The hotel was perfect and excellent value for money compared to other places we stayed. A lovely small family run hotel with incredible service all round. We booked a superior room with sea view and although the room was small it was sparkling clean, bright & comfortable. The terrace with sea view was heaven. Beds were comfy and the shower pressure was amazing if that matters to you. Free parking was also a great addition. The rooftop pool and terrace was lovely and drinks with free bar snacks a great addition! In terms of food, breakfast was delicious with multiple options. The buffet was served to you so felt very covid safe and nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner their one evening and the food was nice but we felt slightly over priced especially given the small portion sizes compared to other restaurants we tried in Praiano. For anyone trying to decide I’m so glad we decided to stay in Praiano rather than Positano. It was such a nice town, much less hectic/touristy and most importantly with beautiful sunsets which you don’t get on other parts of the coast. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely be back one day!

We are just back from a wonderful stay at the Hotel Tramonto d'Oro. We can't recommend the hotel highly enough. The setting is spectacular, located in the centre of Praiano with breathtaking views across to Positano. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a terrace with a sea view and I would definitely recommend paying a bit extra for this. The food was delicious too. But it is the exceptional service and friendly atmosphere that impressed us the most. The hotel is family run and by the time we left we almost felt like part of the family ourselves! Roberta at the Front Desk helped us with dinner reservations and arrange various activities for us. Elisabetta arranged a fantastic wine tasting for us at short notice. The staff always greeted us with a smile and restaurant staff were particularly attentive. We can't wait to go back!

It has been a while since my last stay there, in Praiano, the (fortunately) lesser known, quieter and more authentic sister village to Positano. In these years (although difficult) they managed to improve on everything. They truly impressed me with the new rooms, light and spacious, with a wonderful (faithful to the hotel's name) sunset view. Loved the bathroom as well (one of my personal fixations, given that I make my living in the architectural field). Service is excellent as always. You ask for it and things just happen. Naturally and unobtrusively. Be that for booking a spot on the beach (a not-as-long-as-it-seems and really rewarding trip down the stairs through the narrow alleys of Praiano), or for renting a scooter to make our your way around the curvy roads of the Amalfi coast... You can feel the welcoming hospitality of the family that still owns and cherishes this place firsthand. No dinner or breakfast goes by without someone acmes around asking you about your day, your plans, your stay... This brings me to the food... the breakfast is fantastic (you'll long for the cardio-walk to the beach afterwards)... the dinner is like speechlessly so... you can spare the worries of looking for a place for evening meal elsewhere... just eat in and go with the flow... gently easing your way to your room with a chilling glass of local limoncello... chatting the evening away glazing at the vibrating lights of Positano in front of you...

I am typing this message from our balcony with the most incredible view on the sea, Positano and Capri and Sorrento in the distance. Birds are chirping. The sound of churchbells. The smell of the Bougainvillea and lemons.... and a wonderful breakfast waiting for us. Don’t hesitate. If you can, just go! Also now. Especially now. You will be rewarded by having paradise on earth more or less for yourself. Like it was before Conde Nast, Lonely Planet and the rest of the world discovered it. Top that with the genuine warmth, kindness and impeccable service of the Esposito family running Tramonto d’oro. They will be delighted to have you too, and have every safety measure in place. We go to Praiano with our friends every year and are so happy and grateful that we were able to come this year too. Italy, perhaps even more so than other places in the world, went through a very difficult time. But take your precautions, make sure you are no risk for others, come here, and you’ll truly understand the meaning of that important, hopeful phrase: Andrà tutto bene. Praiano, Tramonto d’oro: we love you and wish you well!

Absolutely amazing hotel for a romantic getaway. My wife and I started our honeymoon by staying 4 nights at Tramonto D'Oro. Lovely hotel owned by great family that were inviting, warm, and were very helpful! What a great hospitality! The property has unbeatable views too. We definitely enjoyed staying in more quieter Praino versus tourist packed Positano. The hotel dinning and breakfast are top quality, and local restaurants provide additional variety of amazing Italian food. We cannot wait to come back!
