Detailed Reviews
I stayed in their Secret Room which was half of a duplex, near their offices, stores, and information area. You could hear muted conversations in the evenings and early mornings, but unless you require absolute quiet it shouldn't bother you. The room/cottage was charming, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the food simple but so good.
There was a small hole in the screen so some insects came in, and you had to leave the windows open because the rooms are not airconditioned. But the area is cooler than Manila, and when I stayed it was actually so cold I had to pull the comforter over my head. The room was clean, the sheets were clean, and they put out coffee/tea/water and toiletries. Check-in was 2pm, which allowed for a relaxing mid-morning start from Manila, and check-outs are also a nice, relaxing 12 noon, giving you enough time to finish packing after a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast and dinner are included with your stay.
The gardens are lovely to walk through, including where they grow their vegetables and herbs for cooking and sale. Visitors walk their dogs but keep them on leashes. In fact, when Sonya walked around, it was with her large dog that the attendants allowed to roam freely. The dog was not aggressive, but perhaps the attendants could keep it on a leash and not assume that all their guests are comfortable with having pets come right up to them, because I wasn't.
Also, my friend in another cottage couldn't sleep because she found a large frog in her room at night, and no one to call to get it out; so perhaps some night service could be available for situations like that.
All in all though, my friends and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Finally visited the place and had their lunch set buffet menu. Set starting with the breads and spreads as appetizers were worth the price. The dessert though could use more enhancement. You guys know what to do...
Overall service was excellent. Friendly and health & safety conscious and attentive staff made our dining experience well worth the trip.
Please was well cared for. Will definitely try the acupuncture one day.

The location is tucked away amid luxuriant vegetation and blossoming flowers. The cottage itself was a calm refuge with all the conveniences we could want for a comfortable stay, tastefully decorated in a classical style, and soft furnishings. The incredibly comfy bed made for a peaceful night's sleep. The delicious meals and, of course, the famous massage were two of the highlights of our visit!
All in all, our stay at Sonya's Bed and Breakfast was simply wonderful. Everything about our time spent here was memorable - from the great cuisine to the quiet atmosphere and faultless service. We were revitalized and excited to return, and we were even making plans for our future trip. Strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful haven in Cavite.

Let’s start of with your;
Starter, the dressing of the salad needs to be mixed not sitting on the bottom of the plate with the mangoes (hence you toss the salad). Second of all, I found spiders in my salad, which would be pleasant, if I was watching animal planet.
Let’s move to the main course;
Who in the right mind would serve sun dried tomatoes, and a carbona blended with mangoes? Oh with random pieces of “bits of chicken”... and salmon belly thats obviously been refried and freeze and fried again? Pasta came with half of a half of olive and two capers (you know, for the bants).
(Staff slapped it on the table and didn’t even give us a spoon/fork)
For desert, you guys legit gave me a shanghai sized turon, free slices of cakes you get from Goldilocks (the ones being handed out by the staff) and cold kamote coated with old sugar.
Going there wasn’t even worth the time, travel and money.
100% would not recommend 🙂

Hesitant to book a room because of reviews but decided to try it ourselves. We celebrated our 5th yr wedding anniversary here. Overall stay was good! Sonya herself was even there during our stay.
Came with a complimentary dinner and a sit down style breakfast (though we expected the bfast to be buffet style). Availed their 1hr signature spa as well (1500php/pax, add 150php for a couple room).
Staff were remarkable! Will definitely come back to celebrate another milestone.

Refreshing and one of the best service in Tagaytay. Though expensive for all day breakfast for 700 pesos for menu of salad, bangus, dalandan, Pork and Chicken adobo and egg mushroom. Just tried it because this is in my bucket list.

