I booked 3 Supior rooms as it was the last day of our family holiday. On arrival I was told only 1 room had been booked. I showed the man mybooking form but he said it was not on his computer. I told him I was not happy about this a stood my ground. He said that they were fully booked. I said that was not my problem. Eventually he " magiced" up w rooms but made me feel he was doing me a favour. Honestly, I would never stay there again and am really disappointed with his attitude.

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel with my teenage son. Overall, I would give this hotel 3 1/2 starts, due to some service issues.
However, the breakfast presentation is 5*****. Manuela provides and bakes fresh breakfast each day. It includes eggs and a selection of meat and cheeses. The most outstanding part, were the homemade pastries, which kept us going back for more.. You can also visit Manuela at her shop Al Refolo on via IX Giungo and find many treats there.

The room we stayed in was amble in size for the two of us. Furnishings were pleasant & I found the bed comfortable to sleep in. However, I found the TV set up confusing and difficult to work, but the hotel staff was happy to come to my room and show me how it worked. Staff at the front desk exceeded my expectations.-- Somehow in my travels to 4 different cities the charging wire to my Iphone disappeared, by the time I got to this hotel.
The woman at the front desk was kind enough to lend me her own charging wire, so that I could recharge my phone and was also able to let me know where I could purchase a new one (Thanks again for helping me out!)

The main difficulty I had was communicating with housekeeping. If I needed them to come back latter or needed some time to get out of my room, before it was cleaned, the room never got made up. One evening, , housekeeping did not leave me any fresh towels and all the used towels were taken out. .When I inquired at the front desk about obtaining towels, I was told none were available till am. It would benefit the hotel to have a reserve of towels for guests after hours and having some kind a check list to revisit rooms that were not cleaned.

I would also love to see some availability of food at the hotel other than breakfast. Maybe a small sandwich shop, that might have light dinner items as well.

Also, I was able to walk to the Piazza fro this hotel. It is not a short walk, but after all the walking I did on this trip, it was short to me. Also, can walk to Spaghetti Joe's from here & the Spaghetti was delicious.

i spent 4 nights at this hotel recently to visit my family. while i usually prefer to stay in Trieste or Duino, for practical reasons it made sense to stay in Monfalcone this time. perhaps because our expectations were not so high, i have to say we were pleasantly surprised and may definitely consider returning. having read that most of the rooms are quite small, i booked one of the larger ones, with balcony. room 239 is huge, it has a sitting area, and two french windows opening on the balcony, and a vast bathroom (the shower unit needs some fixing - the floor got very wet every time we showered). as we were spending four nights we were very happy to have the extra space. the hotel is a beautiful old building, nicely restored, hosting some local institution and a training facility on the ground and first floor - the hotel in fact occupies only the second floor. it has a very elegant, imposing hall, and it is a bit of a shame that the lighting is so drab: with a few well placed lamps and lights the entrance would look totally 5 stars. it is a very quiet hotel, set in a pretty, leafy neighborhood, perfect for jogging (especially since the hotel does not offer a gym..). it is true that service feels a bit more three stars than four, but i think it's understandable given there are relatively few rooms, and that this is a hotel in a smallish town catering mostly to business travellers working at the nearby shipyards.
the little flaws are in my view largely made up by the cleanliness and style of the rooms and pleasant and very practical location - very easy to reach the beaches - we visited both Sistiana and had dinner in Grado - or the nearby wine region - we also took advantage of the cantine aperte wine tasting tour. all in all, it is a very good base to explore the area.
management should notice that when i booked, the hotel own site would not allow me to do the booking, showing full occupancy for three of the four nights requested, while booking.com had rooms available. that's kind of odd. tariff is the same but they may want to take a look at what happened.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night. We got here at 22:30 however the receptionist ensured that we had a smooth check in and we were in our rooms in no time at all. The rooms are quite spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The level of cleanliness was also high whilst the quality of the breakfast, was also quite good. There is ample parking space both in fron of the hotel as well as in the parking area located on the Hotel Grounds.

The hotels location is superb if you are doing business with the local yard. Not to far away and not to close! It’s walking distance. The rooms are clean and tidy! The personnel in both reception and breakfast room have exceptional skills when it comes to customer services.
The score of 4 is in my mind a 3+!
What would bring the hotel to the level of 4+ is if they invested in a restaurant! Bearing in mind that they already facilitate a Restaurant school with chefs and waiters schooling. A suggestion to the management team of the hotel, engage the school in a collaboration to serve dinners at your otherwise exceptional hotel!

The hotel is nice, modern style Inside but in a historical building. It is within walking distance of the city centre (10 min) and very quiet. The staff was very helpful with all questions. Only the room temperature was too hot and impossible to regulate downwards (24-27°C!); The breakfast is good except the warm dishes were not really warm.

Booked for me by a colleague this was a lovely surprise, spacious, quiet, and within a reasonable walk to the town centre.
No restaurant, so you will be going out, but there is loads of choice.
My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, I'd happily of stayed longer than our 1 night.

While in Italy, I had a long term stay of three months at the Europalace hotel. The building itself was quite nice, but what I was impressed with most, was the quality of the staff and the excellent treatment I received while there. It has always been my experience, that Italians are lovely, warm, hospitable people, but the wonderful staff at the Europalace took it to an entirely different level. I would wake up every morning to the smell of brioche heating in the oven, and be greeted by the smiling dining staff who would immediately offer you the coffee of your choice, fresh brewed from the espresso maker. The concept of a 'continental breakfast' usually invokes the thought of weak, tepid coffee and stale pastries, but after my first wonderful breakfast there consisting of fresh fruits and other tasty dishes, that image was wiped from my memory forever. The bottom line, is that they treated me like family, and for that I am very grateful, and have much love for them all. If you are ever in Monfalcone Italy, this is the place to stay, and it would even be worth the drive from surrounding areas.

I was in town on business and since it was a national holiday the business I was visiting was closed on my day of arrival. I needed to have a meeting that day and since the business was closed and alternate location was needed. I called the Europalace and they provided me a meeting place for the afternoon at a resonance price. The meeting room was comfortable and had Windows that opened and was a very pleasant experience. I also stayed at the hotel and enjoy sleeping with the windows open and the king size bed. I also walk to the city center with my workmates and we enjoyed a delicious pizza at Al Gabbiano which is within walking distance to the hotel. It was a pleasant stay. Monfalcone.
