You can see this hotel was once luxurious but wear n tear and a lack of maintenance has relegated the luxurious aspect. Staff are superb and very polite and helpful. They really do not bother you at all but are always around when you need them.
The viewing decks are very comfortable and offer amazing scenic views and the budist style decor and garden are really nice for the perfect romantic picture setting.
There is no in house restaurant and only water, tea, coffee is on offer but free. A bar would be most delightful.
There are restaurants nearby but wall ng the busy road at night is rather risky so best take the car.
I don't think we will return, certainly not if they do not refurb the place as it will only deteriorate further. But a huge thank you to the lovely staff for accommodating us, we did enjoy our stay in Tagaytay.

We stayed recently and I’ll list here the pros and cons

Pros:
Super friendly / helpful staff - THIS made our stay better
Awesome view from the deck and infinity pool
Instagrammable deck, view, main area, and bed
Heavy but super plush pillows
Keyless door (we used a tap card)
There are a handful of nearby restaurants
Away from the busy streets of Tagaytay
Reserved parking slots for overnight guests
Perfect weather
Great decor

Cons:
Cobwebs in the shower area
The toiletries were not checked and obviously not cleaned prior to us arriving - there was a used mini toothpaste under the washroom cup
When the bathroom steamed up, we saw how dirty the bathroom mirror was
Lights are too dim in the bathroom and room
No room mini fridge (with the price, it was expected)
Crappy cable TV - basic selection of channels
No in-house restaurant and no stock of drinks (beer or soda) but the staff can ask the guard to buy for you outside
No room phone. There is a bell that the staff also knows that they won’t hear. They gave their ‘butler’s’ phone number though so we can just text him

We’d love to stay here again BUT we’ll probably check the latest reviews first before booking a room. Though we enjoyed the weekend, the rate it too pricey for what they have. It’s like an expensive AIRBNB with super friendly and accommodating staff :)

We stayed at this hotel (Kanchanaburi room) last weekend for our wedding anniversary. Location is very accessible and just an hour and a half drive from Manila. A bit hesitant at first (due to covid outbreak)but we still decided to push through with this booking and I am very glad that we did.

PROs:
- [ ] Friendly staffs ( check in and out were very fast and smooth as I guessed we were the only guests that time)
- [ ] Kind guard (always willing to assist during parking and going out of the hotel. One minus point though is that when we asked him the way to Sonya's Garden, he pointed us to the opposite direction. We won't be mad anyway has he told us he did not know it.)
- [ ] Breathtaking Taal view. I guess this is one of the reasons why the hotel price is on the expensive side. Super nice view of Taal by the pool which we maximized during our 2D1N night stay.
- [ ] Delectable and yummy breakfast. I so looove their breakfast spread. You can choose between Filipino and continental food.
- [ ] Exclusivity and romantic feels. Hotel has only 7 rooms hence you really feel the privacy when you decided to stay here.
- [ ] Welcoming and Friendly hotel vibe. Everyone greets you upon arrival. They even prepared a "Happy Anniversary" banner with flowers design in our room which is really nice. Welcome drinks await you upon check in.

CONs:
- [ ] Garden/pathway does not look well-maintained.
- [ ] Bedsheet/comforter from our room has dark stains.
- [ ] Drainage from the shower area is clogged. Took time for us to finish taking a bath bacause we had to wait for it to drain before trying to shower again.
- [ ] No in-house restaurant. Not much of a negative for me since Tagaytay has a lot of nearby restaurants. It is very well compensated with the yummy breakfast spread that they served us during our stay.
- [ ] Minimal amenities. There is a billiard(?) table and a pool. I suggest to add more amenities to attract more guests.
- [ ] Door lock and key are very hard to use. Took us time to get the key after locking our own room. They should use key cards onstead.
- [ ] Hotel is located in the highway hence all the car's noise can be heard. If you are not a heavy sleeper then this hotel is not for you. As for our case, we did not mind since the view is what we were after.
- [ ] Too expensive for the stay. We paid 7500 PHP (around 150 USD) as we availed their fully vaccinated promo. Original price starts at 200 USD. Should they made it around 5k per stay then I think price is fair.

