Firstly let me give credit where credit’s due. Lewis who hosted me was fantastic, with a wealth of local knowledge and he was genuinely happy to help. The breakfast was tasty, hot and filling. The bedroom had a lovely sea view and comfortable bed. Unfortunately for £100 a night I found Shoreline a little disappointing and expensive, granted the view from my room was nice but I found the room decor/furniture and bathroom very basic and in need of some updating and tlc. There were large piles of bags stacked up everywhere as I left my room which I can only think were full of linen, which looked messy. The breakfast room was chaotic with mess everywhere which again, really let’s Shoreline down. I had to move some dishcloths off the windowsill in front of me before I had breakfast, it just needed a thorough clean and tidy up and a lick of paint to freshen things up. I’m unsure if this chaos was due to covid but presentation and creating a lovely atmosphere is important to me whilst I’m away and unfortunately Shoreline lacked in that. Potential to be really lovely! But it definitely needs some love and attention put into Shoreline to raise the bar.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Freshly decorated and lovely and clean. We had the double room with a sea view. We had a table and chair in the window so I could sit and look at the sea. Lewis is very friendly and helpful with advice about where to visit. The full English breakfast is amazing. If you have a room at the top there are a few stairs to go up. Also if you have a room at the front it can be a bit noisy sometimes at night outside but the windows have good insulation. We had a lovely weeks stay here. The Mumbles has lots of different places to eat and a pier. The beach isn’t really for sunbathing on but there are quite a few within close proximity to do that. A few castles to visit nearby and beautiful Rhosilli within half an hours drive.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying at Shoreline Mumbles Hotel. The owners were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. They suggested some great places to visit in Mumbles and around the area. They also cooked us a delicious breakfast which we really enjoyed! We would come again!

Lovely clean bright room, friendly helpful staff and awesome breakfast. The hotel is in a brilliant location too. It made a real change to be in a hotel that had some personality, rather than the big chain hotels.

Family run business. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were very accommodating to our vegan diet. The room was a good size and was spotlessly clean. The en-suite was a tad on the small size but was manageable. Great location and just a short walk to Mumbles Pier and Bracelet Bay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
