This Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Valletta's historic centre. My room was spacious and quiet with a bathroom finally having a sufficient size compared to the other Inn visited in Malta.Breakfast, decent without more, is not taken at the hotel but in a cafe located a little further down Strait street. The room was very clean and the bedding impeccable. A downside though with the television. The screen is a 55" 4K and the channels are accessible via the internet. All this is very well, however, the connection to the server was quite random. Sometimes it worked but often it didn't.

The location of the hotel is great, right next to the Grand Master's palace, excellent for sightseeing. Our room was in the back, so we did't experience noise, but I guess it's noisy in the front. They gave us a room in the back right above the ventilators, even though I asked for a quiet room because of a baby. Changed it after one night, it was ok after that. It was pretty clean, the housekeeping lady was nice, but one day they didn't change our towels and coffe cups we had to go to the reception, the man who was cleaning that day gave us new ones after intervention. The reception staf was nice and friendly. Breakfast was ok, the food was good quality but poor choice. It is located 5 min from the hotel, not far, but be prepared to walk and it is a bit steep when you go back to the hotel. Not in the direction of atractions. They have buffet and a la carte but when you order a la carte be prepared to wait. One morning we waited for 40 minutes. The other 30minutes. Coffe was ok.

Such a beautiful hotel in the centre of Valletta, situated down Old Theatre Street. Gorgeous views of The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel outside on the balcony too. The rooms were exquisite, both the large double bed and sofa were comfortable, and I loved the marble flooring throughout the room. Reception staff were very friendly, said hello and goodbye every time we entered or left the building. Always there if we needed any help. Breakfast was located at a nearby restaurant, not even a 5 minute walk away. Enjoyed breakfast being in a separate place as it meant you were up and out ready to start your day as soon as you'd finished eating. Will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future.

The hotel absolutely does not deserve the stars it boasts, at most it is a 2 star. First of all, breakfast is not served in the structure but, by agreement, in a room located 150 m away. away, and this is not specified in the hotel description (among other things with shortage of sweet products). There isn't even a bar in the hotel, or rather it should be next to the (small) roof terrace but we found it closed, nor are there any other common areas. The mini-reception is not open 24 hours a day as it should be in a 4 star hotel, but only from 7.30am to 9.30pm. Our Standard room was terrible as it had a window facing the back, onto a tiny courtyard, with the high wall of the building in front about 1.5m away. of distance!! It is better to keep it open as little as possible due to bad odors coming from the exhaust fans in the rooms located below. Lastly, the bathrobes and hairdryer were missing, which are instead mentioned in the room description sheet. Hotel to absolutely avoid!

I was between a couple of hotels in valetta. One I had decided against and it was cheaper, not by much however over 5 nights I chose the De Vilhena Boutique Hotel. Imagine much to my surprise the name had changed The Manoel Boutique Hotel. I have a preference for a tub which is why I didn’t originally book it, I also wanted an airport transfer which the hotel arranged the first one and I was given a taxi ride and loose directions it is around the corner. Check in is important and I believe the horrendous reception colored my experience. The desk clerk was beyond rude, clearly hated his job, wore so much cologne I had to shower after being around him and I had to open the window after he was in the room. I am not sensitive to smell. Breakfast was good again not in the hotel a short walk into another building. Very simple directions could have made this stay so much better. Most of the time front desk was not manned when it was the girls that were there were lovely, and helpful. I did communicate on the first day how rude the gentleman was and they had heard it before. The location was great, but customer service poor when he was there. Toiletries first day, not replenished throughout stay, also the television was not working. No televisions were working in the whole property also roof deck was closed. Bed was great, location was great, breakfast buffet definitely not traditional but was interesting and filling.

To start with the positives: the hotel is centrally located and the staff is friendly and does their best customer service, the bed is comfortable. For the rest, I felt the description of the hotel is deceiving and I was extremely disappointed with my weekend stay.
I paid for a Double Deluxe room and I was placed in a Standard room. I was told the room could not be changed because the hotel was fully booked. I am not sure what makes this a boutique hotel, as there is not one thing luxurious or unique about the hotel and the rooms. The room I was given was very small and I did not feel it was over 20m2. And there is not much light coming into the room (on the 3rd floor) so the lights were even necessary during the day.
I received multiple emails before my stay asking what time I would arrive. And when I arrived at the advertised check-in time the room still was not ready. The room was so dusty, literally dust balls everywhere even the curtains. Paint was chipping away from the walls so that also contributed to the dust. The robe was frayed which I found unprofessional. Every single noise inside the hotel and outside the hotel can be heard in the room. So, the soundproofing advertised does not exist. Also my key did not work correctly and there was no one at the front desk when I returned to change the key. This meant the electricity in the room would automatically shutoff if the key budged from the exact position in the wall access.
The room key and the light fixture were fixed the next day. Of course there was a cleaning the next day but there still dust balls especially on the curtains and behind.

The services advertised on the internet are false (No safe, no breakfast on site, no French-speaking receptionist....) The worst is the soundproofing of this establishment. The room overlooks a very noisy street: a lot of noise in the evening (cafes and restaurants below) and early in the morning 'hell of noise' because a college is located opposite on the same level. At this price we are entitled to other services! . Too bad because the city is magnificent.

Located right on the center of Valletta, only a few minutes walk from the main attractions of this city. The terrace has a beautiful view of the Basilica of Our Lady of Mt Carmel. Aside from a very accommodating staff, facilities are well maintained and clean. Regarding the breakfast, it takes place not in the hotel but in a restaurant about 2 minutes walk away.

We, friends, arrived at the Hotel Manoel at night. A very friendly, likeable young man greeted us at reception. We even had a choice of rooms, as it was winter and the hotel was not fully booked. He gave us lots of information and waited patiently for us to decide which room we wanted. The hotel is small with large rooms, some with balconies. From the roof terrace you have a fantastic view of the dome of the Carmelite Church in Valletta. As soon as you step out of the hotel you are in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Valletta. Everything was within walking distance. After 5 days at the hotel we can say that almost all the staff are friendly and helpful. There was only one dispute with an unfriendly and not very cooperative female receptionist with the first name K., after there was no breakfast offer.

A centrally located gem. Couldn't be closer to all the sights but the hotel was a little oasis of calm. Good sized rooms, comfy beds, very fluffy bath robes, brilliant shower. Just what you need after a lot of walking round Valletta. WiFi was included and fast. Breakfast, also included, was delicious including cold and hot options. And cannot praise the reception staff enough. Beyond helpful! Have already recommended to other friends going to Malta later this year.
