Spent a night here earlier in the week. Pre booked and paid 5 weeks ago. Charged again on arrival although mistake corrected and refunded. Room nice but rest of Hotel tired and in need of refreshments, floor coverings paint, furnishings. Breakfast really tasty. Outside bar area had no functioning heaters that werent able to be fixed when we were there. All in all a nice location but attention to detail in terms of service and environment would need revisited before I would be tempted back.

Yes, like hundreds of others we experienced a miserable two days in the Stirling Highland Hotel. It is past It's best and a disgrace to continue in It's present deplorable state. But remember this hotel is owned by one of the UK's most profitable hotel groups. Make your real complaint to the Cairn group. Give them a hard time. Or just let your lost money go down the drain.

The hotel is in an unique and interesting building. Very historical! The public areas are fresh, bright and airy. Our bedroom was comfortable and clean although the bathroom was a little tired. The staff are extremely helpful and cheerful. The hotel is situated fairly centrally although it is a steep climb if on foot. The food at dinner was outstanding with a varied choice and generous helpings. We booked our break directly with the hotel and it was very good value. I have stayed before and will certainly return again.

The hotel is in a fabulous building, formerly a school and reminiscent of Hogwarts. The room was very comfortable and warm. We had an excellent lunch there but the breakfasts were just average which was particularly disappointing after the lunch. The staff were helpful and friendly, they deserve five stars.
