Stayed on a Friday night, from walking in to the pub to check out we were made to feel welcome.Room 1 was clean and shower great. We had food on the evening and breakfast the next morning, both were freshly cooked, tasty and well presented. Bar staff couldn't do enough especially the young lady who checked us in, we would recommend a stay here and will try here first next time we are in Scarborough, thanks to all staff

Great family friendly pub, excellent for watching football. Lots of screens. Great basic pub food at a reasonable price. Staff really friendly and helpful. Easy parking on the street. Highly recommended.

We only came here for a couple of drinks as we were in the area and it was a good place to be. It was very comfortable inside which we enjoyed and would certainly come here again and probably eat if we're in the area.

I’d messaged The Albert ahead of time to ask if they catered for Gluten Free on Sundays. I was told they had a family member with celiac so they knew about it & the importance of cross contamination etc. We booked. When we arrived the owner Pauline stated they’d made GF Yorkshire puddings especially for me & id be brought my own gf gravy. I was told what I could have from the Carvery (everything but the stuffing & cauliflower cheese) and so we got drinks and got in the queue! I was offered all 6 gf puddings! I had 3 with tender pork, roast potatoes, mash, carrots, cabbage & could barely move afterwards. There was a jug of gf gravy put on our table just for me. Pauline & the other staff could not have more friendly, accommodating and helpful. I was so happy as it’s the first time since being diagnosed with Celiac that I’ve been able to have Sunday lunch out. If you want a luscious Sunday dinner you’ll need to book but it’s worth it! We’re definitely going back next year.
