Dined here with my daughter on our first night in town at the end of December. They didn’t have tables available at the time but suggested we can wait at the bar (across the hallway) for maybe 15 minutes but only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. Easily transferred drink bill to dining room. Nice menu and very nice service from everyone we encountered. I had a nice soup along with a steak. Daughter enjoyed her steak as well but…medium rare in Europe is probably a little too rare for her. Something to consider everywhere in Europe as beef often cooked slightly less than in USA. Enjoyed a white Austrian wine before dinner and a red at dinner. Fun time and would return.

My wife and I have just returned from a few days in Salzburg and during our stay we dined twice at this wonderful restaurant. The restaurant sources its own meat from fresh livestock near the castle and locally caught fish from the Salzach river. The beer is supplied directly from Hofbrau Munich and there are exquisite wines from Austria. The food here is absolutely superb and the restaurant manager - Floriun was so helpful and professional and made each night so much fun! Nothing was too much trouble for him - thank you Floriun! The restaurant itself is on the ground floor of the hotel here situated in Linzer Gasse. I highly recommend this restaurant to you as the overall quality of the freshly sourced food, the food preparation, the drinks and wonderful service are absolutely superb!!

We stayed the first weekend in December on their busiest holiday weekend. The stuff was fantastic and always very pleasant. Check in was super fast and Anna was great. The rooms are typical for Europe, not particularly large and air conditioning is by opening a window. The location is hard to beat in the middle of everything south of the river. The walk from the parking garage was less than 10 mins and flat. Breakfast every day was great. The eggs tasted farm fresh and the staff remembered what we liked the next day. Other than the eggs it was a standard Euro breakfast. The bar was busy in the weekend and loud but we didn’t hear anything in our room (we were on the top floor). The elevator was small but was quick. The restaurant usually needs reservations on the weekend. This is one of the better value hotels in Salzburg.

Small and classy, set in an older building with traditional woodwork. Located on lively Linzer Gasse, just across the bridge from the main sites of Salzburg and minutes south of Mirabell Palace and gardens. Lot's of authentic charm on this pedestrian-only street, too.

We just checked out after a three-night stay. The hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian street, convenient to all the sights and nestled amongst bars, restaurants and shops. No need for a car and despite warnings to the contrary, cabs can travel the street and take you directly to the front door with your luggage. The room was very nice in traditional decor with plenty of room and a double-sink in the bathroom. The breakfast was traditional with meats, cheeses, fresh bread and rolls. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and the restaurant (not associated with the hotel) was very good for dinner. Highly recommend.

We really liked this hotel. We stayed here for four nights and the location was right in the city with bars and restaurants only steps away. The staff was great from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had on our travels: it’s a small hotel so the breakfast area is not crowded or hurried. The staff brought us a plate of hams and cheeses to start us off then cooked our eggs to order. The rest of the buffet was self serve. Everything was delicious. The room was decent size and comfortable. Big recommendation.

This was a great place to stay as it was in walking distance of the river so it was easy to cross into the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to get a coffee and many of these were small independent coffee shops around.

Nice hotel in the heart of activity in old town. Hotel has Tyrolean feel. Our room was clean, quiet, had AC and was comfortable. Breakfast was included with eggs made to order. The restaurant and bar are closed on Sun & Mon, but many other places to try right outside the door.

Perfect hotel for a short stay. The room was comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities we needed and more. We booked a standard apartment which we were told didn’t have air-con upon booking but in fact the room we were in did have it which was a welcome bonus. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful, as were the restaurant staff who managed to fit us in for dinner despite it being busy and us not having a reservation. The food was tasty and good value. Great location to explore all of Salzburg and we enjoyed walking out of the hotel terrace up to the viewpoint over the city. We’d definitely return!

Located in the heart of the pedestrian district. Good size rooms with 2 double beds connected to function like a king bed. The room has air conditioning, a safe and a refrigerator. When we arrived there were local chocolates on the bed. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, speaking fluent English and helping bring bags in. A very good breakfast is included, they will even cook eggs for you. They have fruit, yogurt, breads, meat and cheese plate, and an automated expresso machine. There is an elevator in the hotel. You do have to navigate a couple stairs to get to the reception, they did help with the luggage. Some rooms have a few steps up or down from the elevator, ours did not. Taxis can take you directly to the hotel. If driving privately there is a public garage a short walk away.