Overall experience is awesome except for those negative points. We will surely visit again should they have another promo for customers :)

1. Location- it’s right by the national road so expect it to be NOISY! The house is not sound proof and when you open the window on the 2nd floor electric post and electric wires will say Hi to you! You won’t be able to sleep well at night coz of cars and you will definitely wakeup early coz of the noise again!

2. Staff- Nice BUT lack of training! Butler doesn’t even know how to open the cork of wine! Hubby has to teach him!

3. Some ROOMs has NO Windows because the back wall is like an arms length away from the perimeter wall! Be careful they wont tell you good thing i read here at TA! We moved to Chiang Mai rm on the 2nd flr which is more expensive with floor to ceiling glass window and balcony which is nice but again NOT Worth the price! Toilet bowl was leaking so imagine the bathroom floor is wet the whole time! Shower gel is empty maybe they haven’t check it before we checked-in? Imagine i was taking a bath already and just realized i have no soap to use!!

4. NOT YOUR “REAL LUXURY” hotel as what the name suggest! Lower your expectation it’s just like an Airbnb! Beds are like China-made that you wouldn’t want to sleep there the whole time! No cabinets to hang your clothes only drawers from the TV stand. No mini ref( which is fine you could ask them to chill your wine if you have one from their kitchen) No telephone only a bell to ring for your butler until 10pm, which worries me though coz i have no idea whom to call at the middle of the night if there’s an emergency? Coz nobody is there except for the security guard on duty..

5. Pros: The openness of the veranda esp on the ground floor is perfect to hang out and spend quality time with your family facing Taal and all the greens (again if you don’t mind the noise of the cars). The interior is Balinese themed, living area with day beds are perfect too. The infinity pool has perfect view as well but be careful on the steps it has sharp edges my son cut his knee..

6. Food: they have no cafe so you have to go out for dinner which is fine as Antonio’s breakfast and Twin Lakes are nearby. Breakfast—- Free breakfast and their Filipino food is okay with good presentation EXCEPT for the COFFEE!! Coffee is instant coffee so we asked for brewed coffee the waitress said we could order but with extra charges which we agreed then here comes our brewed coffee and it’s watered down! Yikes! We have to ask her again to change it! A supposedly “LUXURY” hotel but cannot even provide a decent coffee? And wait the free juice is too sweet because it’s TANG!

Overall i wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for a PEACE and QUIET place. Ms Ebeth the GM is really nice though. And the PRICE is not worth it! So don’t book unless it’s 50% off! This place is perfect if they could sound proof the rooms so guest could sleep well at night. And if they could train their staff well. We checked-out early as we are really disappointed!

Stayed overnight with family last April 7,2018.

We booked two rooms and requested for an early check-in. Granted that the rooms are not available since it is subject to availability, I was expecting for the front desk officer to let us in and wait at the restaurant area where we can stay and relax while we wait for the rooms to be available. We were told that we cannot go inside and use the facility until 2pm. We asked the front desk officer if they are fully booked that's why they do not allow anyone to come in yet. Without batting an eyelash, she said yes. We requested to see the manager and she only came to see us after we insisted. She apologized and said she misunderstood her front desk officer, thinking we were insisting to get our rooms Asap. We said we did not want to get the rooms right away but we expect them to at least let us wait and use the facility. We did inform her that there was a request for an early check-in and we did not mind getting charged for it. She apologized and let us go inside the hotel while we wait. Lo and behold, all rooms were available. The front desk officer lied to us. The manager eventually let us do an early check-in.

Another poor customer experience is that we were served spoiled milk for breakfast. We gave the feedback to the manager and she was apologetic.

The hotel is really nice with a great view. It has a lot of potential. They just all need to be properly trained.

We suggest that they also offer brewed coffee instead of instant coffee. For their room rates, I think the customers at least deserve some decent coffee.

They will not treat you warmly! When your time is up you have to get up and leave! Rude and very unwelcoming. Bad service, bad hospitality, no parking at the premises, no food, noisy location due to the location being along the highway. Stay at your own risk!

