The Baglio Oneto of the Princes of San Lorenzo is a Luxury Wine Resort built from an ancient noble residence from the 1700s. The fabulous 5 Star Resort is located in Marsala on a hill 150mt above sea level and only 8 Km from the beach. Its dominating position allows the best view of the Western Sicily with the sea, Egadi Islands, and the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone up to Mount Erice. The Resort consists of 47 rooms renovated in 2020, a restaurant, with various locations, a bar, and a panoramic swimming pool with a view of the sea and islands. Specialized staff will accompany guests to their reserved room: Superior with a countryside view, Deluxe with sea and islands view, Junior Suites with private lounge and the original Tower Room. All finely furnished with traditional Sicilian materials and equipped with the most innovative comforts. All rooms have a balcony or patio, the floors are tiled. The term "Baglio" means "Fortified House", Oneto is the surname of the family. It was founded for the production of wine, oil and fresh produce. Even today, 8 types of wine including the famous Marsala DOC meditation wine and extra virgin olive oil are produced. The wine tasting into the historic refining cellar is strongly recommended. The bar offers a splendid sunset on the Pool terrace, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the colors of Sicily. Gourmet cuisine at Baglio Oneto restaurant with Italian and typical Sicilian dishes, combined with the best Italian wines. The aromatic herbs that grow inside the Baglio give to the dishes the ancient flavors of Sicilian tradition. A lovely hotel with the best breakfast spread I have ever seen. Our room which was supposed to have country views was only a narrow strip of grass and a sparse number of shrubs so we didn’t sit on the little balcony but sat outside the bar and watched the sunset.

This really is a find. A beautiful hotel with stunning views and sunsets. I cannot say enough about the staff - all so friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. Food and wine are all excellent - the wine tour is a must!

A very warm welcome when we arrived and it just continued. Amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing. We hired the ebikes to explore the area and they were great. The food in the restaurant is delicious, fresh and very tasty. The choice of wines amazing. Overall, the hotel and its staff were amazing, a great base to explore local sites.

The resort is beautiful. We did a wine tasting and then had dinner in the restaurant. The sommelier was knowledgeable and personable. The food was delicious. Breakfast were great- so many choices and all good!

Located above the village of Birgi, overlooking Trapani, Baglio Oneta is a superb resort for couples or families. Rooms were well designed and an individual balcony extended the views. Staff were extremely attentive, with no request too much. Suited to the person with a generous budget.

Our group of four had two rooms at Baglio Oneto and we really enjoyed our short stay (2 days) at the hotel. If I had to do it over again, I would have added an additional day or two days. The hotel is located in the countryside, about 20 minutes drive from Marsala. The hotel is also a short ride from Trapani. The Oneto family is still resident at the family estate where the hotel is located. We used the hotel as a base to spend time in both Marsala and Trapani. The breakfast selection was very good and one of the best of our three week stay in Sicily. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and provided helpful info to us regarding visiting Marsala. The rooms were nicely appointed and the beds were great. …

We stayed 5 nights at the Baglio Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo. This property is amazing; I would give it 6 stars if I could! The staff are warm, friendly and professional. The food and wine are outstanding, with the highest quality ingredients and presentation. The property and grounds are incredible to behold; so much beauty and attention to detail, pristine in cleanliness, and views of the gorgeous Marsala countryside and coast.
