I spent two days to explore the beautiful city of Luxembourg. This hotel is located almost in the centre of the city. I understand some people complain about the noisy bar, but my room on second floor was quiet. Room was clean but rather dated. Unfortunately, the shower was only cold on my first day. I told the staff and they fixed it, but the next morning it was cold again. I told the staff again, but I even had to pay for the cup of coffee I took at the bar. One can expect a bit more for EU 85 a night.
This hotel shares the same building as a bar, so it can be very noisy at night. The room is very old without AC, with a fan that is not enough to cool the heat. Shower is extremely small, and the room can really use some cleaning. But I cannot complain considering it was the only option within the budget. I think there are better options on AirBnB with the same price, but if you want to seek a real hotel with a front desk (which shares with the bar), this hotel is for you. Staffs are friendly. This is just a very old hotel (with noise). That's all.
The hotel is basic and suited us for a budget two-night stay. The reception staff were perfectly fine. To get to the room you must walk up a few flights of stairs. There's no elevator. The room was dated but clean and comfortable enough and it was not too noisy. There were plenty of towels, a hairdryer, a TV, soap, and good WiFi. There is no AC so the room could get hot. The location is excellent. It is two minutes from the central station by walking. We did not feel the area was unsafe. We have stayed in worse and better places for this price but it served us well for a place to sleep on a budget. Would stay again if it was still the cheapest place.
Noisy, old, no comfort. My credit card was fully charged when I made the reservation a month prior the trip, but had to paid cash the full price again at checking. Now fighting to get my money back. The room was above the hotel bar. Noisy until late. Impossible to sleep. Loud music. Close to trains station.
It's a true lovers hotel, a movie-like experience for those who like unique life events. It's comfortable enough, tidy and clean, but it has that old trashy look and a light that keeps buzzing when it's on, which I learned to find cute. Our room also has a safe that has no doors xD pointless And it also doesn't have any shampoo and stuff But again it's a real special kind of sensation and vibe you get from it and I would gladly come back :)
Stayed here for just one night and didn't experience any trouble. I did notice that the hotel is connected to a bar downstairs and there was no elevator so we had to drag our heavy luggage up to our rooms. Staff was friendly even though struggling with English, we understood each other. Being a weekday, there were no more customers in the bar when we come home at 11pm after sightseeing & dinner, so it was already quiet. The room looked like a Motel 6 room (from USA) but smaller, and is generally OK with complete amenities - TV, wifi, hairdryer, heater... of course the room does not look new but generally clean. We had an OK sleep and had to check out early the next day.
I would not recommend this location at all, it was the worst experience ever. I was so scared listening to people screaming, breaking bottles... it wasn't a regular party. Also, there was no elevator, so it was hard to take my luggage up. The only good thing about this place was the girl on the lobby who was very kind!
Not sure how I booked this place. Obviously had a brain fade and didn't read the reviews.. This hotel is smack bang in the middle of the seediest area you could imagine. Red light district in the back streets near Luxembourg station. Hotel itself is clearly budget targeted. Can't actually complain that much about the room or cleanliness for the price bracket it is in. Lack of lift is a problem if you have significant baggage. But surrounding area is very noisy, seedy and not very pleasant to walk through. My advice is to avoid any hotel in this area, unless you are after that sort of thing.
First this is not a hotel that cater for tourists that are looking to stay a few nights and explore Luxembourg. This is a hotel for anyone who needs to stay close to the train station because they either have to take an early train the next morning or getting in late at night. Having said that a one night stay is all you should spend. The hotel is situated on a street that’s clearly not in a good area. If you are a female and you are traveling alone, this is NOT the hotel for you regardless of how inexpensive this hotel is. The room is not very clean. We luckily brought our own slippers so we didn’t have to walk on the dirty carpet. The bathroom was ok. Nothing scary crawling around so that was fine. I’ve got to say though. It served our purpose. We knew this hotel wasn’t a Ritz Carlton when we booked it so we had very little expectations. We needed a hotel for a one night stay that was close to the train station and this was the only choice available that very night. If you are planning to visit Luxembourg for a vacation, stay away from this hotel.…
It was ok. The service is ok, the price is reasonable, good size of room, near the centre and restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful as we asked them on how to go to tourist attractions. It was cleaned daily, which is important to me.