My fiancee and I stayed here for two nights on a weekend. Since he is temporarily working in Manila, I went to visit him for a few weeks from Canada. After having read great reviews on this site about the place, we decided to book one night here on a Saturday for our trip to Tagaytay. When we first arrived, we fell in love with the place almost instantly. There is no denying that this place has a gorgeous garden and the climate here compared to Manila is perfect. We had been deprived of fresh vegetables so we really appreciated the huge garden salad that was served to us at the beginning of our dinner. Hence we decided to stay a second night and return to Manila on Monday morning. The four meals we had (2 breakfasts, 2 dinners) were delicious overall although we both had mild diarrhea but we're not sure if it was from the food or something else we had.
Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms, the first night we found an empty water bottle where the coffee cups and water bottles are and the bottle cap inside the bed that was already made....Also, there was an army of ants crawling around on the wall that was crossing from one end of the room to the other. There was only tepid water for the shower but that seems to be pretty common in many places in the Philippines.
The staff were generally very friendly and accommodating. HOWEVER,,,,
On Monday morning, we were offered a ride to the bus stop by one of the hotel staff. Since this place is pretty far in from the main road, you either need to drive or take a tricycle out to the road. We were grateful and accepted the offer as that meant we wouldn't have to ride a trike to the bus stop to catch our bus back to Manila. BOY, was that the worst decision of our life....
We sat in the back of the jeep while our driver (I think he also may be the manager or supervisor) drove on the narrow, unpaved dirt road out to the main road. By this time, I had grown somewhat accustomed to the way people drive in the Philippines (not staying in one's lane, driving super close to one another, honking at and not slowing down for pedestrians/animals). However, my fiancee and I both shifted uncomfortably in our seats when our driver, who was going about 50km/hr would not slow down when there were two stray dogs clearly visible in the middle of this narrow road we were on. He honked at them when we were about 12feet away from them. Being malnourished and dehydrated, the one dog that was lying in the middle of the road just looked up and was slow to react. We both saw it coming before it happened. We felt the jeep bump sightly and the gut wrenching sound of a dog's yelp as it got crushed underneath us. To the best of my memory, I believe the driver uttered, "there are so many stray dogs in the Philippines....." We were stunned, shocked, speechless and disgusted. The jeep stopped shortly after when it reached the main road and we got the hell out of the jeep. WHAT A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE end to my last weekend in the Philippines with my partner. Not a word of apology from the driver nor from the hotel management about this incident.

I've been to Sonya's garden two times. When my mom and brother visited me in Makati for a 3 day stay, we decided to go to Batangas. Since Sonya's nearby, we agreed to drop by. My mom actually enjoyed the garden. We even bought different kinds of bread from their Panaderia. The bread are pricey but hey, if you're happy at the place it doesnt matter. When we were about to check the Spa, we noticed that a wedding was about to take place. So we excused ourselves so we could make our way to the spa since we only saw one pathway. Then this "sosyal" looking old woman suddenly asked us in her haughty voice where we are going. So, I told her we are going to check the spa. In my embarassment, she looked us up and down and snobbishly told us that the place is not a park to loiter around and have excursions done! She even said this with the wedding guests at hearing distance. I was really mortified. In my shock, I lamely told her that i bought bread from the Panaderia. In truth? I wanted to smack those bread on her face.Really, the place might look like heaven but if evil people resides in it, I rather choose a horrid looking place with angels on it.

The reputation of that place is overrated!!! Yes it's a beautiful place with beautiful gardens but if you go there just to eat at the restaurant, pick another place. First, they only have buffet with very limited choice . Pasta that looked like they 've been cooked a week ago cause they were so dry, with very fatty white sauce or meet sauce , then vegetables, then mushroom and finally salmon that has seen better days, overcooked and too oily. And that's it, not much for over 650 Php!! Not worth it at all!!! All the pnoys told me to go there, what a deception.

I surprised my friend for a birthday breakfast and after we have been seated, the owner (I later found out from the waitstaff) came with her big dog unleashed who was running around under the dining tables. And for some reason, the dog kept on going for our table. On the second time while we were eating the dog jumped under and tipped the table whilst spilling our freshly poured brewed coffee. Owner came to get a hold of the dog and instead of apologizing, made a statement , "Obviously You are not dog lovers!"'I didn't reply for this rudeness and condescending tone but in the back of my mind..I just wanted to eat my breakfast in peace and I wanted to tell her , " No, I just don't like dogs that are obviously not well trained!" ..Needless to say, I am never going back there ever again... the food was sub-par and not as good as the first time I have eaten there!

It is around php1,000 for Sonya's signature full body massage
Yes! For a fee of P750 (rate when we stayed) per furbaby, they can join you in your cottage. Of course it's the owner's responsibility to ensure that your pet does not wreck havoc in your room.
I called them before Christmas and they gave me Php3,740 per person quote with dinner and breakfast. This price is until January 2017. For dog lovers, they allow dogs with a fee of P800 per pet.
Hope this helps.
About 6000PHP for a twin sharing room inc breakfast for 2 pax.
