We stayed at Hotel Andrea for three nights. It was a good enough hotel given it being inexpensive. But the prices do not include breakfasts, which you had to pay for and we thought was expensive compared to our rooms' price. Also, my colleagues stayed here previously and they said the food wasn't that spectacular. Service bordered between very good and average but the cleanliness was ok so I tended towards VG. Location-wise it was a short walk to the Church of Our Lady of the Pillars and, if it weren't so hot, you can walk to city hall or even SM. They could still definitely improve their facilities including soundproofing the rooms from the outside. There was a lot of noise because of the campaigns when we were there.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the upper floors. Noise proofing is not so good so quite noisy in the lower levels.

It is supposed to be one of the best , if not the best, in the city as of date. Popular people from celebrities to politicians prefer to stay in this hotel. The lobby looks good - small but presentable enough. far better than the ones in other hotels in the city, There is no elevator. Thus, my 70+ years old mother needed to use the stairs. My mistake for not checking that beforehand, We stayed in a room with 2 double-beds. It has a modern design, looks good, smells and looks clean when we arrived. There is a mirror and a dresser. The TV worked well. They provide free WIFI. The beds were comfortable. i love the quality of their pillows! They give complimentary water and coffee. To be improved: 1. The aircon unit was frustrating. the room is not getting cold, which turned out to be because of the dirty filters of the aircon unit. I didn't bother to request for cleaning since we arrived late at night and we are just staying overnight. No one also gave us a feedback form or satisfaction survey sheet. 2. The bathroom could be cleaned better. Molds in the tiles. The water overflows to the toilet area when you bath. 3. The soap and shampoo provided should be replaced with better brands. 4. i doubt the cleanliness of the electric kettle and glasses. But it is cheap for the above mentioned good stuff.

The hotel staff are very accommodating and helpful. The problem is the tiny bathroom where you only have around 20" of space.. If you don't use the shower curtain, the water will spill at the toilet area, where it doesn't have a drain. The grime and mold at the tiles of the bathroom should have been cleaned meticulously.

This place is really only 1 star but I've given it 2 for the excellent staff. From opening doors to timed room cleaning they really were excellent. Unfortunately the hotel rooms don't get 2. We booked the best room in the house the only executive suite. Big mistake. It faces the main road and due to only cheap single pane Windows it was like sleeping next to the motorway. On entering in the afternoon the heat from the afternoon sun shining through the Windows made it unbearable. The 2 aircon units are placed on the floor near the windows. Obviously another costcutting measure. This means you can't close the curtains without blocking the units. Ours were held on by selotape. You couldn't leave the lights on because apparently due to the time of year they got covered in flies. The bathroom was also sub standard. Shower was small and low and because it has some sort of rim around the bath the water went all over the floor. The wardrobe in the bathroom had 2 sides but you can only get into 1 because the sinks in the way. Good at the hotel restaurant though is excellent and worth a visit. Overall if you like very noisey rooms this is for you

I stayed there Feb 15th - Feb 24th. My first time in the Philippines. This hotel far exceeded my expectations! From booking to departure. Awesome and professional staff, friendly and very customer service oriented. I will definitely stay there again. Great value for the money. If I had to nitpick, there was a small leak in my room (105) between the shower and the floor. Nothing to concerning or troublesome. In-house restaurant food and service was also excellent!! Really, no complaints! And the location could not be better, very central, The hotel is also nice and quiet at night for sleeping.
