The hotel is in very bad condition, it has strange smell, everything is old and nobody cares about it. You have no privacy on balcony, you look each other to the neighbours balcony. The price is too high for what they are offering. The interior of the room is probably from 1970.

It looks like a nice place with really spacious rooms. That is a huge plus. There is also a huge minus. There is no hotel reception service during the night and some rooms are not in their best condition. We got a room on the second floor and another on the third floor for my mom in law. Her room was kinda good, except for the spiders in the bed, ours kids sucked. The air conditioning stopped working the second night, it started being smelly. The room was getting hot, that kind of hot, that our kid hesitated to sleep and started yelling instead. Opening the balcony didn’t work, because there was no net barrier, so we would end up with like hundreds of mosquitoes inside. Mosquitoes were everywhere around and opening the front door would be risky. We had plenty of them inside the room during the first night and I ended up with around 40 bites. Rest of the family shared the same fate. After eliminating them, we would be thinking twice about getting such a visit back in. Another thing, which caused few troubles was the bathtub. The shield protecting the floor from getting a flood didn’t stay at its desired position and moved like 1cm behind the edge. So we had a nice flood after each shower. Again, the benefit of the bathroom is its size. Otherwise the place was clean, the breakfast was not bad, to Italy to br honest quite good. We had the side turned the direction to the sea. Very close to the hotel , practically under the windows is an island for separated waste. I can’t understand people throwing there glass bottles around 1:30am. The place and it’s location is ok, just those details are ruining the better impression.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting some friends in Grado. I chose it because it was close to the beach, and the reasonable price included breakfast. When I checked in I also discovered it offered very convenient adds-on, of which I was aware but didn't know if I needed them at the time of booking. I took advantage of their beach umbrella plus chaises lounge package and I also dined at their restaurant both nights, the first night because I was tired, the second because I was impressed with the quality of the food - even though they only had a small selection of one main course, second and dessert, the menu was really appealing to me and the price really convenient. The room is simple but clean, the staff and receptionist very welcoming and helpful. The only thing I want to point out is that the hair/body shampoo bottles provided are really small and not enough after a long day on a sandy beach and salty water. But other than that, I recommend this hotel and will come back in the future.

We have spent only two night in this hotel returning from a Italian roundtrip. The hotel is finally the only real four star hotel we found on our round trip while the breakfast was brilliant. The only down side is that the old town needs quite some walk to be approached but it healthy anyway after a rich dinner in the charming restaruants of the old town

August 14' We visited this hotel as we previously had been really excited, we've been here 4 times around But we are doing so never again. After a morning on the roof of relaxation, we eat lunch in the room, we sit on the balcony and in the meantime we got stolen 1000euro from bag and safety deposit box which should be safe. When we discover that we are in at the front desk as large view much just laugh at us and say we are lying. We ask them to contact the police, and the whole thing ends with the says that it is impossible and that we even have saved the money, also they will like that we are paying for the stay we have already had. Stay far away from this hotel

Stayed here for 4 nights - very clean, great room with sea view. Rooms very large and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They catered for my "Gluten Free" food problem and supplied a good selection of products for breakfast and special cooked meal in the evening. Would definitely recommend staying here. No pool but you can sun bathe on the roof if you don't want to walk to beach (5 mins) and pay for the sunbeds which are quite expensive if not sunny all day. Great location - short walk into very nice town.

A hotel of the very superb standards, good location for a beach and old town as well - not too close to the a few discos that are there. All guys at the reception: Cristina, old man and the other lady are like from the 5 star hotel, always smiling, helping and encouraging to contact. Definitely I will be there again.

We spent two weeks in this hotel, and enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent, helpful and obliging, and our room and balcony were a good size. The hotel is in a quiet location, just a few minutes walk from a sandy beach and approx a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. The hotel is ideal for people with mobility problems and wheelchair users as is Grado itself. It is a shame that more British visitors don't come here, but English is not widely spoken. A knowledge of Italian or German is useful. A little word of warning - the mosquitos are out in force in October! ( The review from kmg62 must be for a different hotel!!)

The carpeting in the rooms was stained and the halls and rooms were in great need of updating. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were less than pleasant. The location has pro's and cons. Pro, if you want to be close to things. Con, if you like to battle crowds everytime you try to enter or leave the hotel.
