Yet another lovely weekend away at this hotel. Clean and large room, lovely breakfast and evening meal, very friendly and smiling staff - what's not to like?? As non-golfers, there was plenty to watch on the course from the table and chairs with a cup of coffee, either just outside of the bedroom or from the extensive patio area. Will hopefully be back very soon...

We were staying locally and wanted to play a pleasant golf course. We found a golf course that after this summer weather was in good condition and a fair test of golf with good greens. excellent par 3 on the front 9 with water at an intresting length. A fair green fee price with excellent informative staff, With pleasant service in the club room.

We stayed here for a week for a mixture of work, golf, wedding, and sightseeing. When we arrived the member of staff on the desk was really welcoming and helpful - a great start. Each member of staff after that - from the bar and restaurant team and others on the desk were fabulous. Everything was done with a smile, extra info about the area given, just lovely. We ate dinner here I think four times - the food was really nice and service spot on. The pizzas definitely exceeded my expectations. We had a room upstairs overlooking the course and this was perfect - you can see the sun set each night over the hills. There was a nice, deep bath and a separate decent shower. I had a golf lesson with the pro and he was really encouraging, friendly and gave great practical advice in a way that was easy to understand. The location is really convenient - close to Bodmin for shops and cafes and you have a choice of so many beaches within easy reach. Sometimes a week can be a long time to stay in one hotel, but this was just so nice and chilled it felt like a home away from home. I'll need to come back for work at some point and will certainly stay here again - and book in with the golf pro if I have time. Just needs a pool and I'd move in!

The staff were all so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were lovely and clean and a good size, overlooking part of the golf course on the ground floor. There wasn't any aircon but in hindsight we could have requested a fan. The breakfast was great - one of the best we've had included compared to most other hotels. We ate a lunch and dinner in the bar/restaurant and again, it was lovely food and good value. We'll definitely be returning!

We had booked a 2 night stay under the fish and fizz offer. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly and efficient reception staff, who gave us all the info we required and mentioned that there was a large booking for the evening restaurant which then gave us the opportunity to book at a quieter time if required. Our room (15) was on the ground floor overlooking the 18th green. The room was bright, clean and well fitted with a super bathroom, also as part of the offer there was fizz and chocolates waiting for us in the room. We ate on the first night from the menu and had a tasty, well priced meal served by excellent friendly staff. Afterwards we relaxed in the bar with well priced drinks. On our second evening we decided to make use of our free fish and chips , when mentioning this to the restaurant we were informed that if we preferred we could have anything from the main menu and just pay for any price difference between our choice and fish and chips, another lovely meal and great service. On the day of our departure we had our second breakfast, there was a large party also having breakfast and they were very hungry so the cold buffet was a little bare, the staff were soon on the case replenishing food and coming around offering hot pastries while they restocked. On leaving we settled our bill and were pleasantly surprised at the prices of food and drink. A great little break was had by us both and we look forward to returning and making use of the golf course which is in first rate condition,

The setting of the hotel was stunning, overlooking the beautiful course. The staff were very attentive and helpful. With the heat, fans were provided. Amenities in the room such as hair dryers, tea and coffee and iron and ironing boards on request. The buffet breakfast had a great spread from healthier to larger options. Our lunch order was processed quickly and delicious! All round fantastic stay and I would 100% recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at this Hotel and we cannot fault it . The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the shower was really hot and powerful with excellent water pressure. ALL of the staff were so kind and helpful , receptionists, pro shop staff and all the lovely young girls in the bar and restaurant. Nothing was ever any trouble and they were all so friendly and welcoming. We played the golf course twice during our stay and found it a joy to play there. It is an ideal base to explore Cornwall and some of the most beautiful coastline and bays are within easy reach of this Hotel.

Sunday carvery. We visited for Sunday lunch and were very impressed with the food and service. Lovely carvery with great selection of vegetables, beef was cooked perfectly. Our waitress and the carvery server were both friendly and polite, very accommodating. We then enjoyed a coffee on the lovely sunny terrace after our meal. This would have been a perfect 5* experience for us except when we got home and I saw the receipt I noticed we had been charged for an extra drink that we did not have. When my husband called to query this as we were already at home he was asked to come back! This would have cost as much in petrol as the extra drink. He did receive a call back later on where they refunded this but made a point of saying the waitress had gone home so couldn’t check? When we were waiting to pay another lady was querying desserts on their bill so I would suggest checking your receipt before leaving in future! This was a shame after a lovely lunch and I do appreciate mistakes easily happen, it’s how they are put right that can make the difference. We wouldn’t be put us off visiting again soon.
