Young and Organic-Sustainable GREEN winery (first vinification 2009) offers wines witha an extreme terroir content and a strong experiential component. Located on the hill of Pomaio, just 3 km from the splendid Etruscan town of Arezzo offers an excellent southern exposure and a unique landscape. A property of 23 hectares, great care of the vineyards and constant selection of grapes enables the achievement of the objectives related to the quality level that the Podere di Pomaio Green Winery has always pledged to continue in its various fields of business (hospitality, honey, EVO-oil, wine). The project Think Green is the expression of this commitment to produce respecting man, the wine and the hill re-ducing, re- cycling, re-using and above all Re-thinking reality in a smart way. The company won the prize Terre Fiorenti 2014 as the most innovative farm company of Tuscany. The Eco-WneCellar was selected among Tuscany's 25 most beautiful wine-cellars Staying overnight in the beautiful farmhouse surrounded by vineyards is a bit 'like sleeping in a barrel in a green oasis completely fenced creating a experience to discover a wine very natural in a context where the green culture contaminates everything, including people who take the time to savor a conscious life of the past. As everybody always says, in this place more than anywhere else it is easy to dream and this is actually our terroir

Podere di Pomaio was the centerpiece of our first trip with friends since the start of the pandemic, and it exceeded all of our expectations ! The Mandorlo villa was perfect for our group of 6 friends, and the grounds revealed something new around every corner during walks. The views from the hill overlooking Arezzo and the surrounding countryside are spectacular - morning, day and night. We were fortunate enough to be there during the Sangiovese harvest. Although this is one of the busiest times of the year at the vineyard, the owner, Iacopo, always made time to show us the process and answer our many questions. The hospitability manager, Bonella, is one of a kind, delightful and anticipated our every need. The history of the property and green philosophy of the entire operation really makes for a unique experience. Of course we did the wine tour/tasting as well as an on-site cooking class. Both were lots of fun and also educational. Everyone's favorite dish was one of the simplest - freshly made pasta with butter and sage ! Now to begin planning our next visit !

Dear John, what can I say. We are so grateful, and overwhelmed, from the beautiful words you said about us. The view, and place itself are 70% of our success and we don't want to take credits for it. It is just the place itself. But we are happy to read that you had such a good time here and that everything we have done to make your stay pleasant has been appreciated. We just try to do our best every day, and we are happy if our guests are happy. Thank you so much once again, and we can't wait to have you back the soonest possible!! Keep in touch! Iacopo and Bonella

The villas, the staff, the vineyards...it is all perfect! The trip of a lifetime in a setting right out of a Fairytale! The villa was spacious with old world charm and modern conveniences with views that welcomed the day and graced the night. The wine tour made me want to start a winery and we were fortunate enough to be there at harvest time. Podere Di Pomaio commitment to green is innovative and the quality of wine is the highest. Be sure to take the cooking class and learn from the best so you can bring a taste of Podere Di Pomaio home with you! A true treasure and everything was perfect!

One of the most exceptional travel experiences of my life and I am very well traveled! Six of us spent an unforgettable week at one of the two villas set in the Podere di Pomaio winery on a hilltop surrounded by the wine orchards and olive trees overlooking the hill town of Arezzo in the distance. We felt like we were on a movie set as the villa and the meticulously groomed grounds were exquisite! Huge beautifully furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Huge glassed in kitchen and dining room. A lovely pool! A terrace with an unforgettable view of the valley towards Arezzo. We were blessed with perfect weather and picture perfect sunsets each night. We took the informative wine tour and sampled their organic wine offerings. Several of us had wine shipped home as they do not yet have an American distributor. We were especially lucky to be there the week of harvesting! Fascinating! They also arranged an incredibly fun and delicious cooking class with lots of their wines which was a highlight of our vacation for the six of us. The hospitality manager Bonella spoke English beautifully and was so helpful for our stay as we explored Tuscany with various day trips. The property is secured with an electronic gate. The rooms were like a movie set. Being able to cook many of our meals and prepare breakfasts at our leisure made this an incredible week of enjoying each other’s company while exploring the Tuscan hill towns. This is a special vacation spot that meets and exceeds demanding expectations. I will treasure my week there!

This was the third time we visited Podere Pomaio. This time we spent 2 weeks in Villa Leopoldina, which is in a really beautiful location on a hillside. The view from the villa down to the valley and the surrounding mountains is absolutely breathtaking. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden where it is nice to spend time and have breakfast and dinner. In warm weather it is nice to dip in the swimming pool, which has space for all guests. The villa is really beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. All the attractions of Tuscany are very close by and it was so wonderful to return to the villa to rest and relax after a day of sightseeing! Iacopo and Bonella are so friendly and will make you feel welcome. It was so lovely when they brought us fresh vegetables from the farm’s garden and we were able to cook Italian delicacies in well equiped kitchen of villa. We will definitely return to Pomaio one day. The place is absolutely wonderful! -Anne
