The only one good thing I can say about this hotel is the staff are lovely . Room was awful the bathroom was modern because during lockdown they had done some work . Breakfast was disappointing . Pleased it was just for one night . Would not go back .

Hotel was clean, all staff friendly and good cooked breakfast. Had dinner in restaurant, with 15 people. Good choice of food, well cooked and presented in timely fashion, the young waitress was excellent and served us with a smile and kept us supplied with drinks all evening. Good value. Ron Singer

My husband and I had an overnight stay at the Dalgair. On arrival, we were welcomed by the friendly bar staff and locals, and had a couple of drinks before being shown to our room. It was obvious that the owner is upgrading the hotel but our room was warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The room and ensuite were very clean. Location is brilliant. Breakfst was very well cooked and well presented. Only one small thing...kick out was 10 am but it made us get out and about; strolled around the shops and fed the ducks. Upside; the bar opens again at 11 am, so we headed back for a couple of drinks before catching the bus home. Staff were very friendly and could not have done more for us. Thank you all so much and we will certainly be back. Cheers, Chris and Shell xx

Stayed in this hotel a good few times, generally the staff are nice but, The hotel has a very old interior and needs upgraded from the floor being sticky to most off the chairs needing recovered the only difference since our last visit was they had updated the bathrooms but the rest off the room is very dated from the flooring to the bedding , the bed was very uncomfortable and the kettle was filthy, the towels were not changed over our 2 night stay. Having been in the hotel all day and night on the first day and also after asking about entertainment for hogmany several times (where they usually have entertainment on) we were told they would try get karaoke etc organised which was fine if they couldn't their was darts board and pool table to keep the kids occupied aswell as music and television so we left it at that. So new years eve itself we sat in and play pool and darts and drink in the bar all during the day we then come back down from our rooms after we had been upstairs and got changed to bring in the bells, to then be told at 10PM kids had to be out of the downstairs area for 9PM as they were under 16 regardless if we were staying at the hotel but this wasn't mentioned to us the previous night when the kids were downstairs after 9pm and this was never an issue any other time we have stayed previous so we then had to go upstairs to our room and bring in the bells with a telly that wasn't working properly. Also the first morning we went down for our breakfast which we were told would be at 9am when we got downstairs we were left standing on the cold stairway for 15 minutes as their was no staff on the premises. This was an unnecessary inconvenience , if we knew we were going to be in this position especially at hogmanay we wouldn't have booked to stay.
