Club Med Cefalù garners praise for its spacious, clean rooms, many offering stunning sea views, though some guests mention noise and maintenance issues. Despite its welcoming atmosphere and lively French-inspired evenings, a number of travelers question the value, feeling the high cost is not fully justified. The extensive amenities, including activities and pools, are popular, yet service delays have been noted. While many appreciate the resort's cleanliness and picturesque location, service quality receives mixed reviews, with some instances of unprofessionalism.

My wife and I just spent one week in ClubMed Cefalù.
Amazing vacation and super kindly staff.
Special thanks to Anna from reception, Damiano from maintenance, Filippo and Santo at the breakfast restaurant, Michelangelo great water sport manager, the people at the Zen zone, at the Rocca restaurant and at Palazzo and at Il covo restaurant down at the beach, all service personnel very kind and literally showing attention to the very little detail. Food very good but sometime the French “influence” should leave more room to the best food in the world that’s the Sicilian, I’d suggest the local flavors to take more space however, again, the judgment is very positive anyhow.
All the best and see you hopefully soon again.

We've just returned from a week at the resort. It was wonderful, from the stunning beauty of the location to the standard of service, rooms and all round friendliness. Bruno, Luca and their entourage did everything to make sure that the highest standards were maintained at all times, down to always being greeted with a friendly "buon giorno" by individual staff members which made us feel so welcome. Roberto looked after our every need when we ate in the Palazzo with typical Italian humour, whether for lunch on the terrace with glorious views to more formal dining in the evening. While we were generally happy with the food, especially when we became familiar with the best places to eat, at times we did feel it could've been better, particularly fruit at breakfast time. We took the excursion to Palermo with the marvellous multilingual Marta who was unfailingly helpful to everyone in the group. Unfortunately she had to hand us over to another guide at the sites whose approach was more academic than we would've liked. It was a well worthwhile visit but we would've preferred an overall view of the city. We left on a complete high and can't wait for our return visit next year!

This was our second stay and we loved the village even more than last year. We discovered places in the club which we had not seen before, such as another cove where you could sunbathe and get into the sea even more easily by steps on the rocks. We did lots of sports which are avaiable all day. The local service staff wore masks all times and the food was super delicious and very healthy. The all inclusive means you can even get free champagne. The Viletta rooms are simply the best and though expensive worth every Euro. Some have 180 degree unobstructed views of the vast sea.

Positive stuff first: The room was lovely, well laid out, clean, light and airy. The resort location was beautiful and we really enjoyed meandering around the site looking at different views during our stay. The check-in was good and we were given a lot of information about the resort and welcomed nicely. The pool was refreshing and clean. A 20 minute walk into town was the highlight. Swimming in the Med, whilst chilly, was beautiful with the water calm and clear. Loved it!

Negative stuff: We stayed for 5 nights in a Villetta Deluxe Seaview - yes, we could see the Med if we stood on our verandah and stretched our sight around the corner of the room. So very disappointed with relation to the views offered by other rooms around the resort. We travelled in the middle of May and the resort was not at capacity. We didn't pay the price to look at other rooms. There was absolutely no privacy on our verandah as it faced a main walk way.

Water sports such as kayaking, sailboarding etc were not available. This was one of the things we were really looking forward to. The shower was luke warm, no hot water in the room. Lucky it was warm weather, however, a hot shower would have been appreciated, by the time you got the bath tub to a decent level the water had turned cold even with the hot tap only running.

The Zen pool was not clear, it was a dirty muddy green, with a slimy mossy entrance to the pool, and after a longish walk to get to it, we decided against swimming in the pool. Lawn mowers were being used and this did nothing for "Zen".

The food in the main dining area was average to say the least. A lot of variety, however, it was rarely kept above 'warm' temperature and attempts to get the meat cooked a little more was difficult due to the language barrier. Wait staff were indifferent and we often had to wait for bread and water to be allocated and we would need to wait for more food to be cooked or to arrive after serving trays were empty. At the beach dining area we waited 20 minutes for service after being seated. Not even water was offered until that time. It took over an hour to eat what we thought would be a quick meal.

We felt the spa services were overpriced and didn't use them. We have had better prices at other 5 star resorts around the world for much less cost.

At the bar around the pool only one staff member was able to make a decent cocktail, thank goodness he was there! A movie was being filmed at the resort whilst we were there, and whilst this was okay, it did intrude with guests being diverted from areas or walkways and was not what we signed up for!

We have stayed at other Club Meds over the years, and this one definitely has one of the best outlooks, however, there were too many disappointments with regards to the view, some staff and the food.

We have been at this club three times. So we like it very much. The sports and tuition were excellent. You could have done sports, tennis and water sports all day. Yoga with Morgan was divine. Since 90% at the club were French, and we the only Brits, Morgan made a special effort each evening to teach us (and relax us with her cloud and lake imagery) in English. The housekeeping part was superb: rooms serviced twice a day with local staff working hard and fast round the clock. The food however was just awful this time. Particularly the pasta - you are in the home of pasta and the pasta chef could not cook pasta! Each evening he would turn out cold and far too tough pasta or risotto. The meat chef served cold meat or chicken pieces, with the lamb (consisting mainly of a plate of bones) being tough, cold and rather unappetising. We actually lost weight over the 10 days’ stay. But then there is free Champagne on tap which makes up for the poor standard of food. If Club Med has to make savings because of the Covid crisis then cutting back on good quality food is not the right way to go about things. This is a 5 Trident resort and really very expensive. When I had a meeting with Executive Head Chef Yuri about the quality and state of the food, he laughed and replied: “Ok I’ll sack the whole chefs’ equipe then!” The Food and Beverage Manager has a lot to answer for. She was not available for comment. Restaurant manager Andrea and his serving staff tried their very best to keep the many complaining customers happy each night, but agreed that it was a tough task. There must have been kilos of food waste each evening because customers were sending back the dishes with poorly cooked pasta and meat.

