#13 of 18 hotels in Milazzo
Cassisi Hotel, situated in the center of Milazzo, just a few steps from the port of Milazzo point mooring of ships and hydrofoils to the Aeolian Islands. The simple elegance of the hotel, the central location, the convenience of proximity to the commercial port and the tourist port "Marina di Nettuno", determine the satisfaction of our loyal customers. The hotel is renovated from an old stable of the early 800 that was inhabited by Giovanni Cassisi (1788-1865) Judge, Attorney General at the Grand Court of Palermo and finally King Ferdinand II’s Minister of Sicily Affairs. Located in the historic heart of Milazzo, just a short walk from the marina and the port for embarkation to the Aeolian Islands, the CASSISI is a small design hotel with all the comfort and luxury you could wish for, quality of services and the typical Sicilian hospitality.

We travel frequently between Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands and this hotel is without a doubt the best option in Milazzo. The staff are friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for these girls whom all speak excellent English. On a recent visit we needed to print some documents for our appointment with local immigration authorities and they very kindly offered to do this for us. The breakfast choice is varied, generous and fresh. We always seem to be fortunate enough to get the same room which has become so familiar to us - it is big, spotlessly clean and has lots of special touches making it feel that management really care about their guests comfort. Recently we needed to stay elsewhere as the Cassisi was full and I was reminded that the warmth, kindness, comfort and location of the Cassisi is a truly unique experience in the heart of Milazzo.

We chose to stay here two nights in order to take a trip to Stromboli. The hotel is about 300 metres from the ferry terminal. There is no parking at the hotel but the staff were helpful in arranging valet parking nearby for a reasonable cost. The rooms are small and if you have a lot of luggage you may struggle. Certainly too small for an extended stay. Breakfast was quite good. The wifi works fine but annoyingly you have to have a separate login for each device and only a short period of inactivity results in you being logged out.

The hotel is very conveniently located for the bus from Catania and the ferry to the islands only a five minute walk away. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable with french windows and a tiny balcony; it was a bit noisy early in the morning with the windows open but on the other hand interesting to see the comings and goings in the street. The breakfast was really excellent: freshly squeezed lemon juice, great coffee, various cheeses and cold meats, little savoury and sweet pastries, croissants, and a lovely lemon and olive oil cake - a very enjoyable start to the day! Would happily go back there again - very good value for money.
