Booked online direct with the hotel and we were kept updated until our arrival. Absolutely lovely hotel and and a very warm welcome on our arrival. We had a very spacious room and it was spotless clean. All of the staff were very pleasant, professional and helpful. It was our first time in llandudno but will definitely return and the St. George Hotel will be our first choice.

Walked in and waited for over 20 mins at door to be met by three staff who ignored us , we were popping in for drink and to aquire any rooms available , after king wait the waitress came and asked us what we wanted and she spoke to her head staff who blanked us more than once before then said sorry residents only , so we left Fair play sort staff out , apart from that it looked lovely building and decor

I visit Llandudno every year to see old friends, with it being my birthday I thought I would treat myself to some extra luxury and overall I was not disappointed. Having booked well in advance the rate was around £180 a night for a sea view bedroom with separate lounge. I’d emailed the hotel a week before to advise I would be arriving past 9pm, which on arrival wasn’t an issue, the very attentive chap on reception said they had been expecting me, what would have been handy is if the email I’d sent to the hotel the week before had been replied to just so I knew it was noted. I’d been up since 3.30am so was ready for bed and had a great nights sleep, a king size bed, made of 2 singles, which is not uncommon, the only niggle was the topper didn’t too the king so you could find your way down the join of the 2 singles. Very clean room with plenty of quality touches, super large TV, a well stocked hospitality tray, lovely towels and good quality Elemis toiletries, I would recommend the tiles in the shower have a deep clean as they are very mould impacted, which detracts from the otherwise sparking bathroom. So I’d booked a sea view it was lovely the pier, the beach and the overall bay, the weather was great all weekend so I got plenty of enjoyment drinking my tea and watching the world go by on the promenade each morning. Due to being on the 3rd floor though the only way to get the sea view is by standing up, fine for me, but If I’d wanted to sit down and admire the view I would have been very disappointed as all I’d of seen is the room wall as the windows are at height, it does say this in the room specification so I was aware, but it isn’t written that clearly so I can see how previous reviewers have fallen foul. My room had a separate lounge, whilst I did book this, it was pointless really. as it consisted of a sofa , TV and side table, its clearly historically been a bedroom, the sideboard boast the hospitality tray drawer even. It either needs to be a bedroom (family room config) or a properly appointed lounge (it lacks finer lounge furnishing detail) currently it is neither, personally I would imagine more revenue would be achieved for the hotel marketing it as a family room, rather than a sea suite with lounge as I didn’t see that it commanded the rate value of a lounge. Breakfast was a feast, staff in abundance, which they were all over the hotel and I didn’t find any one who wasn’t polite, they all seemed to be working well as one team with a clear objective of great customer service. Good quality pastries, cereals, tea, juices and hot buffet, I can’t imagine anyone could not find something that they could enjoy from the breakfast line up, indeed you could also request other items such as smoked salmon, eggs Benedict etc direct from the kitchen. Overall a super place to stay, one that I would definitely return to, although I would book a sea view room not a suite and save myself some money, the 2 points that stopped me from making this a 5 star review were the dirty tile grout in the shower and the sea view that I had to stand up for, otherwise a great 3 nights.

Room Tip: If you want a sea view to enjoy from your chair avoid the 3rd floor the windows are too high.

Decided to visit our favourite hotel yet again before winter sets in. Only downside in my opinion were the triple cooked chips. Whatever happened to good old fashioned chips. Staff were great as always even those new to the hotel. Room clean and tidy food very good. Nor normally a seafood person but the seafood salad was excellent.
