The Reykjavik Natura - Berjaya Iceland Hotels garners praise for its strategic location near the airport and its ease of parking, a boon for those renting cars or booking on the fly. Guests revel in the inviting atmosphere, with a lobby and rooms that exude warmth, although opinions diverge on the bathroom's modernity. The hotel's cleanliness is consistently acclaimed, contributing to its welcoming feel. While the on-site restaurant and spa are popular amenities, visitors caution that limited pool hours and extra spa fees might diminish perceived value, alongside pricey dining options. The staff is typically lauded for their friendliness, despite occasional lapses in service.

We stayed twice at this hotel during our trip to Iceland. We arrived very early in the morning, and were happy that the hotel was able to accommodate our request for an earlier check-in. We decided not to try to go directly there but see a few things our near Keflavik then come to the hotel late morning. The first stay was just one night before we set out to travel the Ring Road for 5 days. For the second stay, we spent 3 nights here. We had a car, so the location being a bit away from the city center was not a big problem for us. We barely noticed any noise from the adjacent airport but we were facing the parking lot rather than the airport. In both stays, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our triple room was very basic but adequate for our needs. A little more sitting space and desk space would have been really nice. The bathroom was perfectly fine. There was a small refrigerator but we really missed having a microwave. Housekeeping service during a stay is by request only apparently due to covid protocols. Wireless internet was sufficient. We did not try the onsite restaurant, which was way out of our price range especially for breakfast. We instead picked up some things at grocery stores and ate plenty for about 20% of the cost. The biggest problem we had was that our room in each case was overlooking the smoking area outside (3rd floor, then 2nd floor) and we wanted to have the window open to cool the room a bit. We only got whiffs of the smoke a few times, but people would be out there at all hours talking loudly and laughing. They weren't doing anything unreasonable, but it was very annoying at times for us. I asked for a different location on our second stay, but it seems all of the triple rooms are in that same area so we were stuck.

This place felt like a home away from home in large thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. Everyone was genuinely happy to see and it help you.

The location, near to the Myrargata public bus stop, is perfect for day tours. Most your companies will offer pickup at the “blue stop” which is just out front and to the left (facing the harbor) of the hotel entrance. It’s also close enough to the city center to walk (weather permitting) to city tour meet up points or to tour the city on your own. This also doubled as great for me over New Years considering I could watch the display of fireworks from the hotel window 👍🏾👍🏾 vs the -6 C weather 🥶

This location also kept you close to plenty of dining options including authentic Napoleon pizza at Flatey’s, Vietnamese Pho or try the popular fish dishes, Arctic char & fish (cod) and chips at Icelandic Fish & Chips just behind the hotel on Myrargata.

The rooms themselves were mega comfy and spacious enough without being obnoxious. The attention to detail and various calls to action sporadically around the room as decor deserve a round of applause. The bathroom though presented as small was wonderful and stocked well enough that I didn’t require room service for the length of my weeks stay!

The common areas offer traditional Icelandic figurines and provide an Instagram friendly aesthetic in more ways than one. I never caught breakfast because I was busy day touring but I did catch the happy hour and enjoyed the tacos and wings w blue cheese with a couple of beers at discounted pricing at the attached restaurant, Slippbarinn.

The television, wifi struggled w connection. And speaking of wifi, you only get access to the free wifi on one device then are asked to upgrade for further access. At one point the electricity went out for a nice handful of hours (due to a cyclone larger than they’ve seen in a decade so…). I also had more than a few issues w my keys not working so be sure to ask they set the default expiration on the key cards to the day after your checkout to help avoid the frustration.

