Booked last minute stayed Monday to Friday in lodge 2, Bulrush watersedge Very clean and lovely location, set back round a pond Very private hot tub and under cover which was fab when it rained Such a beautiful well kept park Lady on reception greeted us with a warm welcome Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation could not fault anything Ideal location within 15mins of Hornsea and Beverley Definitely recommend and cant wait to return
Our 2nd stay at this park the manager was superb big thank you and the staff were excellent nothing too much trouble Had a great stay and would definitely return excellent facilities Local to Beverley market and the coast also pubs and other shops across the road up the main street
We have stayed in these log cabins 2 or 3 times a year since 2010 and enjoyed some wonderful holidays, however our experience last week was disappointing. The last couple of stays we noticed that some of the furnishings were becoming 'tired and worn' but this time the state of the lodge spoilt our stay and we left early. There had been a repair made to the inside of the hot tub and it just looked looked like a grey, murky mess so we didn't want to use it. There was mould growing on the grouting of the shower cubicle and the stitching of the sofa was split so that the stuffing was coming through. It's a beautiful site and credit due to housekeeping and maintenance staff who work so hard but clearly there is investment needed to make this a top class site again. Sadly, after all these years we won't be returning…
Superbly presented park in a tranquil setting, let down by some poor lodge maintenance. We stayed for three nights in April (family of four with two dogs) in Lodge 16. The park itself is well presented - clean, well kept and an abundance of wildlife (rabbits and ducks). The lodge is as also very clean, spacious and warm. It is set on the waters edge, with French doors onto the decking and two huge windows. This means for a beautiful view of the lake and a chance to sit outside in the evening and enjoy the peace and quiet. Facilities in the lodge are good too - dishwasher, en-suite bathroom, TV in the main bedroom. It was also very easy to keep warm through an efficient central heating system. The hot tub is well kept and stays hot 24/7. Now for the bad points. One of the doors had cracked glass and was held together by duct tape! There was no warning of this even though I found out later the glass was “on order”. The bath panel is cracked despite enquiring months before booking and has still not been fixed. The knob has also been removed from the fireplace so it acts only as a fancy light and nothing more. It won’t put me off staying again but it certainly niggles when you pay a fair amount to stay.…