I came across this property as I was looking for a place to spend my boyfriend and I's anniversary. I was eyeing on booking at Discovery Country Suites or The Inn at Cliffhouse, both properties are very expensive and has a lot f very good reviews and I chose this property. Let me tell you why.

Let's start off with our experience upon arrival. The security at that time, Sir Ruben greeted us with a warm smile and he happened to address me by my name. We were assisted to the Front Desk immediately for check in, it was a smooth process. We were then led to the main gate, in which there's a ceremony when guests are about to enter for the first time. The gong was hit 3 times. Upon entering, we were welcomed by the staff with a refreshing lemongrass calamansi drink and banana bread. We were personally escorted to our room and when we got there, we were so amazed at how beautiful the place is and most especially the breathtaking view we will get to see in our balcony.

Below are the pros and cons we have in mind:

Pros
- Façade and Theme: Everything is Thai inspired, the rooms are named after cities in the country as well. The design is very elegant and not your typical specialty suite.
- Location: Perfect place with a breathtaking view and is accessible via public transportation that’s along the highway. It is a peaceful place that you would want to stay there forever.
- Food: Dinner and breakfast is not the buffet style but definitely one of the best ones ever. For breakfast, you have an option to take Western or Filipino breakfast. It was served on the second floor overlooking the Taal Volcano
- Facilities: They can cater to events in which they have a separate area. The infinity pool is overlooking the Taal Volcano which is perfect for those who want to spend some quiet time. They also have this billiard like game at the terrace part of the property.
- Room: We booked one of their specialty rooms that is Chiang Mai, it’s located at the second floor which has a balcony. Room is spacious and has a beautiful interior.
- Staff: Kudos to Sir Ruben of Security and to Fatima for being so attentive to all our needs. She assisted us during dinner, I asked for a wine bucket and she offered to lend me a wine glass. I like the way how she anticipate her guest’s needs and is always checking if we need anything.

Cons
- The property doesn’t have a lift. It would be a bit hard for others if they’re booked at the second floor.
- Some of the staff lacks guest contact. They should have atleast time to mingle with guests since what they offer is like a butler that is a personalize service.

Overall, this will definitely be our go-to-place in Tagaytay!

What do you expect from a new hotel that has experience and is operating in many locations already? You simply expect perfection and a really damn good time no matter what the price. Well, not here. Many things weird in my experience from this place. Lets start.

FIRST OF ALL, all booking sites said this place is fully booked. Not. Ok i understand that part, but their website says it is too. Ok, now lets try calling them, behold, they are not fully booked and four out of seven rooms are still available. How did that happen if we are to stay the next day already? The hotel does not want revenue on peak season date? We stayed Dec 28-30 2017.

Long story short, they opened the 1 room in booking sites because apparently booking there will be cheaper for us.. huh? They want to pay booking sites commission rather that direct booking? Ok thats fine but when we arrived, we found out that many rooms are still available which is really puzzling, does upper management knows about this? Do they really intentionally gamble last minute walk ins and try to get higher revenue? Anyway enough of that booking part.

THE PROS: the view is breathtaking and ALL the staff are helpful, warming, attentive and shares stories about the company and their other sites. It seems like they "love" the company (i found out that they are being shuffled to other sites from time to time)

THE CONS: (a lot of them): the hotel is new but the faucet did not work properly when we checked in, the shower area drain is clogged, the water pressure is low. Wait, i thought this place is new? And are the shower and otherr fixtuers secondc hand? I thought this place is new? other rooms here dont have windows too (ZERO, just WALLS and very low lighting), pls ask first if this will be an issue for you.

This hotel really didnt bother to train their staff on "how to clean" a hotel. The top of our bed in khao sok has lots of spider webs and dirt there, then upon closer look on the tidyness of the room, youll see that there are many spider webs in ceilings or corners of the room. You wont notice them in the beginning because theres too much extra non worthy details being done in the room that isnt that important like the cleanliness of the room, its like lets forget cleaning this room from top to bottom, lets just fix the pillows and all these thai design to make the guests feel theyre in thailand or something. I really bet all that dirt are still there until theyre able to read this.

