I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg while attending conference at Luxembourg University. Initially I was concerned regarding commuting, but thanks to the proximity of Dommeldange train station reaching university was not problem at all. Train station is only around 10 minutes away if you walk and walking path is partially through the park. Alternatively I was catching the bus number 32 having stops directly in front of train station and hotel entrance in which case it was less than 5 minute ride. As a plus, I had a feeling that bus and train schedule was synchronized with not much waiting being needed. The location of a hotel in the forest made possible both to have nice views from practically all rooms and at the same time to be able to spend pleasant time while walking in the forest. Nice fitness center and large swimming pool with opening hours that fit exceptionally good business travelers made possible to relax after long working day and prepare for next day. During the stay I also used internet for having business remote calls without any issues. Therefore I can recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg to all business travelers trying to have accommodation that make possible also to relax after long working day. I will definitely come back.…

I like this location as it is pretty easy to access down town and spear heads to several attractions like Grund, trier … with car.. surrounded by woods and fresh air are definitely another plus points

The stay was enjoyable. However, the temperature control in the room does not work properly. There is also a lack of food options if you stay for more than a week and same breakfast is served everyday. However, the variety and quality of food at the breakfast is amazing. Concierge service is not available all the time and if you have a lot of luggage, it is a struggle.

We stayed here for one night while visiting the Christmas market. It was a good value, including breakfast. The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very busy, and the food wasn't replenished quickly enough to keep up with demand, but the wait staff was incredible at clearing and turning the tables. Would stay here again.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, especially as when we arrived we paid to upgrade from a King Superior to a King Suite Separate Bedroom and Small Kitchen for our two night stay for an extra £60 in total (so definitely worth asking what’s available). It was also my Mum’s birthday and so appreciated the free drinks voucher we received. We actually liked the location - it is further out but there are regular buses (which of course are free) and the bus stop is right next to the hotel so it was a nice way to see more of the city. It was also only a short bus trip to the train station for our day trip to Vianden. The swimming pool was nice but no robes in the room and no functioning lockers did make things a bit difficult. Dinner in the restaurant was nice and the prices were reasonable for Luxembourg but whilst breakfast had a good variety, the quality was lacking (also the coffee was poor). We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff and checked in without issue. This property is dated and in some areas the years are starting to show. Our room was great a suite with a mini kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was excellent. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries. Breakfast had a nice assortment and the food was pretty tasty. Service was excellent. We intended to stay for a couple days but I got sick. The staff made an appointment with a local doctor and scheduled a taxi pickup. They took the initiative when we explained the situation. We ended up staying an extra 4 nights and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend this property

A great hotel . Room is spacious . Breakfast is excellent . bus is very close which is convenient . The only thing is that there is nothing close to the hotel within walking distance. The view from your room is nice

Unfortunately, the Hilton Double Tree Hotel in Luxemburg is not to be recommended. Although the rooms are spacious, they are old, run down and not very clean. The quality of the matrasses is bad (way too hard) and the breakfast is a disaster as way too many people in a breakfast room that is pretty small, there is not enough food and even the coffee is so bad you don't want to drink it.... So, all in all, it's a real pity but if possible, pls go to another hotel if you can.
