Detailed Reviews
Nice hotel which looks it had seen better times. Basic necessities missing in the room: no blanket , clogged sink, NO MIRROR IN THE BATHROOM, no glasses , no coffee making facilities.
The hotel itself looks nice and it has a nice pool and open spaces.
Pity the maintenance us so bad!

New wing is definitely much better with bigger rooms and wide hallways. New lobby was being constructed during my last January 2019 and would surely be a welcome addition to the property. Very close to the airport (5 mins.) and around 15-20 mins. to the city.

A very noisy hotel all night people talking in the corridors with the sound of voices including the service people talking on their appliances at the guest doors. We had no small towels of any kind and when we asked them to bring us they asked with their own eyes to see if the towels were missing and you were not lying. Don't trust guests. Stay away!

+1
The hotel welcomes you with its immense golden lobby and friendly front desk staff. The catch? It is an art gallery hotel. The paintings displayed are made by local artists of Isabela - Isabela Artist Circle. These masterpieces are actually for sale. If you're an aesthete who loves and appreciates works of art and beautiful things, there's no doubt you might bring home one.
The hotel room is equipped with a keycard. If you love a room with a man-size comfy bed and glass wall, Sophia hotel won't disappoint you. And yes, I am delighted with the bathroom setup. The space is wide enough for you to enjoy your shower. I personally love big and spacious bathrooms. It is a safe space where I can be myself and hold my concert (typically as a bathroom singerist). Don't worry about sockets. I found five universal sockets in my room strategically installed around the corners. That's a plus to Sophia Hotel, perfect for people who work and travel.
The room is furbished with wide cabinets. Hopefully, they'll upgrade with a hang rack on it. A room provided with WiFi, a Flat Screen TV with Netflix and a Hair blower installed in the bathroom, and a pair of disposable slippers.
If you plan to book here, don't forget those Hawaiian tropical clothes in your closet. Believe me, your instagrammable weekend trip is worth it. The Sophia Hotel is definitely on my list. Whether you are in a group or love to go solo, the Sophia Hotel experience is a staycation you'll also recommend.

I was transferred from L05 to L14 (both are ground floor rooms) because the faucet in my first room kept on leaking. While L14 had a pool view, the hotel management allowed use of pool until late in the evening, with loud music.
I was about to call the front desk to check what time the "pool party" would end, only to realize that the phone in my room was busted.
The room had no ref, toiletries, and bath mat. There was also no double lock for security. By the way, the sliding doors leading to the pool had no functioning locks. Hence, my room was technically always open and accessible.
The bed sheets appeared to have been recycled / unchanged since the blanket, bedsheets and pillows already had creases even before I used them.

Just had the worst hotel experience in this place. Small and poorly cleaned room, floor tiles not permanently attached to the flooring (posing fall / slip risk) , uncomfortable bed, lousy smelling linens and you will be kept awake by the noise from KTV room next to the guestrooms, which they rent out until 1:00 in the morning. Terrible!

Poor housekeeping, filthy room, linens do not smell fresh (especially the pillows). We came from a long-hour-bus trip and dead-tired of waiting for a cancelled coastal flight to push through, so we just shrugged off these lapses and hoped for a good night sleep in preparation for an early morning flight. Then the worst thing happened!!! A terrible noise from the KTV at the back of the guests rooms deprived us of the needed rest. Why would the management allow the use of a non-soundproof karaoke room near the guestrooms until the wee hour of 1am without considering there are inhouse guests who pay to get some quite time and a good rest? This property should decide if they want to run a boutique hotel or a karaoke bar. There are better hotels in the area, bigger rooms, clean and with cheaper rates. This one is absolutely terrible. The only advantage is the short distance to the airport.

We've been going back to Cauayan as a couple because of his work and we've almost been every hotel/motel in the city. We rarely go to regular checking in time and checking out time so we mostly prefer 12hours of stay just for sleeping and bathing. After 3 years of going back to Cauayan I have finally discovered one new hotel which is Hotel Sophia. The staffs were very accomodating even at first I dealt with them through phone only that was Mara, then I met Che both are charming and courteous. Though the first guard we met is not really good in assisting customer's re parking, he should have came out of the hotel to assist us when he saw us trying to look for parking. But he was okay in other aspect. The room we got was standard since we don't get out things inside because we have our car being used to store our things, so we just bring inside our personal belongings for safety. We wanted to try their food but they were closed when we got in and the chef was out. Too small bathroom for standard though yes it is for one pax but still very tight for one person. You can hardly stand up and the sink was too shallow, water would tend to go to your dress. Also their pillows is too small or rather useless. It is completely flat, you might one to invest in better pillow some guests are very specific when it comes to beddings. All in all, this hotel is still highly recommended its neat and homey. but BAD wfi... also bad signal of phone inside the room.
