The Al-Bustan Ritz-Carlton is by far the best 5 star hotel we have been to. Rooms are very spacious and clean! The food is delicious there is a large variety of international and local food. The service is excellent! The staff at the front desk with the supervisor Mr. Can were high professional and fulfilled all of our wishes. The staff on the beach (especially Mr Aden, Mr. Mohammed from towel service) the staff in the restaurants (especially Mr Ömer, Mr Ibrahem) and the cleaning staff are very competent (especially Mr. James) , attentive, entertaining and fulfill every wish you have. We got pampered! It was a very relaxing holiday! Big thanks to Mr. Can and Mr. Ömer who enabled us to have our most beautiful moment as a couple. Al Bustan has the perfect blend of modernity and traditional, keeping the best of both worlds. Everything was absolutely perfect. Although it took us a bit longer than expected to check-in, on the flip side it gave us time to take in the beauty of the lobby and enjoy live music. The staff was very nice, helpful and definitely tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They have a variety of dining options and The Pavillion is a must for seafood lovers.

Pros Elite Recognition: I stayed here in both June and July: In my 400+ night Marriott stays, I have stayed at most of Marriott's bucket-list properties such as St. Regis Maldives, Gritti Palace etc. Without a doubt each of these bucket-list properties have been exceptional in recognizing elite status and have gone above the requirements of the program during my stay. However, the hotel that has gone the most above-and-beyond in terms of Elite Recognition is the Al Bustan Palace from minor touches to major hospitality gestures. This hotel is the pinnacle of elite recognition and should be a case-study for Marriott on how to make their elites feel wow! As long as Marriott has hotels like the Al Bustan Palace delivering the experience that they do, elites like us will not even think of another program. Food and Drinks: Food and drinks were excellent all around. Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and options throughout the day such as the Afternoon Tea. Spa: The spa is excellent and the spa staff are very talented. Rooms: Excellent, spacious, well-designed rooms. Hospitality: The hospitality was excellent and room service was fantastic with respect to the needs of our party's three children catering to all requests with finesse. Areas of Development Bathroom upkeep is required. During my first stay, the body shower was non-functional. During my second-stay, both are rooms had issues with the bathtub such as the stopper on the bathtub not closing completely resulting in water drainage when trying to fill the tub.…

We are grateful to Munawar for the chocolate khanjar sent to the room as a reaction to my questions "how do locals celebrate Eid here?". Also, thank you for booking our sea trip at all your pieces of advice. Thank you, Shyam, and other room service guys who brought a flair of romance every night with red roses around the room and especially skillfully decorated bed. Thank you, Salim, and all guys at the restaurant for taking us to gastronomic trip across Oman, while we were sitting comfortably at out table at breakfasts and dinners. Thank you, chief, for that divine date pudding recipe that is meant to keep us happy home, and me personally in a better shape :-) It was also very thoughtful to remove, silently, the scales from our room (and stress from my head haha!) to ensure that nothing stands between us and pleasure. Positive points: - friendly staff - spacious - gorgeous views and beachfront Negative points: - executive suite with no to limited hot water in both shower and bath - broken TV - despite several attempts, staff was not able to fix the above to issues - overcrowded restaurant for breakfast; waiting time; messy service; noisy space - pool and sunbeds should be better cleaned Suggestion: - create an adult only pool to avoid kids noice ruining the couples relaxation moment by the pool

Visiting Oman for first time - describing the hotel visit in one word (I’m shocked) the service is just phenomenally Wonderful - the valet/concierge , check in, the Omani Coffee was just amazing, breakfast is delicious friendly service staff that energetic your day, Chef Christen made us feel home, food selection was perfect, The Blu Pool bar is distention you MUST visit, the Pool size, the view, the free sport water activities let you forget the time, a lot of memories to create, The pool service staff are the reason for you to stay, Mustafa the supervisor and his team Muhammad, Aden and Khen were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to details very approachable and know the city attraction and hotel facilities. Well what can we say? This hotel is absolutely amazing in every respect. We have been going in May over the last 10 years, and it never fails to be the most wonderful place. From the stunning reception area, (with its smell of frankincense), the grounds, the pools, the beach, the restaurant (al khiran) and every single member of staff we met were as good as it gets. We would like to give special mentions to members of staff who made it such a great stay; Starting at reception with Gulnaz who made us laugh so much, we cried, and brought frankincense to our room, and "21 Pilots" (you know who you are) who we talked about our love of music. To housekeeping; Nasir who kept our room as it should be every morning, and making us feel so welcome with his "Towel Art" and everyone who did the turndown service at night. To Meriem the restaurant host who, always remembered your name and room number, which is such a nice touch. To Mr Ali who has looked after us for years and treats us as family, and Najma who again has looked after us so well at breakfast for many years. To Mohammed (the new Mr Ali), who was the perfect host in the evenings. To the waiters Vidrenda and Nirmal, who were so attentive and made us feel so welcome, to all the chefs, especially Puneet who went out of his way to make us banana smoothies every morning, and all the chefs and other waiters who we do not know the names of, you are a credit to the hotel. To the pool guys who work so hard in the heat, being so attentive with the towels and making sure we had iced water. And to Marta the manager, who we had a wonderful chat with. Its first time for me at Albustan palace hotel actually it was amazing experience specially we visited Al maha bar I recommend this place for anyone if need to relax and listen to jazz music, and special thanks for the gentleman who served for us he was so kind and taking care of us thank u very much MOUSTAFA we will come back again and special thanks also for the bar man Dev the cocktails were amazing,, see u soon guys ❤️❤️

Our last day in Oman we just spent on the balcony. Although the mountains are stark, they have an incredible beauty against the turquoise blue of the Gulf of Oman. I have to admit, i was a bit leary to travel here but the Omani people are absolutely beautiful. Friendly, welcoming and engaging. Yet another wonderful opportunity to experience a very different and yet beautiful culture ❤️
