finca La Media Legua. Once again we were highly impressed by the hospitality, the comfort and beauty of the place. Surrounded by chestnut trees, two hikes just outside your doorstep is a perfect getaway for those who admire nature. The apartments are really warm with their own log fire which was prepared for our arrival. We weren't charged for extra logs which was a nice gesture on their behalf. Highly recommended. The food around the area in nearby towns is delicious. Looking forward to going again next year.

Nice, large and clean room with terrace. Calm location, you can do nice walks from the finca. Breakfast is provided, basic but good. Each room has a small kitchen with eveything you need. Beautiful garden with swimming pool, very relaxing. Very nice owners!

In my notes there was the following - Logs, noise, great kitchen, loved the fire. I will cover these in this review. Firstly, we loved sitting out on the south facing terrace in the evening sun before going inside to the log fire. The log fire was a nice touch and needed because it got cold at night in late April. I am not sure that their approach was correct. There was a sign saying that if you wanted more logs, 25kgs of logs would cost 8 Euros. The stove was full of logs when we arrived so if we had stayed for one night we could have burnt the lot, but if we had stayed for two days or more we would need more logs. We made do with what we had by foraging and only used the stove on 3 nights. There is so much to do in the area. We stayed for 4 days and saw lots. Walking was also very nice in the beautiful spring countryside. Some people had complained about noise from the road. We could hear it when sitting outside on the terrace – it was quite loud as trucks thundered by, however we did not hear the road noise in the bedroom. We had no complaints about the bedroom, bathroom of the kitchen. The large basket of bread, jams, coffee for breakfast was very welcome. The owners were very pleasant. Though the apartment was nice, I am not sure that it was great value for money, particularly the last night which cost 97 Euros. Finding the apartments and driving in and out is a little bit of a problem. Driving into and out of the lane where the apartments are located can only be done from one direction – into the apartments from the Aracena side. Look out for a tourist accommodation sign then a big wheelie bin just outside the entrance road. When leaving the apartments one has to turn right and head in the direction Los Marines and only then are you able to cross the road to head back to Aracena. Stock up with provisions in Mercadona at the roundabout on the entry into Aracena from the west. Visit the amazing caves and the castle in Aracena, the Rio Tinto mine and train, Cortegana and Alajara

We stayed for two nights and found it a very good base to visit Aracena, our accommodation was very clean and cosy, we had our very own log burner! There was everything we needed, except a kettle! Beds were also very comfortable, I would say that the twin rooms were more roomy. Big bathrooms with a lovely big bath The owners were on site and were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all a very nice stay and would definitely stay again. The area is brilliant for walking and a must is to visit the Grotto, unbelievable!!

Room Tip: We found the double bed a bit small and chose to have a twin room which was much better.

We stayed only one night at this cosy place. It is really nice. The finca is a bit difficult to find, especially if you are coming from Carretera (if you see the 91 km milestone you went already too far). We had a nice two bedroom apartment. In the living room (unfortunately a bit dark) there is a fireplace which has been fully prepared for us. The kitchen enables you prepare some snacks. For the breakfast they provide you some standard food and you can than prepare it at your convenience. The finca is located in the forest and you can start right away your walk (e.g. To Aracena 1h20min).

This is a small cozy hotel. It is located in the forest, but very close to the road. Unfortunately, we heard the noise of cars off the road. And that was the only drawback of this hotel. The apartment has a good equipped kitchen. In the courtyard of the hotel with barbecue facilities. All rooms have a nice view of the forest around. The beds have good linen. But double bed can fit only two not very large people. Very nice and pleasant staff. Mersedess, thank you for having told us that everything around and gave us the right direction!

We stayed for a couple of days. The hotel is located outside the village so silence and peace is guaranteed. In less than five minutes you can get to Aracena where you can find anything you might need. The apartment was very clean and considering that two members of our family are allergic to dust and nobody sneezed not even once, it's the living proof that it was all perfect. The water pressure in the shower was very good. Much better than the average, so it was another possitive point. The only thing we didn't like much was that since we were surrounded by mountains, the tv signal was not very good. But that was not that important because they had cards and a boardgame to have some good quality time together.
