Excellent experience! We will stay here again on our next trip to Iceland. Conveniently located near the harbour/downtown, spotless, modern, well-appointed with a lovely staff. Suite was spacious for four with in-room climate control, room service for breakfast and a fully equipped kitchen (only made a couple light meals during our week+ stay because restaurant access is very convenient). Rooms are quiet with the windows closed, the pub/bar scene is a few blocks away. Central location allowed doing different activities around town and then meet back at the BP when we wanted. Our tour transportation had no problem pick up in front or across the street in the harbour parking lot. Easily accessible indoor attached parking was a treat so we could venture out and not worry about where to put the car on our return. I already miss starting my day with a Deig donut...

My wife and I were here in Reykjavik last September and stayed at another nearby apartment. Returning in May we spent a week there, but we’re getting a little bored, so we switched to the Black Pearl for another week.
We asked for an early checkin which they were glad to accommodate our needs. We were assigned apartment 403, a really nice one bedroom. The furnishings are quiet modern and comfortable, but lacked a view of the harbor which we were accustomed. It comes with a Nespresso machine and a small collection of capsules. Top grade toiletries and the towel warmer are some of the other niceties. The frig is stocked with numerous”for charge” snacks, drinks, wines and alcohols. The apartment has a limited choice of TV programs, but with an hdmi cable we were able to connect our iPhone and view Netflix and Tubi movies.
The Black Pearl is conveniently located a place we’re can definitely recommend. Larry and Kelly, Georgetown, Texas.

The Black Pearl was found on trip advisor from the great reviews. The hotel apartment lived up to every good thing that was said it. Centrally located to everything-ideal for visiting the sights, restaurants, harbor, and enjoying being in the city-so manageable; modern and well appointed one bedroom apartment, fully equipped including modern appliances, fabulous in-suite breakfast we recommend; and the most helpful concierge service ever. The staff went beyond our expectations to make our stay memorable. We loved the Black Pearl and will return.

We had a terrific stay previously at the Black Pearl in a Standard Suite and decided to return again and this time stayed in the Deluxe Suite with 2 bedrooms.
The apartment was nice and spacious. The large living room, fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms and large bathroom with washer and dryer (though we didn't use them during the stay) made the apartment a great place to stay.
The personnel at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. About the only negative was a mysterious beeping sound that went off in our apartment a number of times including during the middle of the night that took the staff a few days to figure out and resolve.
Overall though, we had a great stay and would not hesitate to return again.

The Black Pearl is a real gem! Very clean and modern with great conveniences - a fully equipped kitchen to cook if you are interested, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster etc. The harbor location is perfect!!! Great restaurants and activities near by. A very close bus stop for tour pick ups. In 5 minutes you can reach the main shopping, restaurant and gathering spots. Also an incredibly professional and friendly staff that happily answers questions and takes care of your needs. Serge and Alavaro were awesome! They are great ambassadors for the hotel. If you secure a reservation at the Black Pearl you won’t be disappointed!!!

Spotless clean, very convenient location, very well furnished, full of technology, fully equiped kitchen with modern appliances. Garage for your rented car, especially in winter is a great advantage. Wow! We loved this place. We were going to stay at the new Edition, which is beautiful, but we were so happy at the Black Pearl. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. When we arrived we decided to upgrade to the deluxe suite with washer/dryer and it was perfect. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic apartments, really well appointed. We had one of the penthouse apartments, with its own access lift. The apartment is big, and has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The living room, kitchen/diner is spacious, and the kitchen has everything you need, apart from a microwave and washing machine. But we did have free laundry, so that was fine. The bedroom was large and the bed was comfy and warm with nice down filled duvets.
Location wise, the Black Pearl is less than a minute from the sea and harbour. And less than 5 minute walk into town, the Main Street is probably 10mins walk away? I think its perfectly placed and offers walkable access to all the places you need to get to.
All in all, a very nice stay. I'd definitely stay here again. Yes its pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I am currently a guest at The Black Pearl and must share my positive news about my stay here. First off, the photos perfectly depict these wonderful apartments. They are spotlessly clean and kitchen is very well equipped. Nice sized refrigerator and freezer.
The neighborhood is ideal as it's really nice about being close to tourist sights while being in a quiet, non-partying neighborhood. There is no bar or disco in this building or even across the street.
Perhaps elevating my stay to beyond 5 stars is the very genuine lady at the front desk from 8-4 who checked me in early after my 24 hour journey here from my home in Hawaii and then personally helped me with ideas for tourist tours and grocery stores within a short walking distance. There are 3 very close grocery stores, including a very nice and very reasonable Bonus store.

This was our first time staying at the Black Pearl and it did not disappoint. There’s a very good reason there are so many positive reviews!
Everything about the hotel is “thoughtful” - the service, the amenities, the set up of the room. We ordered breakfast one morning and the staff took great care to make sure the table was set up perfectly - they don’t miss a detail at this hotel.
It’s very clean in a very convenient location. What more could you want?

WiFi is complimentary for all our guests and an access code is provided at check in. We do have smart TVs in all the rooms which can connect to Netflix. However, guests are required to use their own Netflix accounts. The TVs have BBC London and BBC News. Our Penthouse also has Apple TV, but again, guests are required to use their own log in. I hope this information is useful to you, but if you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
