Dirty, dangerous and in need of knocking down. The reception didn't ask our names and just gave us keys obviously assumed who was checking in. It was dirty and grubby from the entrance. Me and work colleague stayed here for one night. Single deluxe they are called, should be single sxxtholes. Both our rooms were dirty and dangerous. Mini floursent lights with the metal ends exposed (you know the live bits). My room had something growing below the sink, the window was so dirty I first thought it was a screen to stop people looking in, no it was just dirty. The remote for TV looks like it came from when heavy smoking was allowed. My work colleague had a look at the pool and said it was a disgrace, dirty and looks like it would probably kill you. Whoever these people are writing 5 stars are either fakes or need an eye test. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Their website says its where you holidays dreams start, the must of mixed up dreams with nightmares.

We have nothing but good things to say about this stay! After reading reviews beforehand it always leaves us on edge but this stay has impressed us very well; The staff were very welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to deal with any queries. Our room (no33) was perfect for a family, nice and quiet & the mattress were even better. A double, a single plus bunk beds & spotless bathroom. The morning breakfast was ideal too and plenty to choose from. The tables were set out perfectly giving us all space and the food was ready within minutes. We would like to say a big thank you & well done to the team considering they were short of stock and staff, we will see you again!

Room small and en-suite too small, curtains have been up since before lockdown, mattress stained, dust on top of wardrobe. One set of towels for two people, 3 pillows ( I did ask for more ) Reviews say Jackie was friendly but didn’t meet anyone as no one introduced themselves or greeted us . I’m from the north east and I know it takes nothing to be nice and welcoming, which would have made a difference. ITS CHEAP BUT NOT CHEERFUL AND TO BE AVOIDED A LITTLE BIT OF TLC WOULD GO A LONG WAY One good thing …. Children will love the outdoor swimming pool and it’s heated . Breakfast was ok but only served for one hour from 8-9 am The domestic staff were helpful .

On arriving at the hotel the reception area wasn't very welcoming. There's no lift operating and we were on the second floor and the stairs are quite steep not recommended for the elderly and not wide enough for two people passing especially with social distancing. The room was clean and tidy, however the shower needs updating as it wasn't very efficient ie it ran either hot or cold no happy medium unfortunately. The breakfast area was very well organised with spaced out tables. Breakfast consists of cereals, fruit juice, toast and preserves however there wasn't any fresh fruit available which was a pity. The cooked full English was ok but no mushrooms and the vegetarian option was two eggs ,two hash browns and a boiled tomato the non vegetarian consists of one egg one small sausage and two slices of bacon hash browns and tomato and baked beans on both. There is a licensed bar opening times at 4pm till 10pm. Added bonus of a heated outdoor swimming pool great for children

Pros first.. Very near beach, lovely efficient staff at breakfast with choice of cooked breakfast, cereal, and coffee, toast replenished as requested, Jackie who oversaw breakfast was super. Bed comfy and nice clean linen, towels changed daily. Cons.. Well bedrooms were small, and all needed updating, our room had a dirty wall from coffee stains and bath needed resealing, bit grubby generally. Steep stairs upto rooms which if old or disabled would be a massive issue. Swimming pool could so easier be a plus but it was dirty and unkempt. The biggest issue was the staff on reception, bar who lacked any hospitality at all, despite it being advertised as having entertainment (it didn't) the bar shut one night at 10pm and another at 11pm without any warning with people still socialising. This could be a little gem of a place but sadly is being let down by lots of things that could be corrected.
