Because of Covid-19 the village was only about half full so the staff upgraded our apartment for the same price that we had booked. The staff throughout the village were friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and nice and there was a small quiet beach area about 500 meters away. Lots of biking trails around the area. I would definitely stay again.
We made a horrible mistake. We dont use google maps to find out that this island is barrier for see weed, so all the islands here are surrounded by mud and sea grass which produce unhealthy amount of mosquitos. Every evening we have to use tons anti mosquitos sprays (doesnt realy help). We have bunch of new bites every night. Smely beaches Grassy sea Mosquito attack from 19:00 till 8:00 Never ever again ... there are so many nice beaches around the Italy without this brown smelly s....t so please choose any other beach at least 80km far from Grado and you will do the best !
The accomodation itself is really good but the tons of mosquitos made our stay here terrible. We have chosen this apartment that the children can safely play around the room. But unfortunately because of the mosquitos we could not let them out even daytime! Maybe it is better in main season but 1st week of September it was horrible! Could not sit outside for a dinner or have breakfast without hacking ourselves! One evening 5 (!) incences on the terrace + candle + spray - and 10 bites in half an hour! Never thought that such thing could destroy the vacation - but it definitely did. Otherwise would have been perfect! The restaurant was offering only menu for dinner - i am not sure if this is because of the late season but was not feasible, had to go for dinner to the city.
We stayed for couple of days in two room apartment. It was big enough, well equipped and clean. Villaggio offers great pool with slides and friendly staff prepares many activities for children. There is no beach close to the village but you can go to perfect one in Grado.
The staff at Ca’ Laguna is the most wonderful. On June 8,2018 my husband and I witnessed a group of customers who were rude to the staff. We had a great experience and we highly recommend Ca’ Laguna. Everyone from the check in to helping me with the bikes and at breakfast were polite, curious and professional. I will return and recommend Ca‘Laguna to our friends because of your staff.
We were a group of 15 people. During the dinner, and because I claimed about a door opened behind me and releasing cold wind onto my back, the personnel in the restaurant began treating us in a very unpolite way in such a manner that at certai point I believed they will throw the pizzas onto our faces. A pity, because the other personnel was really nice. Very bad!!!!
The whole resort is fine for kids, swimming pool is the best one, even for the younger kids. Many animations and etc.Bungalows are clean and quiet. The main problem is lack of beach. There is private beach mentioned in then website, but dont believe it. Its swamp only! Other beaches are located in Grado, so you have to go about 3-4 km from the resort. Wi-Fi is rather not good. Breakfast are totally weak, it is not buffet! Its rather cheap continental breakfast. Diners are a bit better, lets say average. But in total I recommend this village, just dont order meal, dont expect beach and once more.... there are swarms of mosquitos!
Let's start with the good part. The pool is awesome. Huge pool, kids friendly, lots of activities from the staff during the day. Beware of the waterslides. If you go too fast, you WILL hurt yourself. Other than that, they are fun also. On the other hand, "mosquito" is the operative word for the place. They are everywhere, all around, and they are terribly hungry. And angry. We had to buy 2 insect thingies to plug on the wall, and they stayed on 24/7, and we STILL got bitten. Did I mention we had repellent on top of that? We did. Bites, lots of it. Sundown is the worst. Stay inside, windows and doors closed. Or in a military bunker. Maybe (just maybe) you'll be safe then. If you are looking for beach vacations, forget it. There is no beach nearby that would deserve that name. Crappy crappy beaches, when you don't have to pay to enter it. The wifi will only connect near the reception. No signal at the pool or at the rooms. At the nearest town, Pineta Grado, there is an awesome restaurant, Le Bronse. Try the gnocchi with salmon and shrimps. The town of Grado itself is beautiful. But whatever you do, do not forget: Mosquito.…
I stayed here for the 1st week in August with my husband and 6 yr old son. We had a studio bungalow for 4 people. This was 4 single beds including an upper bunk bed. All very comfortable. As it was very hot when we were there we were happy the aircon was so good. The large shutters on the doors/windows keep out the light so no wakening too early in the morning. We did notice mosquitoes but prepared with citronella candles and cinnomen oil after reading some reviews on here so only got a couple of bites. The pool is great with two slides. Entertainment at night wasnt really our thing but it seemed to be enjoyed by many of the other guests. We ate twice at the restaurant and it was good. Not many Englist speaking kids but thats location. We would stay again
Attention, who can cancel reservation, just do it and try to find another place. There is no wather on the beach, you can use public beach in city, cca 5 km far from resort. You are not informed about this situation during registration, but you have to pay all before. This choice was big mistake.
