Our room was rather compact but was very nice, we felt the small table could have been removed along with the large standing lamp giving a bit more room, it had a full length mirror which was great and had plenty of power points in convenient spots plus a coupe of charging points. On one side the dresser was too close to the bed and my partner worried about turning over and hitting his head. The breakfast room was lovely, light and airy, good decor and loved the chairs. Waiting staff were very good. We made use of the outdoor seating area for drinks each evening which was very nice. All staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to stay

Can not fault this hotel enough, the hotel itself is lovely and enjoyed the breakfast and when my parked car was hit they did everything they could to help, including a free double vodka to get my nerves under control. The staff are so friendly and go over board to help

My partners mum stayed here for a few nights with her grandaughter , who cares for her. When making the booking they made the hotel aware that she was less abled and suffers with mobility issues but this wasn’t accommodated for, they were offered no help with their luggage leaving her grandaughter to struggle with numerous bags and her Nan in the chair. on the first night they were left without hot water so unable to have shower, they were then moved to another room which wasn’t in great condition. The final nail in the coffin was the fact that the hotel took further money out of my partners mums account without her authorisation as they had supposedly damaged the mattress and this meant the room was out of action for the following night but the mattress was already damaged prior to them staying. This has left my partners mum distressed and upset and as someone recovering from from brain injury/surgery this isn’t acceptable, I definitely will not be recommending this hotel to anyone

Good position. No parking but we knew that. Nice hotel, a bit dated, small room and really not worth the £135 a night. Towels weren’t changed even though we left them in the bath. Tea tray wasn’t replenished. And mattress could do with replacing - was very thin. 2 key cards would have been ideal, being as one had to be in the slot ok the wall for the electrics to work. So when my husband went out and I had a bath. He had to take the key so I had no lights on. Breakfast was good but no lattes or cappuccino available, only instant coffee. For the money they charge I’d have expected more. The breakfast supervisor with dark hair was lovely though. On the second night the hotels pub customers were out on the terrace for over 3 hours - until midnight - screaming and shouting. We called reception to ask at what point would they be asked to quieten down - to the response, “Well no one else has complained !” We checked out after 2 nights and went somewhere else for less than half the price but much nicer. We would have spoken about our issues to the young man on reception to try and resolve it had he bothered to even ask how our stay was, but he didn’t.

We stayed as a group of 12, rooms were slightly dated but lovely and clean, breakfast was spot on. The main reason for this review is the staff, they were really exceptional, nothing at all was too much trouble. Bobby the manager was brilliant. Will defo stay again. Thanks again
