Unfriendly welcome. The rooms ceiling are covered with squashed mosquitoes from the lagoon, din’t even think of opening the windows or you’ll be ravaged by bites. This is also not a children friendly hotel, we did not get a baby bed and the owner kept saying it was our fault for not telling her in advance! How complicated was it for a hotel to help their guests, especially when there was hardly any occupancy. The restaurant is completely overpriced, we payed 160 euros for the littlest meal. Not a good deal in Italy. Also, the owner shut the door where we were dining so our child wouldn’t disturb her table, it was quite rude and frankly shocking. There is a cold and unfriendly atmosphere, no assistance at the front desk... we were very disappointed.
We just spent here now our fifth holyday in this sweet boutique hotel: 1) Perfect place and location amidst a natural and bird sanctuary. 2) Perfect service by extremely friendly staff. 3) Perfect architecture - just seven wonderful rooms with a formidable view across the lagoon. 4) Perfect food by a chef of highest level of creativity and joy of creating new and delicate dishes far beyond avarage italian noodle, pizza and fried fish stuff. Peaceful, quiet, very relaxing days. Worth every detour.
A great little design hotel with just about seven or ten rooms. The location next to the lagune is mindblowing, especially in the morning, when you wake up and enjoy breakfast in the middle of the national park. The meal is high class and served with love. As the owner said, we've been the first guests playing backgammon on the evening terrasse: wich was worth a glass of her best grappa for every gambler :)
What a great Hotel. It feels like living in your own masion with helpful staff. The location is 5 minutes drive from the center of Grado. And 3 minutes drive from the beach. We stayed there for 4 nights in September and where very satisfied. This is really a unique Hotel. Original design furniture. Spacious rooms, all with Balcony to the lagune. The brakfast was superb with their own "bakery". Even, the waitress brought home made cakes after a birthday party for us. How is that for a service. Will return as soon as possible. Thank you :-)
a true "Boutique" hotel - wonderful location with lovely laguna views; superb architecture w/ excellent eye for the smallest design details; very comfortable & large rooms. Oche Selvatiche means "Wild Geese" - and you are surrounded by them ! Need to mention the very friendly service at breakfast - thank you, Katja ! smallest issues with WiFi coverage on the sundeck, an umbrella or awning would be nice for very hot days - but I'm sure the owner couple will add this soon, hotel has only been open for 4 months. yes, the pool could be bigger ....