If I return to Iceland, the Icelandair Reykjavik Marina will be first choice.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel as part of an Icelandair vacation package. The room was clean but very small. The room was not cleaned one day so we had to get fresh towels from the reception area. The location is near a small, regional airport but we never heard the planes. The location is on the outskirts of the city so we had to take a shuttle (they do provide a free shuttle that makes stops at the Perlan Museum and Harpa) or taxi to get to/from most places. The restaurant only serves buffets for each meal so a light meal consisted of prepared items from a lobby refrigerator. On a very positive note, everyone who worked the front desk was friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for three nights as part of an Icelandic Air tour. The tour was excellent. Icelandic Air owns the hotel which is right next to corporate headquarters and the regional airport.
The room on the 4th floor was fine and a nice view over the City and the Perlan. However, Natura hotel is quite a way from the downtown and restaurants, it is NOT a walk-able location at all as it is quite industrial area with a great deal of construction. There is an infrequent free shuttle to downtown, but UBER is not allowed and taxis are very expensive. The big problem was food--the hotel has a very elaborate and good breakfast and dinner buffet, but no other menu. The breakfast buffet is 22$ US and the dinner around $44 US (tax included, no tip necessary.) This is not too bad by Reykjavik standards, but a less expensive and less heavy choice would have been nice. Next time we will stay downtown close to restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Stayed a total of six non-consecutive nights in three different rooms (two nights at a time). Located next to the domestic airport, but overall fairly quiet as there are no night flights. It takes at least 30 minutes to walk to the city center, and there are no restaurants or stores nearby.
Two out of three rooms had issues with temperature control. The "superior" room was actually the worst, with underfloor heating that took 6 hours to adjust. Another room had a heat radiator, but also a vent blowing cold air which couldn't be adjusted.
The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable, but pillows were too thin and soft. Room amenities included electric kettle and refrigerator.
Bathroom with small shower. Cheap tension shower curtain rods not attached to the wall (one came off). Good shower pressure.
Wifi worked well.
Check-ins and check-outs were very slow, with the staff always spending several minutes on the computer.
For the price paid, I expected better.

We enjoyed the hotel Itself. It was clean. Staff were attentive. Rooms were small but it’s Europe. Bathroom shower was a nice surprise considering what I am used to in Europe. They offered us super early check in for not too much extras since we arrived at 8am which was nice as we had traveled all night. Location is horrible however in my opinion. It’s a 20-35 minute walk to anywhere with anything. In the cold. Lol. They have an on-site expensive restaurant that we did not
Enjoy at all and the shuttle that is included ends at 6pm making dinner planning a challenge every night.

A very good deal through Travel Zoo, I didnt expect much, a little out of town near Reykjavík Airport.
The hotel is owned by Icelandair whose office are next door.
We were made very welcome, the reception and lobby area were tasteful and warm. Some reviews say the rooms were small, ours was fine up on the third floor. There is not much within a ten minute walk, but the buffet evening meal in the hotel was excellent and reasonable by Icelandic standards, breakfast is expensive. We walked into the centre twice, about 25 to 30 minutes in snow passed the frozen lake. The first few minutes are tricky as the site is currently surrounded by building works, however, no noise.
The staff were helpful for trips or local information, we enjoyed walking around Reykjavik. We also visited a local outdoor pool and hot tub area, for a fiver. About 30min walk from the hotel.

I spent five nights at this excellent hotel, which is about a 20 to 30 (in the snow!) minute walk into the city centre. Everything about the hotel is really excellent, in my opinion: very large, comfortable bedroom with a really comfortble bed, spotlessly clean, efficient reception and all the staff in all areas of the hotel really friendly and all speak perfect English. The restaurant is really great with a fantastic choice of food for both buffet breakfast and dinner; in addition, there is a carvery at dinner. I really cannot fault this hotel and the staff and hope to return again and again to visit this beautiful city.

This hotel was clean and decently priced. We were accommodated with a 6 hour early check in for a nominal fee. In lieu of having towels changed every day, we were given a coupon for the hotel restaurant. The location was good and within walking distance of a few attractions. There is also a spa attached to the hotel. I would recommend Hotel Natura.

We stayed here in January on our first night in Iceland. Comfortable rooms with polite and helpful staff.
The dinner buffet is expensive but very good and better value than most other options. The breakfast was also expensive but good. Ordering off the snack menu for lunch was less impressive - our club sandwich was just a bit of chicken and cheese in toast!
Each floor has a different grotesque picture on the landing wall - not sure why they don’t have paintings/photographs of the beautiful Icelandic scenery instead...
The Perlan is less than 5 mins by car and well worth a visit.
Would stay again.

I hired a car at a very reasonable rate from the airport. The roads are easy to drive on and never really busy compared to what I'm used to. Unless you intend to use pre booked tours the whole time I would recommend you do this.

Parking is free and in our experience, plentiful. It was actually more crowded during the day when the adjacent Icelandair offices were open than it was in the evenings. Parking is not covered, but right next to the main entrance.
