Great food, even better service. Thank you! The ambience is superb. The dal bukhara took me straight back to India. Getting authentic gulab jamun and Ras malai in Muscat is a delight. Dinesh, Sai and Rani were very courteous.
Recently stayed here for 2 days after staying at home for almost 4 months and I loved all their facilities, amenities and dining options. Our room was extremely comfortable, spacious and clean and they had taken great precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The view from the room’s balcony was also amazing and it was overall a very relaxing experience. Their food from Bukhara, Soi Soi and the Kitchen Restaurant was all very good. The staff is extremely polite and the hotel’s property is expansive and there are a lot of fun activities to do! I would definitely be back soon as their location is one of the best and they even have private beach access and many other things to do which is nice if anyone wants to go out of the house after being cooped up for so long and needs a sanitized and clean environment to enjoy in! 🇴🇲 I will definitely recommend it for a staycation for locals and also for tourists who will visit Oman once everything reopens! …
Overall our stay at the kempinski hotel was fabulous. We stayed for 7 nights on a half board basis. We booked executive room which allowed us access to the executive lounge within the business center. The exec lounge was very quiet but had great service from Evangeline. The executive lounge had an afternoon tea from 2pm - 4pm, this was quite good and was a help yourself type service, each day was different and the type of foods included bread, sandwiches, hot food(samosas and stuffed pastry), sweet pastries, small salads, fruit, nuts as well as water and juice. They then had a happy hour from 5pm-7pm which again was a self service. In the happy hour there was a cart which had a variety of wines and spirits such as Ketel one, hendricks, Bombay saphire, black label etc., we also requested soft drinks which they provided. The hotel has 5 Restaurants to choose from and we tried all of them, our favorite was Bukhara, we went twice in our stay and the service was good especially Dhinesh - I had the street food one night and that was very delicious. We weren’t a big fan of the countdown restaurant however the vibe was good. I loved the tom yum soup in soi soi, it was the best one I’ve had since going to Thailand in 2019. The service there was incredible and we went on opening night and still everything ran smoothly. The kitchen restaurant was where the breakfast service takes place, Susan was brilliant! - personally I thought the breakfast was a bit repetitive but was okay. We went to the kitchen twice for dinner whilst staying once for Asian night which was okay it had a good spread of sushi, curries and vegetarian Indian as well as the standard stuff. The second night we went was for seafood night which was amazing. Shiva was so attentive and does not deserve enough praise. The seafood night served crab, prawns, muscles, fish, sushi as well as the standard food. Zale we attended on our last night. Up to this point we had the perfect stay, however the service was awful. It was the only time in this hotel the service was bad. Whilst it was only the second night of opening, we felt uncomfortable with the staffs approach, even trying to take our plates whilst eating and cleaning the table whilst we we were still eating dinner. The pool staff were amazing and it was filled by nice touches such as ice cold bottles of water and infused water available. The pool was quiet which was also nice and the staff were so attentive making sure you were covered by the umbrellas throughout the day. Our housekeeper were also amazing - really attentive and whenever we requesting things it was almost immediate. We also had the Delhi high tea which was delicious and I would highly recommend. Overall our stay at the kempinski was made by the incredible staff, we would like to once again mention Gary, Susan, Abbas, Aakdar, Dinesh, Maryana and Sandeep. I would highly recommend this hotel.…
I have to say that before me and my wife left the UK for the Kempinski Muscat I was so looking forward to what I thought would have been a luxurious break for a week. On arrival to the hotel which was early we were greeted by the hotel reception and was advised that our room was ready which was a surprise as it was still quite early in the morning. When reception gave us our key cards and told us where the Kitchen restaurant was located for the breakfast and evening buffet we asked the reception if we could have breakfast to which they advised yes but you will have to pay for it which took me back a bit to be honest as this hotel is not cheap ( we did not bother but went to our room to unpack ).My wife advised me that we had a garden view room but this was not the case in fact we were facing a street where new apartments were being constructed. We did short tour of the hotel to get our bearings of where things were when my wife fell over an area where guests can sit down but my wife did not see the step the staff immediately came to see if my wife was ok and got the nurse to take a look . From a food point of view we were not aware that the Thai restaurant was closed for renovation which again i was looking forward to using however the usual buffet was on hand to accommodate the weary traveller . We were aware that there was an Indian restaurant within the hotel called Bukhara which we could use with our package where you can really get nice Indian food but watch out if you want to buy a beer it is very expensive. The restaurant guys advised us hat we could have soft drinks with our package which we did ( definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant ). The pool is nice and the pool guys even better for their service is spot from making sure you have water to even cleaning your sun glasses . Elderly guests wishing to walk from the pool to the beach would in my opinion need assistance as the steps from the pool level down to beach level do not have had rails. Went to Muttrah Souks to explore and shop and found it quite pleasant actually with no aggressive people in your face every couple of metres or so Finally on checking out a week later we were told by reception that we needed to pay for the soft drinks we had at the Bukhara which we disputed but they would not have it and said we must pay ( a little embarrassing when there are other guests around you and listening ) Finally reception got a manager to talk to us hoping this would resolve the issue but having a chat with manager who for some reason asked me if i could identify the waiter who said soft drinks were included in my package ( I did not know what o say but he looked like an Asian gentleman to me ) Finally the manager said they would not charge us for the soft drinks and that was the end of it. Overall in my opinion I did not think this hotel was 5 star and i thought that the hotel staff was probably still learning the trade.…
It's really amazing stay and exciting at the same time I' would like to thanks Mr Shadad the housekeeper for his efforts, concern and patience he is a such kind guy and very humble and my suggestion is to take care for him and develop his abilities to help him serving his facility very well. Regards,
The food was excellent and the staff friendly and responsive. We had the red curry duck and the sweet and sour chicken for main course and the mango sticky rice for dessert. The best Thai food in Muscat
Ashwarya was friendly and so cute . She recommended to us the dishes and they were extremely delicious 🤤. I loved the salad was mixed with mango, soya beans and avocado. I tried the prawns also as a starter. The main course- chicken briyani - was yummi.
Excellent service from Dhinesh and Bada. Delicious food , we enjoyed it. Bokhara restaurant has the finest indian food in Muscat. I would recommend it for all family and friends. The biryani chicken was perfect all together and the butter chicken spices was excellent too
We have stayed in the Kempinski hotel a couple of times and I can say that every time we leave we miss it and want to come back! The location is amazing and so are the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families. We have tried the Dippy's Summer Camp (kids club) for our 2 kids and they loved it. We would personally like to thank these staff members in the Dippy's summer camp by name as they have been amazing, they are: Minoosh, Khadija, Aseel, and Radhiya Thank you very much. And we will surely be coming back again!
