I will start with the good points. Hotel is in a good location and clean. Breakfast is average, not a very good selection on offer the scrambled eggs were made in microwave and tinned mushrooms. Which i don’t expect in a hotel. I don’t eat meat so can’t judge the full English. Coffee was instant and not good quality. Would have been nice to have been asked if we wanted any more toast or drinks. Staff were quite friendly in the breakfast room. Do not be fooled by the large car park as advertised as it was a difficult to get a space as the staff take up a lot of the spaces. For the first three days we had to keep moving cars after asking the 2 girls on reception numerous times if there was any room. One of the girls told me staff parked there. When I questioned this she said where else would they park if not there. Eventually we got a space on day 3. I am all in favour of being in a COVID safe environment but this hotel has chosen to not service the bedrooms. You are given a plastic pen to mark on a board what you require in the way of towels etc. You are provided with the cheapest quality polystyrene cups which are absolutely awful. I wrote on the board for proper cups which did not arrive until I asked at reception. I asked for more shower gel twice that did not arrive either. You have to empty your own waste bins and receive a bin bag outside your door with your towels in daily. If you can service my breakfast table why can’t you service my room. My sister stayed at St Tudno at the same time as us and had wonderfully serviced rooms, luxury biscuits, chocolates on the pillows and China cups and she paid the same price as we did. If they are allowed to service the rooms why can’t this hotel or give a discount for lack of service. The 2 receptionist staff could do with some hospitality training. No good morning when you walk past and lack of helpfulness over the parking. I wouldn’t recommend staying after seeing a much better hotel in operation.
