Grado is one of the most charming seaside places, and very family-friendly. This hotel offers different type of rooms and appartments. The bigger appartments are spacious, well equiped, optimal for a stay with small children. The builing got it's own history, the garden is nice, and you can park your car in the garden. The beach is very close, also the old town center, so the location is perfect. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Excellent accommodation location right by the beach. Absolutely perfect reception service. Parking and car care during the stay. Pleasant rooms. City center with many shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Beautiful hotel, I would say the best hotel in Grado. Big and cozy rooms, the delicious breakfast. The hotel is situated directly with the access to the beach and in the same time in the center of the city. I highly recommend this hotel. Grado is a great destination for your vacation.
Charming Hotel, nice Rooms, on the beach Location, in city centre. Elegant surrounding. Great Service and very polite staff. All easy to communicate with in german, english and italian. Parking service
In an amazing town, this hotel has a perfect location, few minutes from the old town and different restaurants and a few steps from the beach. The villa is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, tidy. There is parking possibility in the garden.
Very good location, but definetly no 4 star! No bell boy, private beach is advertised but (i) does not exist, it is just beds and umbrella on the public beach for Euro 24 plus a day (ii) we were told upon arrival that the same were "fully booked" - so no place on the beach- basta. No excuses given. The rooms are small and the furniture is old. TV only italian, w-lan poor. Bathrooms seem from the 70`s, cheap and small douche cabin which does not even close properly, air condition is noisy (at least not as loud as the fan in the bath) and has no room control (you can only have it switched on or off by calling housekeeping by phone). No tissues. Personell is unfriendly and seems stressed. No information on the hotel and ist faciklities are given, no information in the rooms. Having booked for four nights we left after two - never again.…
A very clean, quiet and extremely well positioned location. Spacious rooms, warm atmosphere. Not far away from the main street with restaurants, close to the sea, very kind personnel and great breakfast also with a lot of healthy vegetarian options. If you travel with kids, please do NOT count on the Therme - they are really old fashioned. But if the weather is great, the sea is a perfect option for the kids.
This hotel is definitely not 4 star maybe 2-3. We booked one junior suite for a week, and we payed in advance for it, to be sure that we get the right room. It wasn't cheap at all. They gave us a low quality apartment in the attic. The bathroom had a small bathtub, where you could not stand up because of the roof. There wasn't any TV set in the bedroom, and the advertised Wifi was not working at all in the attic. The air conditioner was beside the bed, outdated and so loud, that you could not sleep, while it was on, even when it was on the lowest setting. The bed mattress is simple low quality wear out foam. (all this for more than 220 euro/day) After checking in the room on Saturday when we went back to the front desk complaining about our room, they didn't even said that they are sorry or something the receptionist lady started yelling on us. It was total insane, we have never met so rude receptionist ever. She finally said, that on Monday we will get the room we are payed for. On Monday we packed our stuff, to prepare for the move to other room, and when we went to the front desk, the same rude receptionist lady started shouting and yelling on us, that she already sold all the rooms, so we won't get the room we are payed for or any other same category. We where shocked, that she just lied to us all the time from the beginning. They advertised and sold a room over the internet, which is not available, or they does not have at all! We left this substandard hotel after 2 days. Beside this, the breakfast and dinner was also below average, also you have to pay for parking (8 euro/day), the beach (2 euro/day for adults 1 euro for kids) and for the umbrellas (24 euro/day) on the beach (hotel doesn't have any).…
We stayed here for 3 days, and we highly recommend it. We are professionals who travel a lot, and we were very positively impressed. What we really care about: location, cleanliness, food, staff. The hotel is in a renovated 19th century building with lots of charm. Rooms seem to be on the small size, but ours was plenty for two adults and a small child (and we are not small people). We had a wonderful view on the beach. Room was spotless and bathroom was very clean. Food was quite good, caters particularly to Austrian/German tourists who seem to be the majority here. Breakfast and dinner (included in the fare) are a great deal; continental breakfast includes made to order cappuccinos and fresh croissants, all sorts of breads/cold cuts/cheese/cereal/juices etc. Dinner is a la carte (menu changes daily, lots of choices) plus a huge salad bar - you will not go hungry. The saturday night we were there they had a complimentary happy hour in their garden, with prosecco and tasty hors d'oeuvre. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and particularly kind with children. Parking lot of the hotel is smallish (understandable since the hotel is near a historical area); the staff was perfectly on top of it and would get cars quite quickly when needed. The location is perfect for a family with children; a very well maintained beach is literally a few steps away, with full service available (umbrella, chairs, food/drinks shack, lifeguard). The best thing about this beach is that the water is very shallow and there are no waves, so it's very safe to let kids play. If you don't want to go to the beach, you can walk around the lovely center of Grado - it's mostly a pedestrian area, with historical parts/churches to visit, a small park for children, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream stores. There is a beautiful promenade with view on the water and lots of charming fountains.…
I already reviewed this hotel and wish to confirm the nice, clean atmosphere, perhaps a little impersonal at times. Breakfast and meals were delicious and the hotel is in a very central location right on the beach with parking (important in Grado). Overall a nice experience again.