Second stay at Cefalu.
The resort remains a paradise on earth despite some necessary adaptations due to the Covid pandemic. Still no crazy signs nor dancing.

Tennis team again at top with Joyce, Sun and Joe.

Unfortunately we had to share our stay with the President of Club Med, Henri Giscard D’Estaing. The GO team was nervous and the CDV was definitively more focusing for his President than the other GMs which may be understandable but GMs are also providing a job to all CM staff.

Maybe linked to that presence, the welcome team decided to cancel the GMs referents, Charlotte, we were missing you😎.

The Palazzo evening menu has been changed And the service is now terribly slow (all tables were complaining) while the Sommelier anyhow didn’t find the time to visit us and sell a bottle of wine.

The beach restaurant has on the other hand upgraded its service.

Zen pool is still over the top and main pool was pleasant with some Covid-friendly animation.

Not to forget, Francesco the excursion manager is still excellent with really impressive narratives. Thank you.

We will for sure come back, hoping the “king” will be in another resort and the GO team will be adapted to the resort and its GMs.

We arrived late at night to be welcomed by the most charming receptionist Alessio Gangi Gangu. We were made to feel relaxed from that moment on. An electric buggy too us to our room where champagned and other goodies awaited us. Alessio also arranged for fresh food to be sent to our room as a late supper.
Our room was incredible, with the most comfortable bed, and huge free standing oval bath, separate shower, and toilet facilities. All needs were provided for.
The resort itself is exquisitely designed with both natural and manicured gardens. Incredible views over the sea, local town, and mountains.
The dining room offered both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the sea. All staff were amazingly helpful, and every meal offered a huge variety of choices. Every single dish was beautifully cooked and delicious.
Members of staff often came to sit with us at mealtimes and each and every person we had the pleasure to meet were delightful, and enjoyed their roles at Club Med. The Chef de Village (the manager) was charming and had time for each and every guest.
We enjoyed several activities during our visit including salsa lesson and the daily aqua-gym class.
The resort has so much to offer whether lounging by the pool, swimming in the sea, tennis or completely chilling out in the natural adults only Zen area.
I can highly recommend this resort without a question of doubt. Should you wish to visit, and would at a competitive cost, contact me at esti@ect.org.uk

We stayed as a couple at Club Med Cefalù from October 4th to 14th and we were very satisfied!

We were picked up from Palermo airport with our own car and driver and taken directly to the complex.

The staff at Club Med are extremely friendly and competent. The room was nice and big enough even though it was the cheaper category. Our room was also nice and quiet (apparently there are also rooms where you can hear the evening entertainment, but our room was very good).

We went on a hiking trip which was "all inclusive" and this trip was very nice and the guides were good and competent! We went on a paid trip to Etna and this trip was also very nice and very well organized. It is simply advisable to be properly equipped (shoes and clothing).

You can easily see Palermo on your own by train. Walk to the train station or take a taxi and then off to Palermo. The trains are punctual and clean.

The food and drinks are of a very high standard, I personally have never seen or enjoyed such quality food in a buffet restaurant. The service was also good. The waiter service restaurants were also good. Eating directly on the beach (lunch) was a particular highlight.

The evening program was always entertaining.

During our vacation there were always enough places on the beach and pool.

We can only recommend the resort!

I have been to multiple Club Med resorts before but Club Med Cefalu is by far the most beautiful, breathtaking, peaceful and modern I ever experienced. The incredible location, the amazing food and the unique kindness of Sicilians are only a few qualities of this resort. This Club Med in particular offers so many activities for all members of the family but also knows how to keep a calm, refined, sophisticated atmosphere. The staff is obviously very welcoming, especially the ones we don’t usually see first, who stay behind the scene and make our stay as great as possible.

I want to thank a few people who really made our ten days enjoyable : the Chef du Village Barq, Caroline, the tennis instructor Anne-Sophie, the sailing instructor Rafaelle, the gym instructor Jeremy, the archery instructor Alessandro, the bar and restaurant staff (Rosalia, Marco (lifeguard), Gaetan, Luca, Francesco (Beach Bar), Laureto (main restaurant), Antonio), our usual cart driver Francesco, from the animation team Brice and Nikki, and finally Sophia from the jewelry shop.

Thank you again to everyone for everything. Club Med is by far one of the most pleasant and luxurous institutions for all-inclusive holidays. As a regular customer, I highly recommend it!

4 of us left for 4 days in this village.
Strong points: The geographical location, the view of the sea and the village of Cefalu, the rooms (luxury sea view), the layout and integration of the club into the environment, the cleanliness, the layout of the different restaurants , cart service.
Average points: Main swimming pool too cool, could be heated in October to 28 degrees (as planned). Absent village chief and his inefficient team! Average main bar service!
Negative points: the catering!! : breakfast (dry breads and pastries, few fruits and some outdated, dry scrambled eggs...best at late breakfast but more limited choice) Lunch at the beach: limited choice, but correct. Dinner: the gourmet restaurant closes too early (8:30 p.m.!!!). At the main restaurant: apart from the pasta and grilled vegetables (well prepared and seasoned), the quality and choice of meat and fish as well as the desserts are disappointing! No restocking of certain buffets Small aside. The service by the local staff was very good.
In short, having been to Cap Skirring twice, in Africa last season, the quality of the food was an example but it depends on the village chief it seems! In conclusion, review the catering and the village chief (whom I don't know)!