We also left the place 10am and was back around 2pm and they did not do housekeeping yet. It seemed like you have to tell them first before theyll do it?... huh? A 7room hotel and then this?...

This place has really potential but the location is a bit worrisome because its too far from the main tagaytay area. The heart of the staff is really there but the proper training and supervision is not.

Oh and by the way, they allowed us to tour the whole hotel and all their rooms since no one is checked in or the other guest has not arrived yet (see what i mean about very warming staffs?), which is a good decision on their part because by doing so, i found out that there was a BIG RAT loittering inside their presidential suite!!! Its about 12" - 15" big. I told the staff to make sure to find it before their guest arrives. WHAT A CLOSE CALL. It wouldve been a nightmare if they didnt let me tour the place and then the guest checked in in that 35k room and then a rat said hello. What a pity.

The pool does not have a heater which means it is for display only during the cold months. Sigh.

For now, their rooms should be priced below 5k only to make it "worthwhile". They made a good decision to make a 50% promo for January next year. I hope everything here is addressed for the success of this hotel because i admire the heart of their staffs.

Lastly, their breakfast is not bad actually and has a generous serving, i think they addressed previous complaints on this already. Coffee is not 3in1 anymore this time.

We regret booking this hotel for a family getaway. We are one of the so-called weekend regulars of Tagaytay and we were excited to try it out only to feel regret over our choice when there were more and definitely better hotels to choose from.

Let's mention good points:
1) Kind security guard
2) Cozy-at-home feel of the place. Right away, one would know that the place used to be a house converted into a hotel
3) Great view of Taal Lake
4) There is wifi
5) Good breakfast-presentation and taste only

Everything else is bad:
1) pricey rate-price does not match the service provided
2) poorly-trained or worst, untrained staff- my household help are better.
3) no telephone in the room only bells that the supposed butler could not even hear right away.
4) they have no dining options except for the set breakfast YET they do not have a minibar inside the room.
5) unmanned reception office-we couldnt check in right away because there was no one at the front desk. We also couldnt check out right away.
6) the staff wears native costume attire yet they look panicked whenever you asked them something; it's like they do not know anything
7) BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION, THE PLACE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE FOR FOOD DELIVERY BY FOOD CHAINS FROM TAGAYTAY.

Here's what happened to us: At that time, my hubby was out playing golf which means he took the car with him. Of course, for lunch i ordered food online since they dont have telephone in the room. To my disappointment, Jollibee, Mcdo and Yellowcab said that they dont deliver in the hotel's area. Because of this, I asked if the hotel can just cook food for my daughter. The staff said he'd ask the manager first and came back saying that i had to pay P500. Fine with me. Few moments later, he said he will just ask their fellow staff to go to Tagaytay to buy food from Jollibee because the cook either have nothing to cook or has left the hotel (whatever it was so vague). I felt frustrated that I cant have a simple service from
them because of 1) the lack of dining options in the hotel, 2) untrained staff. My daughter and I just decided to skip lunch and wait for my hubby to come back. Next thing i know, i got a call from the manager who said that she has hotdog in the fridge and offered to have it cooked for us. of course, i did not take her stupid offer anymore.

8) POOR SERVICE AND UNTRAINED STAFF IS AN ACCURATE REFLECTION OF THE MANAGER- For any request, the staff would say, they would ask the manager first but the manager is nowhere to be found. I only felt her during our food situation when she made that funny offer to cook the hotdog for us. During checkout, the staff did not how to process our credit card so he had to call the manager who then coached him the entire process. The manager should know the competency level of her staff. Her presence would have assured us that everything was under control. But to witness a staff being coached over the mobile phone on how to process our credit card payment step by step was just unprofessional and funny.

Overall, it was the worst hotel experience of our family. We were so relieved to get out of that place. Up to this day, my husband feels guilty for choosing that place. And up to this day, we dont have anything but bad memories in that hotel. Lessons learned: 1)always bring food to hotels 2) be careful in choosing hotels: dont be fooled by its fancy name or rate-check reviews, which we failed to do 3) if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Meaning, we already have a favorite place to stay in Tagaytay yet we had to try a different hotel only to regret it in the end.
