The hotel is globally clean - large and nice room with view on Milazzo port - staff at the breakfast particularly available and kind - staff at the reception rather distant - parking inside not very easy
The hotel offers some wonderful views across the bay and to the hills beyond. When the mist clears Mount Etna is visible in the distance. Our suite overlooking the pool had plenty of space as well as a comfortable bed. The dining room staff were helpful and the room staff were diligent. Unfortunately, late arrivals at breakfast are not offered the same level provisions as earlier arrivals. My reservation is that the hotel is very sadly short of simple maintenance. For example, the plug in the spa bath did not work, the bathroom sink had been chipped and poorly repaired, the dressing gowns were welcome but they are tired and in need of urgent replacement and the guide lights on the approach road had 50 percent of the lightbulbs in need of replacement. Little niggles that I would not expect in a 4 * hotel. …
Hotel itself is neat and room and bathroom was nicely renovated. The bathroom had a huge bathtub which looked nice but we never managed to fill it up since it stopped after only a little water on the bottom. The warm water also had some issues during our stay and when we reported it, the hotel always tried to solve it but it never was really clear why the water supply was not stable. Although the hotel staff was very friendly, communication was sometimes difficult since they hardly spoke English. The hotel has 2 pools, 1 private and 1 more or less public pool. We always went to the public pool since that had a bar and was more lively. The environment around the hotel was ok, several restaurant to go out to dinner in the evening within walking distance. We had a good stay and to relax for a couple of days this was a good hotel. If you want to go to a place with more tourists go to Taormina or Cefalù. …
The Eolian Milazzo Hotel is a very nice 4 star hotel I Milazzo on the north side of Sicily. The hotel is very clean, has 2 pools and a helpful front desk who will help you with local tips. Also free parking and a good breakfast. The rooms facing the sea has a wonderful view over the sea and the mountains and the A/C is working really well. The city of Milazzo is right down the hill and within 10-15 minutes walk you’ll be downtown where you can find nice restaurants. We moved on after 3 nights to Lipari and we could leave our bags and cars for free at the hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is not a welcoming place. Shortly before leaving Palermo we had our clothes laundered and picked up the bundles on the way to Milazzo. So we arrived at the hotel with suitcases and 2 bundles of laundry. We checked in with all this stuff and were given keys and showed the elevators. No bellman in sight and no offer to help. The literature in the room indicated that the restaurant was open until ten and the bar open until 11. Having already eaten a giant meal in Cefalù, we did not try the restaurant but a drink or an espresso would have been nice. The bar was not open. A waiter from the restaurant brought us a drink as we sat outside the restaurant. The next day we spent the day visiting family in a nearby town. Again we had eaten a huge meal with family and sometime in the early evening wanted a light meal and a little something sweet. We were told the restaurant was closed. The bar was not open either. Ultimately, the restaurant was persuaded to serve us a salad outside by the pool. We ate on a bench - no table ever provided. The restaurant has a 5 star rating yet we were served a very pedestrian salad with dressing in little packets like those in fast food restaurants. There was a private party in the restaurant so we basically helped the water clean up after us. Not good The hotel is not within walking distance to the town center. There is nowhere to go if you don’t have a car or call a taxi (10€ each way). The bar was never open. If you go to Milazzo I suggest staying closer to the center of town, especially if you are catching a boat to the Aeolian Islands. …
