My wife and I have visited Hotel Anna several times during the past few years. From our very first visit we knew that we had found a very special hotel. We really cannot find any aspect of the hotel which is lacking. The owners are perfectionists an attitude followed by all of the friendly staff. The hotel is immaculate and the food superb. We checked in as guests and left as friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff and owner were warm and welcoming! The food in the restaurant was freshly prepared and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the heated pool and the steam room as well. Beautifully situated. If you want to be pampered, then try this hotel.

From the moment we were welcomed by the owner we knew we were going to enjoy our stay at the Hotel Anna, and we were not disappointed. Everything about this hotel is perfect, from the airy rooms with fresh fruit & flowers to the warm cosy restaurant. The breakfast was traditional German buffet style and evening meal was exceptional value for money and the quality more than we could have expected. The thermal bath in the hotel was so good with very good facilities we didn't even visit Cassioppi Therm in the village. We will definitely return to this hotel.

After being there once, in March, we had to go back again, and again... The hotel is perfect! We had a big, lovely, light room, just few steps away from the thermal pool (which we enjoyed a lot). The restaurant is cosy and very romantic and the food is absolutelly delicious!! Tasty, variate and enough! But the best part is that the owners take care about the quests wishes and try to make you feel really welcomed there (ex. my husband eats without gluten and lactose, we've told them this and they cooked for him according to our request). We totally recomment this place, not just for the best hotel, but for the lovely surroudings which you can trully appreciate only when you're there!

this is an excellent hotel and very well located for day trips to Alsace wine region, black forest region and Switzerland. Great value with spacious rooms and indoor heated pool / spa facility. Bed comfortable, larger bathroom, plenty of room to unpack. Onsite parking. Generous hot and cold breakfast and evening meals available for very modest price. Great selection of food and good wine list. Probably more suited to mature travellers. Located in lovely "thermal" village surrounded by parklands and forest. Very friendly hosts and extremely good value.

driving into this hilly town was great and finding Ana was perfect. Nice balcony view, great thermal pool with views was extra nice feature. staff was all friendly and owner ladies were both great and accommodating. Short few block walk uphill to the Therme spa was quite an adventure. We love Ana and the village, all so beautiful, old castle is a nice park hike.

Deep in the back forest, yet close enough to Basel and Colmar to take a day trip, Hotel Anna is a well priced, well run and certainly great place to stay for a week or two. It is walking distance from the main street in Badenweiler and to local convenience stores. We enjoyed a great week at the hotel using its indoor heated pool (with a great view of the surrounding mountains) and other facilities. Each day started with a magnificent breakfast buffet as well as hot orders direct form the kitchen - my favourite; scrambled eggs with salmon and herbs! The dinner menu was varied with great traditional food and they also had an alternative dish in cash of restricted diets. The wine list was well curated however I mainly had the regional red wine which was reasonably priced. Free internet was available with quite reasonable performance. I would happily stay there should I be in that part of Germany again. A word of caution, if you are driving there, plan your route to use the longer (but timesaving) autobahn route from Karlsruhe or Basel, instead of the local mountain roads as some are under repair and this delayed us significantly in reaching Badeweiler.

We stayed at Anna's for 5 nights in March and the hotel really overdelivered and exceeded our expectations. Anna keeps its promise of a 4 star hotel, it is extremely clean, much cleaner than what one understands by clean in a hotel, very nicely positioned in a quiet area at one end of the city but within walking distance (5min) to the main park, the Roman therms and the center. The swimming pool is nice, with pleasant, warmer water (32 C),there is a Caldarium/Steambath Sauna, a fitness space and Winter Garden to relax. The massage was really good and not so expensive. What I really liked was the fact that the two sisters running the hotel as the 3rd generation give it a very personal touch: they greet you by name from the first day, they accommodate every wish, they make recommandations for trips in the area, etc. There is a structured weekly programm, which I found very nice, where the hotel organizes either a trip to a sightseeing, or a guided tour of the nearby park, a group discussion about reading in general, or a wine tasting of the Gutedel wine which is traditional for the region. Badenweiler is also nicely positioned, between Schwarz Wald and Markgräflerland,a German Toscana. We are able to visit Alsace in France, as well as some other middle age city gems, a monastery and some mountain peaks (Belchen, Blauen). Last but definitely not least, our 15 months old baby has been warmly welcomed, with baby chair, food warming in the kitschen and friendly smiles at all times, even if the crowds there are rather older

Our family (2 adults and 2 children, 6 and 9 years old) stayed for 5 nights in October at Hotel Anna. We had a large room with wonderful view of the Black Forest, it had plenty of space for 4 people. The staff was very service minded, providing special bath robes in good sizes for the children and making sure the children also felt welcome. Breakfast is made of local food and includes everything from yoghurt, müsli, bread and also egg/omelett made upon request. The location is very close to the main attraction Cassiopeia Therme Spa and the hotel itself also has a thermal pool and steam sauna, which was appreciated. Just outside the hotel is a beautiful park called "Park der Sinne", with visual and auditorial experimental set up among common children activities. The closest airport is in Basel-Mulhouse, although an alternative is to fly to Frankfurt and take the train or rent a car (2,5 hours away) through autobahn.
